Recently tested the use oppo find5 st2 default browser to open the kitchensink project, the same does not work. But open other pages you can run, so the problem should be in a st2 bug.

If I look at the Known Issues then nothing works
ActiveX is disabled - Flash plugins and embedded video streaming do not work.
Custom software keyboards (IME) will be buggy at best, not working at worst.
No multilingual build - Only English is supported. Problems with other languages (and input methods) are not unexpected.
Installation on memory cards may cause problems.
Text wraps in overview mode.
Main testing has been done on English HTC devices (Touch Diamond, Touch Pro, Touch, Touch Dual, Touch Cruise, TyTN and Wizard) and Samsung i900.
Landscape mode does not take keyboard position into consideration.
Devices with low memory might get Out Of Memory (OOM) messages.
Opera is always running when the Widgets Manager is running.
On devices with hight DPI some of the pre-installed widgets look small.
When an URL is opened from a widget, there will be an extra browser window opened in the background that's not working properly.
Ok I installed it in my Diamond.
Its build 2723 and seems to be really fast. I installed into device and it doesn't messed up with my ROM's Opera.
The navigation is really fine but the whole widget thing is very buggy. Once you run Widgets the browser doesn't run anymore. You need to kill Opera and OperaL process or softreset. Avoiding widgets you will have a great experience.
Ok, some minutes later and I've got another impression.
Beta 2 is fast and render better some pages (gmail in normal view for example) but its unusable. The shortcut calls sometimes default Opera, sometimes the beta version. Always when I close beta version it displays widgets and i cant open the browser again. Download only for testing purposes.

You have two versions of Opera installed on your device simultaneously... expect problems!
Doesn't seem to take advantage of the accelerometer in the Diamond.
Wow, sad to see that Opera still sucks so much.
Also their forums are full of rants and the mods over there keep censoring and deleting forum postings and even whole threads.
Don't know what's going on, but commercial WM development is getting worse with every day. Just look at CorePlayer, STILL no fixed build for the Diamond, they even don't manage to put a build out which at least fixes the every now and then hickup while playing music.
On the other hand underground development is going higher every day, as seen in this forum.

Installed the build 2723 and removed the previous Opera9 and OperaL. Indeed, the speed is impressive! Opera Browser is now automatically loaded after each soft rest, however. Is there any way to avoid the auto-load after soft rest? As in the precious setting, I prefer to open/load the Opera Browser when needed in order to save memory.
Also, if Opera Browser is closed after being loaded into the memory (at the soft reset), it can't be re-opened without another soft rest. Any one encounters the same and may have solutions?
Can anyone please make the Beta 2 as an vga SD version...

Opera Build 16070

found this new Opera build 16070 on another site, works fine with xperia
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XKXM86YU
it's extracted from the new blackstone rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501751
I have found that most Opera builds extracted from other HTC devices do not support the touchpad nor the volume control enabled zooming the stock-rom support by default.
Is this one any different?
Does this have the physical keyboard problem the previews build had ?
The one that only allows one letter entry at a time bug.
Can someone please point me to the latest opera build that supports the touchpad. Have tested many versions but none seem to support the touchpad so am forced to use an old build that has crap zoom function and text flow.

It doesnt connect to any pages and I can't delete it. Now my weather and stocks tab cant connect to the internet anymore, as well as internet explorer.
What the hell is going on? When I try to remove the program, it says that Opera cannot be removed? wtf..?

Did you try to remove program files in file manager?
Does anyone know when Opera Turbo is being released, it looks amazing Build 9.7 that is. This version seems faster but isn't optimized for the X1 the icons are too small for easy finger usage. opera turbo however looks like it has similar icons to the current version.

