RE: Extremely slow data on Android?
Hi guys,
I am currently on Android: dan1j3l-LeoFroyo-Sense-PR1 and Windows: ChuckyROM-23128-Lite.Jul.30
Having set up the phone fine with data working, I was just wondering what is causing the data connection to be painfully slow. For example, engadget.com takes forever to load through my 3G connection even if it shows the H sign i.e. high speed 3G.
Data works blazingly fast on WM so it has nothing to do with my network.
Any suggestions on how to improve the data speed and what is causing this slowness?
Thanks!
Using the speedtest.net app from the android market I don't get any more than 350kb/s download and 10kb/s upload. Tested in many areas where I have the H symbol. I believe this is a known issue, just a matter of time before our esteemed developers fix this.
There is a data issue the dehelpers are aware of, I ma getting 3k down but only 2 up
Sent from my HTC HD2 using Tapatalk
Thanks guys I thought there was something wrong with my android files. Will wait for the great devs to fix this!
Any idea when this data problem will be fixed?

HI, this is my problem.
i HAVE SUPER SLOW data transfers, in my house with 10mb conection, ever, the apps, or downloads never get more than 100kb ( the max ) and 50kb of average.
i fall slep, when i need to whait to download 3 or 4 ****ing mb...
Anyone, know why?
ITs the radio rom, or the version of android?
I have MUIUI-ROM and the lastest radio
I have this same issue, I don't know what to do. I really would like to have regular speeds and not have to wait to download a normal sized app.
Bump +1
I notice slow speeds especially when downloading from the market and it is the same whether I'm connected over wifi or cellular. Downloading from the market I get about 8kb/s downloads!
The odd thing is when I run a test with the Speedtest.net app I get this
WIFI
11.03 Mb/s down
1.10 Mb/s up
T-Mobile USA
3.45 Mb/s down
1.29 Mb/s up
I thought maybe this was a market issue, but I get very good market download speeds like 500 kb/s on my G1 and my wifes Eris, whether on Wifi or Cellular....
Would love to get to the bottom of this. My HD2 is pretty much flawless minus the slow data transfers....
finally, it's a market (app) problem?
I dont know, why need to wait 10 or 20 minutes to download 5 or 7mb...
on HDSPA, Wifi or whatever...
Bump
Having the same problem can anyone help?
The only build with which I've not experienced slow WiFi and data speeds is [Build][20.11.2010][NexusHD2-FRG83D V1.7 PPP+RMNET] (hastarin r8.2 with G-Sensor Fix) - you should try and see if that works for you.
I am currently getting a loss of data on my phone after hitting what seems to be a cap limited by Verizon. I listen to Pandora radio (HD not lo quality) in my car every day on the way to work. I noticed one day when I made a stop (therefor extending my trip by 2 minutes) before I got to work pandora, and all data would stop downloading. I could not surf the web download a file, or anything. The only fix I have found for this at all was to disable my networking (2g/3g) and re-enable. This does not happen on wifi at all. Does anyone else seem to see this issue?
Android Inc (AMOLED)
Cyanogenmod 7 RC1 (seems to happen on any ROM though)
HBOOT-0.92.000
RADIO-2.15.00.11.19 (older radios also did the same)
269.64MB total data used last month (tracked with 3G watchdog)
With and without the data uncap mod (did not change)
How many GB of data are you using each month?

I take no credit, but here.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=891047&highlight=data+cap
Unfortunately, I have done it with and without that mod. I use less than 500MB a month on data. That shouldn't affect me, though I tried with that mod and no difference. I have the "Unlimited" plan of 5GB though I know that removes the speed limits and total limit.
i have mine mbs runing out faster dunno why,
Well, after update my note 4 to lollipop, I noticed that it is taking took much time to load pages on websites and even to load the content on Google play. But the strange part is that only occurs on my Wi-Fi, that have 60 mbps (usually it reaches 7 Megabytes per second download). When I use the 4 G connection or go to my mom's house (that have a much slower connection, 10 mbps or 1 Megabyte per second downloading), it's normal. It has some configuration that I can do to change that situation? I am gonna attach the info of my smartphone and pictures of my router... Thanks (ps : sorry about my English)

Yeah, I already did that... I even flashed the rom again.... And like I said, the problem seems to be only in my Internet connection... I just want to know what problems it is and how to resolve it... Another thing.. With the OOKLA speed test I can't measure the speed anymore... Wtf is going on?
Never mind, it suddenly get better... I think it was a Internet problem...
