Gmail, twitter, facebook, messenger, snapchat, etc no notifications work since I upgraded to MDL from MDC via update package then rooted. They only work like 10% of the time. What gives? Anyone else experience this?
I'm fully stock and rooted via CF Auto Root w/ TWRP 2.5.0.2
I have not experienced these issues.

Make sure they are set to sync in accounts. If that doesn't work, I'd just reflash.

Ok I found the fix. Which I figured it was, just didn't want to do it because I have 108 apps. But format data, all push worked again yay.

I got the i9505 and I dont get also push notifications. I am on stock MEA ... what should I do?
I am a newbie on androif coming from iphone.

My data got corrupted with the update and push worked very iffy if at all. So format data and restore your apps afterwards. Mine works like a charm now (=

Mine works now dont know what happened!! I restarted the device and now everything works like a clock thanks snd i hope it stays as it is

I have tried 3 custom ROMS and Swiftkey is not working on any of them...
it just gave me error while trying to download language data

Coming to your question... I am using SwiftKey tablet edition and it works just fine. I am currently on CM9. No issues here.

I tried CM9, CleanRom, Infected ROM.... none of them worked
the only one is stock ROM...

I'm using tablet version... installed directly from Play Store
When I'm trying to download the language data it fails with an error "check your connection" but everything else is working perfectly (browser, store, facebook)

Nevermind.... I did a full wipe and reinstall CM9 and everything is working perfect now!
Is there any MF9 stock roms for Odin on the pc yet my stock recovery gives me an error when I try to clear the cache partition. Maybe something went wrong when I updated from MDL to MF9 thru stock recovery. Did anybody else encounter the same problem yet im on stock unrooted MF9. Any help is appreciated please. Tx in advance.

I hope somebody can at least tell me what the deal is with the stock recovery giving me an error when I try to cleat the cache. I would like to know if anybody else had that happen to them.

Yes I need the full rom tar or odin one click whicever is available first. Both work the same pretty much. Can anybody explain whats going on with the stock recovery erroring out on a clear cache partition.

Actually, unless I'm missing something, I'm surprised that I haven't seen an Odin one click yet, if it's possible, with this phone.

I can't answer the why, but I can give you an alternative.
Delete the contents of /data/dalvik-cache
Delete the contents of /cache
Reboot.

So with root explorer I just go into those two folders, and delete all contents of them rite.
Edit: I just tried and there is nothing in those folders. Must be bcuz im not rooted so I cant access the data in those folders. Anybody else with any suggetions please. And thanks for ur altenative method ill keep it in mind for future problems. :thumbup:

I've noticed since then that my S Health app crashes (it's not the multi Window app that is causing it, I had that problem before so I had uninstalled the multi window apk). boot into your custom recovery, wipe cache & dalvik. flash rom/kernel/gapps/loki-doki (whatever it is specifically you need to flash). wipe both caches again and reboot.
that should overwrite the mod without resetting any of your shtuff. cheers.

Until yesterday i had no idea on how to install ROM's coming from an iPhone i am a total noob to flashing, safestrap and everything else in between.
I Iooked a a few videos on youtube... not related to Note 3, but s4 etc.. and it gave me the idea. Read on the Hyberdrive and Jelly Beans forum. Its not hard.

I just flashed the hyper drive rom.....and WOW. As soon as I get some money I will contribute!!!! Anyway after I flashed the rom I noticed after my screen booted up at the top in the status bar next to the 4G there's something that looks like a "eye" can anyone tell me what that is and will it remain there if so can I get rid of it? Thanks to all the bad as devs out there I'm so thankful for all that you people do!!! For all that it's worth I really really want to say THANK YOU!
It's called smart stay. It checks via the phone camera to see if you ate looking at the screen, and if you are it keeps the phone from going to sleep

Before I flash a rom like hyper drive first I create a rom slot next do I wipe data dalvik, then cache on the new rom slot?
Then flash the rom in the created rom slot. Just wanna make sure. Also when I'm charging my phone on hyper drive rom when I turn off my phone and turn it back on it goes back to stock rom and the S'S splash screen doesn't appear upon turning on, doesn't do that when I'm not charging the phone.
Also I used to have 32GB, of phone storage now I only have 1.89GB, just wondering how to fix the storage

There's no way to "fix" the storage. From what I have been told, the system reads it wrong and you only have that much storage for installing apps ( in your case, 1.89GB ). You still have access to the rest of your storage. You can still store pictures, songs, movies, data. Using ES File Explorer, you can see how much space you have left. I was able to successfully download over 3GB of movies on my internal storage despite it saying I had less than 2GB of space left.

What version of Xposed installer do I need, I have Version 2.3.1 installed. I keep getting this message "The app is not activated in the Xposed framework", or you have not rebooted your device. I have rebooted. I'm not sure if I have it activated, but it's showing up in the installer.

Go to Hyperdrive Tweaks, Xposed, Framework Installer, Framework. Check to see if you can Install/Update. You should be in the green with matching numbers for active/bundled.
I suggest removing/editing your post about Blackmart Alpha. Using those kinds of apps are not allowed here and is frowned upon. Plus it's illegal.

I have a question hope you can help me out. In safe strap in rom slot 1 is my stock rom slot 2 is hyper drive and slot 3 is beans rom. Shouldnt my stock rom be on the right in the stock slot and hyper should be in slot 1 and beans in slot 2? If so i need help on placing the roms in the right place. I have used TWRP for along time on my note 2 but SS is new for me. Sorry if im asking dumb questions. And thank you in advance for any help you provide.

Looks like you didn't install anything on your Stock slot. When you reboot your phone make sure you active the partition that you want that particular ROM in. So for stock, activate stock and install stock backup (you did make a backup right?) and then you can then activate Slot 1 for HD and then Slot 2 for Beans. I would wipe/factory reset the ROM Slots before installing anything on top so you have a clean install.

Also this would be best answered in that thread. And if it's what I think it is it already has and Sac released a preliminary patch to address this precise thing.

I've been running v5 as well with no Google account issues for a full day now. I did see a couple users report having their account disappear while on v5 but I bet it has to do with not a clean wipe before flashing.
The issue has now resurfaced on 5.0 and became apparent when my device notified me of the need to add Backup account.
Is there a proposed cause or remedy?

I am having the same problem problem and it's rather frustrating! I have flashed multiple times, clean wipe, using both TWRP and CWM still no success..
Do one thing guys ,... Download gapps package compatible to your ROM ... and then Flash it via recovery ... and before that make sure you have backed up your phone via Recovery and also ... wipe cache and dalvik cache ....
