having issues touching Install button... - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

i just flashed the 6-14 build of the PAC rom for ATT and i cant seem to install any APK from 3rd party source.. my touches arent being registered over the install button.. i can press the cancel button just fine.. is there some sort of other check box i need checked other than the usual "unknown sources" check box?

nevermind i figured it out.. but just in case someone else has this issue i'll leave this here.. it's Halo.. if you have it turned on it will block the install button.. just turn it off while you are installing stuff and turn it back on after you are done..

Boot problem GT-I5801 Please help

***HEY GUYS HELP***
I have Galaxy 3 gt-i5801
I heard a lot about froyo so i tried to upgrade but odin downloader crashed in middle and now my phone is not starting up .
Power button and other combo button are also not working help me ...
Phone not starting or booting please help
Did you also select the bootloader? If yes, then there is a possibility of bricking?
Try the following:
1. Remove battery
2. press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds
3. Put in the battery
4. Press volume down + home + power key
This should take you to download mode. If it does, select all files one by one except bootloader. Also do not remove extension .md5. Odin will automatically check it.
Uncheck protect ops and upgrade.
If this fails, I dont have an idea. if someone else can help you it will be great else you will need to visit samsung service center. Act like you dont know anything
Its not working
any other solution please.
Looks like bootloader is screwed up. Only way to fix it is, send device to samsung service center. Tell them some reasonable cause to get it under warranty.

Can't turn off my HD2 !

Hi,
I have just installed tytung ICS ROM v1.5 for my HD2. ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860 )
This is the first time i flashed my phone.
Everything work properly but i have a strange/annoying problem : i can't turn off my phone !
When i press power button a few seconds, a screen who asks me if i want to put phone on plane mode, or change phone mode ( mute, vibrator, ect...) appears. But i can't power off, if i press one more time the power button when i'm on this screen, the phone freeze during many seconds and says that no sim card are found. And just after i have to re-enter my sim-code to unlock the phone.
Like if he reboot.
I don't undertsand, can anyone help me ?
Thanks in advance !
PS: sorry for my bad english.
EDIT: i search on network how the power menu will be displayed.
I found this: http://i.imgur.com/Gz1HH.png
But, on my case, i've just "Airplane Mode" and the 3 sounds icons.
PowerOff, Reboot and Screenshot are not displayed on my menu, why ?
EDIT 2: I found my problem, in general settings i actived "show power off menu" and now it work
Sorry for inconvenience.
I am glad the OP was able to fix the problem. But for anyone that this does not fix your problem, I suggest you go and grab the app Quick Boot from Google Play. You have to be rooted to use it but it gives you all the following options.
Power down
Reboot into Recovery
Restart
Edit: You also have to be using clk as the custom bootloader for Android for the Reboot to Recovery option to work.

[Q] Stuck in Boot Loop

Hi guys, I rooted my S4 i9500 a month back using CF auto root and was on stock firmware, it was running fine. Then a week back I installed wanam xposed and made some changes in the setting to change phone features. It was working ok too.but then i didnt like it and uninstalled both wanam and xposed framework without undoing the changes i had made. today suddenly the phone shutdown and got stuck in boot loop. i cant access recovery mode or download mode nor safe mode. i pulled battery tried after a while but still nothing. any tips or idea on how to recover. thanks in advance. i tried to search Google and xda forums but couldn't find a solution.

wow!
This is something really bad! Even download mode? you sure you press the right buttons?
what did you actually changed in wanam xposed? as far as i know wanam is more on, on theming and not tweaking.
I am pressing the right buttons volume down+ home+power, it shows the the download mode but before i can press volume up to enter it it reboots.
And what about download mode? Also keep rebooting? Are you pressing right combo
press home+volup+ power, when the logo appears release power button and keep pressed the other buttons and voila.
Once in recovery, flash Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip. When the first time install Xposed it creates a file in your sdcard folder called Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip. All you need to do is boot into recovery and flash the disabler file so Xposed will disabled and your device will be working again. Once disabled you can remove the Xposed module that cause trouble.
My dear friends i am pressing the right combo and as i said, i cant access download mode or the stock recovery. I gave the phone to samsung service and those idiots are giving all kinds of explanations saying power switch may be faulty or charging pin is faulty. i am irritated, they just want to raise my bill by changing all parts.
Take the S4 to other place to get second opinion.
Maybe a stuck power button. It's a common s4 problem. You can try knocking the phone near the power button.
You have a stuck/faulty power button. It just happens so nothing you did that caused this. Try to get it loose or replace it.
Thanks you guys. You are quite brilliant. It was the power button. Unfortunately i didn't read this before so couldn't try figiting with it. and took it to Samsung service and they replaced the power button from 6$. Working fine now. quote relieved i must say. Thanks all

Knock on not working after "Device test" in hidden menu [D802]

It's been always like that.
Whenever I press "Device test" in the hidden menu, the device gets semi-stuck (not really.. because when I press the home button it exits) and I lose my knock on (both when screen on and off).
I forgot about it and pressed on it again.
My last nandroid backup is pretty old...
What should I try?
Ofc I tried the hidden menu touch firmware upgrade.. Didn't work.
CloudyG3 2.0 + Dorimanx 9.5
I know its such a common question that had already became annoying to answer, but please. I would really appriciate it.
To what is the knock on feature related to?
I tried flashing a newer Dorimanx kernel, it didn't work.
Knockcode works fine.
Even the G3tweakbox "doubletap the navbar to lock" works.
What should I try next to make the KnockOn work?
Might it be off for some reason? Where can I find it to turn it on if so? I searced all the menus and did a web search. I dont have it under "gestures".

Black screen OP5

This is the first time i experienced it i have no idea to fix this.
So here's the scenario:
I flashed xXx 10.9 without anyproblems. EXCEPT that i cant get through the android setup wizard. After connecting to wifi (where you have to choose and enter your password) it just blacks out.
You can see the status bar and the power button if you hard press it. BUT there is no recovery button since i cannot enable it through the developers option. And one last problem is that
I have the new bootloader where there is no option for recovery and such.
Anyone knows how to fix this? I'm stuck

So i flashed the rom, unticked skip aroma wizard.
After booting, it says com.oneplus.setupwizard keeps stopping. Watch dogs animation has nothing to do with this right?
Im flashing xXx 10.9 OB11 btw

If you setup your device after tick skip setup wizard just reboot to aroma and untick skip setup wizard and flash again.
It should help to get rid of this FC pop-up.
