Noob question:
Is there any ROMs, not based on Stock that have the drivers to handle the IR Blaster on the S4?
Is it or will it be possible to install a ROM like CM10.1 and be able to use the IR through differents apps?
I know the kernel source code is released by Samsung, does that mean that the drivers can be implemented to any ROMs?

Any AOSP or CM based rom has a non working IR. The disadvantages of not having a TW based ROM. No ETA or workaround
It worked perfectly in 2.8
I would love to have it working in 2.9

look in the op for the mod and it will tell you if it is compatable with AOSP.
I don't want to lose access to the Samsung Stock Camera app. The HDR feature is incredibly good. Which roms actually include it, or is it easy enough to put back in if a rom doesn't.

Any touchwiz based ROM will have it. I don't know if it can be implemented on any AOSP ROM's since some TW apps only work on TW framework.

No, JFLTE is just a device/variant name of the S4. Touchwiz is the software running on the device. Usually just look at the rom title and it will include "TW" or "Android 4.xw/TW". Also if you read the features of the rom it will usally say based on Samsung Touchwiz or whatnot.
The other software versions are: AOSP, CM, GE/Google Edition. (Which would mean they are not Touchwiz roms)
hey, so i have a international note 3 and wanna install stock 4.4 rom on it but dont really wanna lose the spen features (air command n all). so is there any roms out there which do this??

Most custom roms are TW based except Cyanogenmod and AOKP/AOSP roms, look in the Android Development or Original Android Development threads for the custom roms.

No, cause these apps are propietery Samsung apps and are not and will never be open scource.

Viper isn't supported yet, that goes for any of the Note 3 Lollipop roms as they are based on the same source. We're going have to wait until there's a fix or a custom kernel is introduced.
i got it working but only with AOSP ROMs.
