Market 2.7 download problems.

Hi Guys,
I have just updated my Galaxy s I9000 with newest GINGERBREAD xxjvt samsung stock rom. After rooting it and putting VOODOO lagfix on, my market app doesn't download. I have wiped the user data as well as clean the partion cache. But still can not download the apps from market, why it's coming back with unsuccessful download message.
Please help.

What error message is it giving you?

Just says download unsuccessful, that's all then download stops.

Wait a minute , first there's no market 2.7 as far as i know the last market befor 3.x.x was 2.3.6 , but if you want a beautiful and fast market install the leak 3.3.11 market from here

Thanks Mawdo problem sorted I had to re flash everything. Tried all nothing worked. It must got corrupted when I tried to flash with Semaphore Kernel.

Changing build.prop to download app

Hi,
I'm trying to download a game, but I installed ICS (latest kang) and obviously it's thinking I'm running 4.0.1 and the game won't run on this. Is there a way to edit build.prop or any other file so I can buy the game before the rebate ends.

EDIT: All I'm trying to know is if it's possible to change a file to make the Market app think I'm running something like 2.3.4 so I can buy the app??

yea, ive read that lots have that issue, while even more dont have that issue. it seems very hit and miss.

Yup exactly and I know it's not my phone since my GF has the same, but hers is running stock android.

did you change LCD density
Only time I have issues with incompatible apps is when I mess with density and set to 210
Default is 240

Do a backup in CWM and install a GB rom, buy the app and restore your ICS rom in CWM. The long but sure way to get there..

but make sure u backup the app with titanium before you restore ics. Because still you won't be able to download from market.

Have you tried to browse to market.android.com on your PC and buy it there? Yesterday I couldn't buy an app on my phone, for me it worked that way.

you're lucky....at least your phone has a reason to think it's not compatible....I'm running stock 2.3.4 and I get that error message for at least 75% of the apps in the market....including gmail, etc. It's obnoxious!!!
Seriously, this isn't even a dump from online or anything...this is my original ROM backup restored via CWM that is doing it.

It thinks you're running 4.0.1? If you are running ICS euroskank kang you ARE running 4.0.1....

But really, don't use ICS as daily driver, it's way too buggy and slow. Very soon we will have the ICS OTA and then things will be different.. I hope..

Mobileodin Pro : Won't work with Jellybean..

So far I've tried Paranoid ROM and Faryabbs ROM running JB and whenever I run Mobile Odin I get this error message. I've tried reinstalling it and wiping data under manage apps but its still a no go

+1 went back from JB AOSP to LFB using mobile odin pro succesfully

I'm getting the exact same error, installed Mobile Odin Pro purchased ages ago from Play, and it just pops the message up then closes down after clicking OK.
I have even tried installing the MobileODIN_FlashKernel_I9300-v3.0.apk manually in case that was the problem.
I am on WanamLite stock odexed XXDLH4

on stock jb doesn't work.

Works without any problems on CM10. In fact I flashed a new recovery using it this morning.
No surprise it doesn't work on Samsung ROM though. Buggy piece of crap. They should just resign and appoint Codeworkx as head of ROM development... LOL...

EDIT: Just found a very strange workaround, install Mobile Odin Light as well as the pro version, open the light version and it loads Pro.
Try Pro and it now appears to be working!

Pro worked for me without any work around on jb leak too

Google play vanished from nowhere

It just disappeared like idk how, can't find it nowhere..
Any solutions?

No, I wasn't doing anything on the phone..!

Tried download a apk but didn't work, it can't install..
Also I'm not rooted but got bootloader unlocked.

Try installing from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2160817
Then reboot and see how you go?

Try reflashing gapps, thats what I did when my Google play store got messed up.
Make sure to do a nandroid in case something messes up

Adaway not working ...

I cant get adaway 2.7 to work. Adfree works like a charm though

Are you rooted, I thought it was a requirement to get it to work.

Don't scare me like this! I don't know what I'd do without my ad block. In any case, Ad Block plus should work as well.....

yeah. Im rooted. everything else works fine. just not adaway... but like i said, adafree is working so I wont be needing adaway
even got the modded google play working fine. .hehe

I have also rooted. I installed adaway.
But I have to run it every time I reboot " Download Files and apply ad blocking" or else it wont work. After every reboot when I go into the app its disabled.
Is it supposed to be like this.?

It probably doesnt support Note3 yet. But just use Adaway. Its just as good.

I think its a 4.3 thing. Couldnt get it to work right on most 4.3 roms.

Where did you download v2.8 from? I tried downloading fron xda thread but got parsing error during installation.

Mine work perfectly, already dunno how many times restart during I play around with xpose framework. Still working fine.
