Hello people. I have to ask one question about my LG L5 E610.
My L5 E610 has stock 4.1.2 baseband 20G, most updated to date, I updated via KDZ updater.
I already rooted and installed custom ROM on three differents phones, ZTE and Samsung, never had any problems, so I can say that I have some experiences, but in case of samsung, for use warranty, is needed to install everything stock and reset flash counter, so I wonder if my E610 will be needed the same procedures ?
I'm thinking of installing CM10.2 on my LG L5 E610, I believe one day I will do this, but then I need to know how to install back EVERYTHING STOCK IN CASE OF WARRANTY, but never found tutorial about it, never heard if LG has flash counter, but I bet doesn't have.
anyone can tell me if it's possible or explain me how to install stock ROM, stock Recovery and stock Kernel after customizate everything on E610 ?
Never heard about flash counter.
For returning all to stock (as far as i know) you must have 2 kdz
1: v10d_downgrade , made by someone in 4pda, search it over internet. Its special because it wipes out everything, others kdz just flash up system and that's it, if you already have a bootloop or have a custom rom that may be not compatible with stock, normal kdz wont boot at all.
2: your OFFICIAL stock kdz for your VERSION (e610/e612/e612g/f, etc) get it from here
In case you want to return to stock, boot in download mode (hold vol - / + while connecting usb cable until vibrate) and flash it up. Flash v10d... let it boot (it'll be in russian lol) and then flash your normal kdz (by booting in download mode again)
Then, you can try anything you want (pls, don't mess with swap partition, 2 phones are almost hard-bricked while playing with that and it couldn't flash kdz either!)
Good Luck!
just use the kdz updater

it's thing from Samsung, if users flash the custom rom, the phone will show how much custom ROM was flashed, it can be consulted in warranty that the phone has already flashed and the warranty will be voided. but there does exist methods to do reset flash counter, but I guess only Samsung phones do have it.
but what happens if I have everything custom and then flash the normal KDZ like 20g baseband ? Will be bricked ? and can be unbricked ?
the flash counter can be removed by triangle

my phone has root, free bootloader and with custom ROM and CWM.
KDZ updater won't work on Windows 8.1, installed msxml and put compatibility/administrator and no luck.
is there another way to flash downgrade v10 ?

anyway, yesterday I downloaded KDZ and it worked and flashed rom my phone.
maybe I got very recent KDZ or I have update 1 of Windows 8.1
I'm not able to flash any more custom packages (rom, mod, kernel...) on my phone even with custom recovery. now every time I flash a zip file, my phone gets stuck at boot screen. I 'm not a newbie, I have been flashing phone on different brands and G2 for 3 months!
It happened after I flashed a wrong kernel version on my D802 (D800 instead). so I used LG support tool to get back to life, and the phone is fully functionnal. I can still root nd and install custom recovery, and even after flashing, I have no error message.
Any ideas?
Hey.
If I install TWRP recovery and then a custom rom.
If I go back to stock with LG Flash tool, will it remove TWRP also?
Since that'd be great for warranty purposes.
And another tiny question, I'm currently rooted, if I do a factory reset with button combination, it won't cause any problems?
Since I read that if you update to lolipop OTA while rooted your phone gets bricked.
Bump.
I installed a bkd ROM that is like grola ROM based on f320. Someone said things about flashing partition back to normal. How is this done?
Anyone?
You flashed a f320 rom on an ls980? Am I understanding you correctly?
Well no, it's based on f320, but it had a aroma menu it had an option for a LS980, but some people were saying things about a changed partition, I'm not sure if I can flash anything else, I haven't tried being afraid to brick completely.

^ That's the original thread
Help? Anyone?
Autorec, downgrade bootloader & install recovery, reboot recovery flash bumped kernel, dont reboot, flash baseband, dont reboot, flash rom.
But there are several threads explaining deeper what you need.

After two days I revert back to custom roms . Now I just wants to go back to stock so i flashed the earlier version of stock rom but i ****ed up my device now its not booting up on bootloader mode is showing. what to to now? i m from india.
Which custom rom u were on?
Which version did u downgrade to?
Did u take entire backup (efs and persist) before flashing custom rom?
For temporary solution : Try selecting "start" in bootloader?

Is your bootloader is working or it get stucks on bootloader image.
You downgraded your bootloader. (I suppose)
"Now I just wants to go back to stock so i flashed the earlier version of stock rom"
Well... That's bad.
"my device now its not booting up on bootloader mode is showing."
What is it showing? Is it showing the bootloader? What version?
(Do you know how to check that? Please use a translator if English is not your main language or something.)
"After two days I revert back to custom roms."
Better act more decisively next time. That cost your device a potential brick.
Thanks guys i recovered my device by just pressing restart.