Perfect way to set up my Touch HD? Trying to play Pokemon

Excuse me, I've tried multiple times with varying degrees of incomplete success to play Pokemon on my HD.
Graphical Performance is the issue and brings me here to ask for the best combination of Rom/Tweaks etc so I can have the best working HD ready to tackle the problem.
I also do not know how to access the registry* to perform registry hacks but please do mention such hacks as I just can't sift through every thing available on the internet (have tried for 2 days) just to find a working combination of hacks and mods and roms.
I also need to know what will be needed to be installed to correctly play Pokemon in full landscape mode with an invisible gamepad overlay in Morphgear.
Is there a better gameboy advanced emulator than Morphgear, if so please mention.
Thank You.
*I tried Total Commander but couldn't find the registry location with it exactly.
Hi Connor,
To make Pokemon work with the Touch HD, as you mentioned you do use the MorphGear emulator. I'm not sure if there is a better emulator or if it can be used in landscape mode...
To use MorphGear, simply download the program and install it with some modules (here).
Note: The modules are .cab files, transfer them on the HD and install.
Then download a good skin for gamepad like this. Now just transfer some ROMs (http://www.rom-freaks.net/) on your HD and load them with MorphGear.
To access the Registry, using your file explorer (Total Commander) go to the Windows directory and locate and open a file called RegEdit.lnk (i.e. registry editor).
By the way, are you using Stock ROM? just thought i'd mention that many cooks (people who make custom ROMs) also incorporate these 3rd party tweaking tools into their custom ROM releases. For example, the one i'm currently using (XannyTech Grid Evo 1.7C) has a Tweaks directory containing applications like 'Advanced config', 'HD Settings Tool', 'Registry Editor', etc by default. If you want to install these individually, then again search the forum for these. Another few i know of are called 'HD Tweak' and 'SKTools', which allow you to tweak and optimise your HD further.
You can also check out this article i came across for information on other tweaks: http://ec30.com/category/utilities
I hope this helps you out.
Regards.
Thanks that does help to give me a single source of tweaks to draw from.
Hope none of them should conflict and become redundant.
Any other tweaks helpful to performance are still welcome.
Now, about the ROM, which windows mobile/manilla combination should I use? Apparently 6.5.3 performs worse than 6.5.1? Does it? I do use custom ROMS, right now I'm on... Miri's 6.5? Premium Rom. Don't know if I should have chosen Premium but the next option down didn't feature Touch Flo.
Does anyone know how he has an invisible landscape overlay:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lE8DdQ-uitE
(you should probably turn off the sound)
Thanks for your help.

No problem at all mate. I would suggest that you read this thread, it gives you information on the latest builds and what they each offer in terms of stability and performance.
You can maybe consider Topix ROMs - they are generally quite fast as they are kept as close to stock. I know that Topix 3.2 has been benchmarked in this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=516190) thread - and yes: It's slower than 6.1 Topix. Still, 3.2 is one of the fastest 6.5 ROMs I've encountered - and the benchmarks do not necessarily represent your experience: For me, the latest Topix ROM seems almost as smooth and fast as the older ones! The difference is only minor! Especially since Kwbr uses Manila 2.1: The ROMs using the newer version of TouchFLO off of the HTC HD2 (Leo), Manila 2.5, have been known to run slower... but that's understandable as they were intended for use on the HTC Touch HD2, which is more superior than the Touch HD with more processing power, etc.
I currently use 28014 build (6.5.3) and in my opinion, I think its quite fast. I would reccommend you try out the same version as I currently use, if not satisfied, then try out Topix.
Regards.
If you're having graphical performance issues you could try a wm6.1 rom as in general they'd be faster than 6.5. I tried Dutty 3.9XT for awhile and liked it, it's very simple without a lot of extra things added. I've also tried EnergyRom (both 6.1 and 6.5 versions) and they were both very fast.

Pinch-to-zoom in Internet Explorer

Hi,
I saw a demo-unit of a HD Mini running Internet Explorer with real pinch to zoom:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LamsRF53KS4#t=3m24s (just press play and it will bring you to the right fragment).
The HD Mini is running a 23101 Windows Mobile build (as can be seen at an earlier time in the video).
I was wondering if it's possible to get this on the HD2 with the current "building blocks"
What we have at this moment is a test rom of the Mini:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5800696&postcount=13093 (WM 6.5, build 216xx)
and some 2310x builds
I played with these building blocks a little but I can't find how it is activated. Don't even know if I have the right building blocks, because I don't know if this was already implemented on the mini test rom.
Anyway, i'm looking for some suggestions as to where to look for this kind of functionality on the above given building blocks.
I'm interested too !
Running Miri Extralight, "pinch to zoom" is the only missing component in IE for me...
I have never tried as I don't use IE but have you tried adding it to the pinchtozoom whitelist in registry?

Yes, but that doesn't do the job. I even replaced the TouchGL driver, but that didn't work either. As you can see in the video IE is supporting native pinch to zoom and not a virtual desktop pinch to zoom. (There is definitely some reflowing of the text). I think we have to wait for a updated IE version.
There were pre-release ROM versions for the HD2 where it worked...

Blackberry Messenger/os on htc touch/elf

Hey guys,
for the last year or so ive been searching long and hard for a way to run blackberry messenger in some kind of way on my HTC touch/ELF, i hear of people receiving bbm,s on the touch pro using blackberry connect and people with the touch pro and HD running the entire blackberry os through some sort of virtualization, we would like to not only see bbm on touch pro and HD but general wm PPC devices. so if we have any developers out there up to the challenge to find a way to run bbm through a virtual environment like how lime wire runs on java etc this is he place to do it. and any one who finds some one else successfully running it some where else feel free to post a link or the download. an please no one posting that it cant be done, how you need a pin and that you cant visualize the pin. It can be done just not yet and thats what im starting this thread for.
Here is the link to download the blackberry application suit whish apparently works fine an touch pro.If we can eliminate most of it and just leave behind what is needed to use bbm that would be great, ibut but if we use the entire thing on the elf/touch we need to find a way to get a touch screen keyboard in there.
Here it is: megaupload.com/?d=ZP1A68MI
And link to other places where i have seen this
