Can't you just remap the key in /system/usr/keylayout/your-keylayout-file.kl ? I haven't tried personally, but it might work.

Solved! Wrong file edited.
Solution for HTC devices: the files that have to be edited are the ones that end with "touchscreen".

These are ripped from the /system/app folder.
Let me know if you need more files from the LPF ROM.

Is the Swype same version as that in LPY ?
The swype in LPY is irritating ! The "suggestion" bar, constantly disappears and reappears ! Causing lots of screen refresh !
BTW. SamsungChineseIE.apk causes FC !
Thanks. I copied into system / app but it doesn't show up as an input that can be selected. I'm using Swiftkey X default on LiquidSmooth V1 rom.

U are missing the library files. Samsung IEM doesn't work as a stand alone apk. Can't think of the names of the files you need right now but dig around there should be a post some where have those files included.

Under LRK try libjni_latinime.so and libjni_secime.so
may be it's the same under LRF too
Thanks for sharing the app with us. To understand the purpose of the app. You can use it to restore your IMEI in case you missed it or lost. Am I correct. In that case. does anyone used it .. and give us a demonstration how to use it without damaging anything.
Thanks
Nope, AFAIK this has no relation to IMEI, this one is for chinese input for keyboard.

Ramdisk diff
This is a diff file for the Jellybean ramdisk from ICS. This is from the galaxy nexus and will have to be changed for your specific device. Some notes that are not shown in the diff are that /sbin/adbd and init changed -- These are both binaries so they need to be manually taken from the jb ramdisk.

I think I might just start from scratch again and use this to make a new first version.I hope this can help me get a booting version for the Sensation, but I make no promises. What I have so far is just bootlooping. Thanks for your work and the post......

The main thing you have to edit is the init.rc, but you may need to edit other things as well. I still have not found the right combinations of edits for my port to boot, Anyway use something like WinMerge to compare the files from the ramdisk of your base ROM with the ramdisk of the SDK. You can also edit the files while you have them in WinMerge.
Thank you so much, I will definitely try using that tool, and that gives me a direction to try towards.
cheers!
Ok guys i feel like im getting closer. The exact error im getting is,
Could not find method com.android.providers.settings.DatabaseHelper.setWriteAheadLoggingEnabled, referenced from method com.android.providers.settings.DatabaseHelper.<init>
Anyone have any ideas? I know that settings is crashing but i don't know what to do about it. Here is the full logcat http://paste.ubuntu.com/1065069/
Is the whole pastebin is to replace everything in init.rc? Or some of it?

That means that it can not find com.android.providers.settings.DatabaseHelper.setWriteAheadLoggingEnabled that is referenced in the init of the ramdisk. So you need to look at the init of the ramdisk and see where it is looking for that file and then place that file where it is suppose to be.
Also I finally got my port booting but it does not get passed the bootanimation and I got the adb working, yay.
I hate the new system where you have to long press for options and short press gives you task manager (Which I never use).
Is there a way to revert it?

Yes, root only, and you'll need the xposed framework. .. well worth doing, and the first thing I installed when I got my phone yesterday! I now have menu options on the left key how it should be!

Hi!
I'm looking for mod or app for my Galaxy A5 (SM-A510F) that I can make touch keys (menu and back) as led notofication. I remember when I had the GS1 there was an app... it was BLN(?) or something.
Thanks for help.

Sorry i don't know any apps that can do that. Also you should root your device so that you could use tweaks that do stuff like that, i have the exact same phone as you and i rooted it using https://forum.xda-developers.com/sa...overy-samsung-sm-a510f-fd-exynos7580-t3314399

These kind of things are kernel related.
If the stock kernel does not permit this, the only way you can do is to root your phone and flash a custom kernel/ROM...
