[Q] How to set black background - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, just simple question. How can I setup black background for all ROM apks that doesnt have their own background?
I tried Omega 5.0, Wanam 1.2, prerooted MF2 ROM and all of these have very dark grey colour backgroung in settings, contacts, messaging etc. Before MEA (e.g. on ME2 I used quite long) there was 100% black background (with well known smearing efect which doesnt bother me so much). So, sammy changed the background from black to dark grey for eliminating smearing efect and to shut our mouth up THX for advice I think many of us love our AMOLED display with true blacks and hate samsung for these cheap tricks!
Here are screenshot, if you cant see the difference, just use the pipette (colour picker) in your favourite photo editing program and observe what colour it truly is...

nobody????
well
i figured out how to do this.. sort of.... hehehe
but well i had my own costom background on my diamond and my camera froze cuz i was messing around with the settings so it was still running in the background, and i could se theat certain parts of the background on my phone where changing, and it was still the camera and it was on all tabs because i had the background in all tabs, though it was just a few dots on the background it was still working just like that, of course i dont know what color it is, but there is a color that was on that picture that made the camera go through to the background, he just made a background of that same color and set it for all the tabs. or atleast something similar to that

Whites on Omnia7

People who have the omnia 7 can do a test with her to see if mine is defective or something? In the glow when you change from automatic to manual not, notice a big difference if they have the white background? And when at maximum brightness teem (manual) to change between the home and the other main scree apps from the white background does not get darker? And on a white background apps tb not notice the difference in whites (are grayed out)?
I think this strange..
It's not a fault mate - it's some kind of power saving feature that's built into the display. It's annoying to be honest as i too would like to use the White theme but when it dulls it to the grey it just looks horrid.
This is the only real negative thing i have to say about the Omnia 7 - i just wish Samsung had left it upto us to adjust this ourselves.

Menu backgrounds/keyboard color question

I'm considering pre-ordering the Galaxy S4 for Verizon but I've been noticing something odd. The international reviews show a firmware with A white keyboard, and consistent white menu/app backgrounds throughout. The US versions seem to have the black backgrounds for the settings menus and gallery apps, dark keyboard, but other apps such as messaging, contacts and dialer are white themed. Is there an option to change that? It just seems inconsistent to have some apps dark and some apps light. Perhaps a custom ROM will bring a more uniform theme.
On my S4 it's all black, didn't see any white yet, don't think any S4 has black/white mixed .

My S4 (AT&T) has the white contacts, dialer, and messaging...and everything else is dark. Wish I could change this somehow but there doesn't seem to be any options.

[Q] changing the color of the phone, contacts, and messaging screens

I just recently got my Note 3 last week through At&t and I'm highly satisfied. I have a question that I have not found the answer to yet. The phone, contacts, and message screens are predominantly white with black font. I kind of have a hard time with this due to my bad eyes. I can see better with a black background with white font. Is there a way to change these screens to black? I have watched some YouTube videos and see people with black backgrounds And White font in these screens. Help please.

i have a n9005 branded voda phone.
its overall colour re dailer, messages ,contacts is standard a darkish blue /black with white letters.
so it seems it a carrier thing .?( your colour white with black font or did you by accident enable a wrong settings ?)
one thing, have you tried to go.....settings /device/accessibility then scroll down to negative colours (reverse the colour of screen )
if i tick it my dark screen will be reversed to white etc..etc untick and i have darkscreen with white lettering
there is also other very good settings on that page eg..font size ...short cut
see screenshot ..have you tried this ?
good luck .

white text over white background - temasek cm13

Hi,
A few weeks ago I've started to get white text over white background in the chome's search bar. I've left it that way since search sentences are short. But today it started to happen in whatsapp (after a whatsapp update)
I use dark/black themes. I've tried to apply different themes, even downloaded a new ones, but it happens the same. It seems new themes doesn't apply to the chat window. After a first change (and reboot) the dark backgroud of the chat window was gone (the dark background of the conversation list is dark), and no matter what theme is chosen, no dark background is applied. With some themes I see "normal" colored background (with white letters over white background) and with others I see also the "normal" background but with dark letters.
I don't know if it's importat, but a while ago I noticed my phone wasn't rooted anymore. I left it that way since I'm not needing rooting much.
