Hi I've got my phone (GT-I9505) with vodafone contract (italy) and I noticed that after OTA update I9505XXUAME2 when i watch videos it freezes and got artefacts and then it reboots, everything else it's ok, very good device.

Alredy tried to factory reset and still the problem.
Will flashing again the rom solve this problem?

i got exactly the same problem than you (take a look there http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41082635) the day i received it so i decided to return it...after 3 weeks they send it back with the same problem (they changed the camera and update the system) but always the same damn problem. i thought i was the only one to have this problem...i bought my S4 since it came out and i used it only for 2 days... i hope they will give me another S4 because this is serious hardware problem. Thanks for the fast answer you said so that's an hardware problem? I've got some videos to not freeze with mx player (mp4 video) but with artefacts.
Anyway they are out of S4 and need to wait until this tuesday and hope they will get it for a replacement with a new one or it must go into warranty :/

i thought mx player fixed the problem for me too but NO watch the whole video and u will see the phone reboot. Next week i will get back my S4 and see if they fixed the problem but honestly i prefer a new one.
When i watched your pictures it reminds me my problem artefact then reboot even with youtube sometimes u think that the phone playing video but after a few minutes it reboots.

Hello,
About a month ago I had the opportunity to renew my mobile subscription. After 2 years of enjoying Samsung Galaxy S2 I decided to go for the new galaxy S5. So I got the phone and everything was fine for the first few weeks. Got use to the phone real quickly but had only one major issue. Every time I loaded up heavy graphical apps like asphalt 8 I got a really annoying and weird pixel rendering all over the screen. I have tried googleing my issue multiple times and have looked on many forms but couldn't quite find anyone with the same issue as I have been having.
There are 2 screen shots of asphalt 8 and a TV streaming app.

The bug also appears when i use the dual camera option.
I really like the new S5 and most of my other apps run smoothly on it. My question is has any one of you have or had this issue? Is it a software bug and should i not worry too much about it? I really hope some body can help me with this issue.
My carrier is T-Mobile in The Netherlands.

Since you mentioned that most of the apps run correctly, I would assume that your phone is acting funny only to a specific type of game engine or a specific type of code.
I would guess that it is not hardware related since you do not experience this problem on other apps.
Have you considered a factory reset to determine whether the bug persists?
Those could be artifacts. Does the phone get hot when that "bug" shows up?
I think it is a hardware issue. Smart phones are like mini computer. Computers show artifact on the monitor if the video card is heavily burdened caused by overclocking or just a sign that the video card is breaking down.

My phone does get a little hot when i'm playing the game. Its really weird. One day i had the game run completely smooth for a wile but then to back to the pixelated state in seconds. Oke i tried the next things: Usualy i have my phone in a flip case. After pulling the phone out. The pixels appeard only on the start screen of the game (asphalt 8) and some light flikker once in a wile.
Didn't know that it would be that big of an issue. The pixelation is still in the other apps. Now i'm wondering should i go to Samsung and ask them if the can relace my phone or do i have to live with it like this for the next 2 years.

Hi Guys,
I have a annoying problem with whatsapp.
When i receive a new message i open it and i see the latest message.
Then i open the keyboard to send back a message and thats when the problem kicks in whatsapp scrolls up a bit so i cant read te coversation, unless i scroll down.
This is only happend with new incomming messages.
When i open an older conversation whatsapp doesnt scroll up when i open the keyboard.
Im using custom rom cm13
I am nog sure if this is a specific whatsapp problem.
Anybody has a solution? Or maby more people with the same problem?

I've noticed the exact same issue - I've even joined their beta program thinking that maybe they have already fixed the issue in beta (they didn't, it still exists). No real work around that I've found.

I made a new clean install and now it's working fine again.
I think it had something to do with immersive mode.
?? (wish they had a male version) I didn't even think to do that. Funny how you get ahead of yourself sometimes trying to find a complex solution... I'll give that a try.

Still havent found any solution
I noticed the exact same thing. Initially it seemed fine, but it's gone back to needing to scroll to the bottom to see the latest message. I've tried using both swiftkey and Swype keyboards with the same result.
Strange.
Well maby a new update will fix this in the future, i hope sooner than later though..
I also have a problem with playing a video from the chat screen.
When i receive a video and download it, i cant play the file straight from the chat screen.
If i go back and reopen the chat then press the video it does play.
I is a little annoying when i receive a video, i have to close the chat, reopen it and then be able to play the video.
Forgive me if its posted somewhere else but I can't find anything about it.

Worked fine with current setup, phone screen broke about a month ago, had to use a Motorola RAZR Maxx in the meantime. Fixed my GS5 screen and started using it again. Ican't remember if I'd recieved successful videos via MMS since then but the last couple days they only show up as a picture, like the first frame of the video being Sent, and also the audio is received from the video, but the video is not there. What the heck is wrong? I have looked through my settings and everything seems to be OK, its not like I changed something that I know of. Even sending a video to myself, sends as a video but received as a photo with a separate audio file.
Google doesn't help me. I searched the site and am not pulling up anything similar. Any help?
Noticed as well that trying to play sent video from conversation to myself, first one will crash messaging, second one plays. Not sure what's going on.
There seems to be a bug in the new RR ROM update I can't find anything about, the stock camera app, as well as others from play store, will occasionally freeze and reboot phone immediately after opening camera. Not every time, but often.
I don't know if the 2 issues are related, I dont think so, but I first noticed MMS video issue after installing 'Open camera' from the market to see if that would fix the camera issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello XDA experts i have problem with my galaxy note 4 n910c witch started befor 2 days that when ever i start any game on my phone
It well appear hezy pixels .but when i take off the battry and start the phone i can play one gamewitch is normal and i start another game it bcome hezy again . The phone didn't fall down the only thing i did i charged the phone with power bank from cheero company
Then the problem developed. Other wise my phone fuctioning normally on playing videos and using other apps

Same problem here. All games are pixelated. Looks like its displaying zoomed in so much. I really hope someone comes up with a solution soon. Everything else works perfectly fine.

All games work perfect just after boot, but later on the problem starts. So highly doubt it is some rogue app or service that starts to run in the background.

Goto Application Manager and you need to find and uninstall or disable an app called "Game Optimization Service" . After this all the games work perfectly fine. Try this and do let me know.

Could be a bad code in that app. Anyway, I am so relieved that this creepy issue is solved.
Hello there! I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem. Sometimes (like once out of every 7 or 8 videos) my youtube app will glitch a little at the start of a video. Audio plays normally, but the image gets all glitchy showing green and black boxes and some parts of the actual video scattered all over the place. This goes on for like 5 seconds and then the video keeps playing normally. First time I've faced this problem on the youtube app, so I wanted to know if it was a Mi 9T problem or something else. I'll try to catch the glitch on video. Thanks!

I am also facing this issue after software update to 10.3.8.0 on K20_IN. But for me most of the time its on anime videos. Videos shot with a real camera seems to not have the issue

Hey there. This seems a issue with software, I had a talk with someone who is a developer. He said it is issue with miui which will automatically solve in next uodate
