I just upgraded from MDM to MEA. I noticed that some applications that use drag and drop in lists now have a problem. For examlpe, take Nova Launcher. In the settings, you can go to drawer and then drawer categories and hold down on a category to start dragging to reorder the categories. But as soon as the dragging is invoked, the top of the screen disappears while dragging is active.
Can someone confirm this issue with MEA and Nova Launcher? I think it may be a bug from Samsung with the Android styles in the new firmware.
In case anyone is interested: I checked this issue with another device that was completely stock and the issue is there as well. It's an issue with the firmware. I hope that Samsung notices this problem since it seems only few people notice this problem judging by the number of replies. Anyway, for me this issue is "resolved" since I could confirm that it's a bug in the firmware. But it may be possible that we could somehow fix this bug by fiddling with some system styles if we have root.

Anyone having a problem with the digital clock stock widget? My widget size is 3x1 and when installed, cuts off the day/date text. Is there a 4x1 size option? Seems like something has happened to my widget. I am latest version, stock, rooted. Anyone else having similar problem? It's very aggravating.

Mine did this last Sunday and has been the same ever since. I have rooted but am still running latest stock firmware

The Day text is cut off and shifted down a line so it shows:

Rather than:

I don't use a clock on my screens though as there is one in the lower right corner.

Ah looking back on some earlier Tab images used as promo's it is clear it should be the Day and Date in 1 line... Not sure what could be causing this. *scratches head*
I solved the problem by going into settings/applications/digital clock and uninstalling the updates. Seems like the latest update screwed my digital clock up. Once I did that, it works like it should and doesn't cut off anything...day/date on first text line, and city on second text line. And, the size of the widget is now 5x2. I knew something wasn't right with the size. That's why it was cutting off the day/date text.

Mine did that when I tried to set the city name to nothing (blank).
Setting a name fixed it.
I see now that that doesn't work. Sorry for the misinformation.
Can't find any updates to remove to fix widget size.
Re jyams's fix, I've the same problem but can't find any way to uninstall any clock updates.
Is this because mine's not rooted?
The fact that the day is show followed by a comma tells me that the widget size is the problem.
More confused than ever
Just noticed that when the tablet comes out of standby, awaiting the padlock to be dragged, the original, properly displayed time widget is displayed. It has a different font but isn't truncated, it's as if I'm using the wrong widget on the homepage.
anyone find a fix? Mine was normal until I decided to rearrange my Widgets and deleted the stock one now I have this problem.
I had the same issue once, messed with it for like a day trying to get it to work...finally figured out that if I lock the rotation with the switch then reboot, it causes the clock widget to malfunction. Playing with the rotation lock switch, making sure to end up in the unlocked position, then rebooting fixed it for me. Don't know if it will work for you, but worth a shot.
Hi... I have been using Nova launcher since a long time but just 2daz back i have updated to 5.0.1 and since then am facing problem with Gestures.... When i choose Swipe down gesture to Expand Notifications, nothing happens.. But Swiping up gesture works just fine...
Any Idea how to solve this???
P.S. Used Next Launcher too, same problem with Swiping Down gesture!!!!

I've looked around but couldn't find anything. I've noticed that when I change my DPI in the build.prop the Google Search bar is gone from the top of the recent app list. I've changed my DPI on every device I've owned, and this is the first time I've noticed this issue.
I've also noticed that once in a while it does appear, but I don't exactly know what's triggering it, and it will disappear the next time I go to the recents menu.
I'm most comfortable at 500 right now. I've tried 520, 480, and 420 (what the N5X is at). Everyone of them seems to have this issue. I really can't stand keeping it at 560.
I did something in the build prop relating to trying to activate multiwindow using "persist.sys.debug.multi_window=true*" but I don't have root. Ever since, my search bar in recents has disappeared.
NOTE: I've tried to reboot into safe mode but things always return back to being abnormal after. I need help or suggestions.

Same problem here with a nexus 5x. I've tried reboot to safe mode, clear cache, force stopping google now launcher but nothing happened. This problem is driving me crazy!
I haven't had a search bar in my recents since I got the phone (although I unlocked BL, flashed it to MDB08M and systemless rooted as soon as I got it), haven't found a solution. Any ideas?
Incompatible app
The search bar disappears due to an incompatible app, especially apps which creates widget's. In my case its yatse app causing the search bar to disappear. Identify the app uninstall and reboot.
Turn on Auto-rotate and load some apps in recent apps.Open recent apps.
Now switch to landscape mode and then back again to portrait mode.
Now I'm not sure if this is the right sub-forum and whether or not these bugs I've found are subjective to Nougat and/or Oreo specifically, but I've noticed quite a few bugs within both versions.
However, I'm only going to post the bugs I've found while using Oreo, and I hope other people contribute to this thread and I will continue to submit bugs when I find them.
Bugs so far:
Evie Launcher crashes, forcing me to use default launcher, and only one time have I been alerted that it crashed (every other time it just goes to default.)
Can not use widgets with other launchers.
"Battery Saver" (the standard battery saver) is missing from notification panel (since Nougat, it has just disappeared.)
Lock screen changes back to Magazine lock screen wallpaper randomly and removes the one I set.
I will keep adding as I find more.
So I have been using nova prime for a long time and up until yesterday I noticed an issue where I have an option to hide notification panel. When it's hidden and I enable swipe gesture to access notification drop down as the panel moves up my widgets move up and the notification panel with the clock and WiFi and such is no longer hiding as it should until I hit recent apps then it shifts back to normal
This is pretty consistent and annoying has anyone else faced this issue where the Nova notification pull down moves your widgets and you hidden notification bar won't hide? If anyone has a solution please let me know. I hope I'm not the only one with this issue.
