Hey,
i really need your help on this one.
i've bought a new SanDisk microSD 64gb,
but the problem is that the card is not working well with my SGS4 i9500,
according to other users of SGS4 and this specific sd card, this is a common problem with this card in this phone.
so i decided to sell it and buy another one who will work better with the phone.
I heard that the Samsung Plus 32GB Class10 UHS-1
works fine with this phone, but i want to buy the Samsung 64gb pro.
can anyone confirm that the 64GB is working well too like his small brother 32GB?
or, is there any recommendation for another microSD card with this amount of storage?
thanks a lot for anyone who will help me with this..
Have a look in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2302717
Many people stating which of their 64gb microsd cards work, so I suppose you could get a recommendation from there.
P. S. Noticed one guy even states that he uses the Samsung 64gb UHS-1 card that you are considering to buy, with no problems.

Samsung 32gb class 10 here. It's the fastest sd card on the Earth and the 32 GB are just enough for me. Since I can't install apps on it, I never had more than 7 GB used.

I bought that one and a USB 3.0 microsdxc card reader that supports UHS-1 speeds. While, the s4 will supposedly work with their own card, you won't get the higher read/write speeds on the s4, but you will on your pc.
Sort of a pain to take the card out and stick it in the usb 3 card reader, but for 64gb and you're trying to transfer large video files - may be easier, I suppose
I am wanting to buy a 64gb memory card and have looked at san disk however I have had one which corrupted on my note 2 so am concerned.
Has anyone used the 646gb sandisk class 10 with the new s4 ??

Same here, I had 2 Sandisk SD cards 32GB and both of them got corrupted on MY S3, I don't know is was a bad production or not but the truth is that is very disappointing.
Some people say that rooting phones corrupts the SD card forever, Dunno is its true, Any way I think i will give it a shot on sandisk again for my new S4.
Peace :good:

Using a 64GB Sandisk card in mine. Just format it to Fat32 first to avoid problems others are reporting.

Hello
I need a new micro SDXC 64 GB Card because my Kingston micro SDXC 64 GB is DEAD.
Or advise me.
Sorry for my bad English and Thanks.
Some advises ?
I only buy Samsung flash memory, it`s the best other makes are less durable, and are more likely to fail, i would rather pay a little more for quality and reliability.
John.
Hello,
I have the same card but I use the 32 GB version. I benchmarked the Micro SD card and got stunning results.
I also never had problems with this card so you can buy it off from Amazon. I can only recommend using Samsung cards!
Go for it. I'm using 16gb samsung card and no problems so far.
Somebody have some experience with 64GB Version ?
it's more better than Kingston, SanDisk ( Global Leader in Flash Memory Storage Solutions ) or similar micro SDXC Cards.
Read the reviews on Amazon for the Samsung microsd 64gb , at least one S4 owner with no problems.
John.
64Gb card
I am using the Samsung 64Gb card (exFAT formatted).
No issue at all, very satisfied with the card.
One thing to decide: if you are going to use a custom ROM/Kernel/Recovery then make sure upfront if the kernel and recovery are supporting the exFAT filesystem. If not, you can reformat the card in FAT32 with a dedicated app (not from Windows).
I am using a custom ROM (BobCatRom V3.0) but with the stock kernel and Philz recovery.
Works like a charm with the 64GB exFAT card from Samsung
MicroSD Compatibility
Buy what you fancy but IMHO don't buy card with 300x/655x speed UHS-1 which can deliver upto 70mbps.
I had a chat with a samsung online rep. And according to her she said the best compatible card for the S4 is a Class 10 upto 64GB.
Anything above it is only placebo for the user

I have this card on my i9505. Works great, no problems. I could recommend it. Go for it.
Previously I had Sandisk 64GB C10 UHS-1 on S3. No problems as well, but it was slower than Samsung.
One advice: buy from reputable source (whichever manufacturer you choose), because there is a chance that you could save few bucks but end up with fake card (dead slow for random ops, or even fake capacity).

I just purchased the Samsung 64gb class 10 sdxc pro micro sd card but I'm having transfer issues. Files are disappearingnd becoming corupted. I tried formatting but I'm getting the same thing. Movies won't play, but everything works fine on my Samsung 32gb class 4 UH-1. Just can't get it to work on my 64gb.

Questions like these will just invoke peoples opinions and everybody has one. Nobody will be able to tell you what is "best". They all work good and the same. Samsung make cards just fine. So does PNY, Lexar, Kingston,Transcend, etc. Me personally, I stay with the major brands. You should be fine if you do so.Sounds like you just might have a bad card.Take it back and exchange it for something else.

I am a fan of Sandisk cards. Used a 64GB micro in this phone and then moved onto a PNY card which is what currently is in my Note now. There is another thread somewhere in here, maybe Accessories, that has a great deal on MicroSD cards from Best Buy and Amazon. I would start to look this week at getting a card cause you probably can get one for a steal being that this is Black Thursday/Friday.

Basically, I'm trying to decide between a Samsung 64gb Pro sdxc class 10 or a Sandisk Extreme sdxc class 10, which is like $25 more. Am I wasting my money going the more expensive route? Will my phone even show the difference?
I was having problems with my 16 and 32G samsung cards in my note 2, when i got my note 3 i went with a 64G sandisk (had an amazon gift card to use up) and have nothing but good things to say. I tried my 32G samsung in the note 3 as well and it was hit or miss kinda like your describing
It's hit or miss. My 32 gb sandisk class 10 just stopped working last night, lost everything on the card. Im probably going with a samsung card next. There are many reports of samsung devices ruining memory cards, especially sandisk brand.

I went ahead and bought the SanDisk extreme. Just had it for a couple hours and my phone seems to be running hot. I'll keep you guys updated.
I have a Sandisk 64gb card. It did crap out on me but they replaced it and so far so good. I've never had a problem with Micro Center cards but as of right now the biggest they have is 32gb. That's my backup in case my 64gb Sandisk craps out again.

Can you do a speed test on the pny card please. There's an app on the play store called a1 sd test I think that is pretty good. I saw that card on sale for $27 so I think I'm getting it

Been running my Sandisk Extreme 64gb for a couple of days and it has not beengiving me any giving me any problems. Everything is running smooth. It doesn't seem lightning fast but it's pretty fast. Nothing impressive on my benchmark but I got it for free. If I had to pay money, I think I would go Samsung pro.
I got 22read, and 13.9 write on my PNY that I bought for $27.

I saw a thread here about a 256GB card that ended up being a scam.
Several people in that thread posited that a 256GB and a 128GB card might work in a Note 3.
Anyone ever tried an SD card larger than 64GB in the Note 3?
I personally haven't tried any card more than 64 GB but this topic says they are compatible! If they are not don't blame me.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2472486
Yes. Without issue.
I've been using a 128GB Sandisk one for a few months now.
The only reason it says 64GB on the specifications is because the 128GB wasn't available at the time the Note 3 was released. It has nothing to do with incompatibility.
In fact, even my old S3 runs a 128GB Sandisk without issue.
