I just purchased the Samsung 64gb class 10 sdxc pro micro sd card but I'm having transfer issues. Files are disappearingnd becoming corupted. I tried formatting but I'm getting the same thing. Movies won't play, but everything works fine on my Samsung 32gb class 4 UH-1. Just can't get it to work on my 64gb.

Questions like these will just invoke peoples opinions and everybody has one. Nobody will be able to tell you what is "best". They all work good and the same. Samsung make cards just fine. So does PNY, Lexar, Kingston,Transcend, etc. Me personally, I stay with the major brands. You should be fine if you do so.Sounds like you just might have a bad card.Take it back and exchange it for something else.

I am a fan of Sandisk cards. Used a 64GB micro in this phone and then moved onto a PNY card which is what currently is in my Note now. There is another thread somewhere in here, maybe Accessories, that has a great deal on MicroSD cards from Best Buy and Amazon. I would start to look this week at getting a card cause you probably can get one for a steal being that this is Black Thursday/Friday.

Basically, I'm trying to decide between a Samsung 64gb Pro sdxc class 10 or a Sandisk Extreme sdxc class 10, which is like $25 more. Am I wasting my money going the more expensive route? Will my phone even show the difference?
I was having problems with my 16 and 32G samsung cards in my note 2, when i got my note 3 i went with a 64G sandisk (had an amazon gift card to use up) and have nothing but good things to say. I tried my 32G samsung in the note 3 as well and it was hit or miss kinda like your describing
It's hit or miss. My 32 gb sandisk class 10 just stopped working last night, lost everything on the card. Im probably going with a samsung card next. There are many reports of samsung devices ruining memory cards, especially sandisk brand.

I went ahead and bought the SanDisk extreme. Just had it for a couple hours and my phone seems to be running hot. I'll keep you guys updated.
I have a Sandisk 64gb card. It did crap out on me but they replaced it and so far so good. I've never had a problem with Micro Center cards but as of right now the biggest they have is 32gb. That's my backup in case my 64gb Sandisk craps out again.

Been running my Sandisk Extreme 64gb for a couple of days and it has not beengiving me any giving me any problems. Everything is running smooth. It doesn't seem lightning fast but it's pretty fast. Nothing impressive on my benchmark but I got it for free. If I had to pay money, I think I would go Samsung pro.

Im using a 32gb sandisk class 4 I bought from ebay for 45. Ive got it filled with 29gb of mixed media.
Im pretty sure you know this but even though you bought it from amazon.com doesnt mean it came from amazon. Most of there items come from outsider merchants that are just like ebay sellers. Ive bought bogus items or the same cheap china knockoff items just like ebay. At one point amazon was selling those fake psn cards.
Plus Ive never personally heard of the card your using. I know big companies like sandisk sell there bad cards to others and they rebrand and sell at a cheap price.
had to edit, Im guessing you meant kingston which is a great brand of sd cards. But still could be going faulty. Maybe try a reformat of your sd and see if that solves any problems.
Using a Lexar 32GB class 10 and it just rocks. Really fast card. Google it, think there even was some tests put up here in the xda forums.

Hi, I just for the 16gb sandisk card that was on sale at newegg and my G2 is having problems dectecting it.
I know android has problems with class10 cards so I bought the class 4 one.
when i plug in the card and start up the phone sometimes it say the SD card is blank.
also while im using the phone the sd card will say it unmounted or the android files in the card will turn into weird icons.
does anyone have this problem too?
I formatted it to Fat 32 many times.
i bought the same card on newegg. Although i haven't had the chance to use it yet, i was just gonna format it and copy the whole of my previous SD to it. Does your card work on any other device? if not might need to RMA
No i haven't had time to try it on my other phones yet.
I had to Clone the old card to the new card and so far no problems.
so problem solved?
I think so.
I couldn't just drag the files over.

They may or may not work okay. But Class 10 cards seem to cause more problems than lower class cards, based on user posts here. Plus, the extra expense doesn't seem justified, as you will not see much if any performance gain.
Since I'm in school, I got a lot of problems with sandisk product. (stop working without a sing, corrupt, takes days to boot).
For my usb flash drives I use patriot now. Never got problems, especially with the little 8gb usb key. Excellent reviews on newegg.
I bought class 10 16 gb micro usb patriot. Run some bench marks, average 11 mb/s writing. Since 5 months, lot of testing roms and watching videos, no problem yet.
Be careful with bad reviews because some people runs day long benchmarks. It kills flash memory.

Does Sandisk work better if you're not in school
Odd. Was it a genuine Sandisk product, purchased from a reliable source (like Newegg). Because there are a heck of a lot of Sandisk counterfeits on places like eBay. Sandisk and Kingston are probably the most counterfeited brands of flash memory. On the other hand, its just possible you had a defective unit. Its impossible for even the most reliable electronics manufacturer to be 100% free of defective units.
I've used 3 different Sandisk Micro-SD cards in my smartphones and tablet, one of them is almost 4 years old. Only had a problem once, and a format fixed it right up. Also used Sandisk SD and CF cards in my cameras for years, without issue.
Today my Transcend 16gb class 10 arrived and I installed in my DZ.
Not any problems until now ...

I have a Samsung microsdhc plus 16gb. No problems so far.
I've been using a SanDisk 32Gb ultra class 10 for about 6 months, originally with my galaxy s3. In March, my S3 kept trying to repair the card, wouldn't read the information. Even when it finished repairing it will unmount. After restarting the phone, same thing.. Repair and unmount. Brought it to my laptop and it could barely read the information on the drive.
All My info was there but it took forever to load anything. I format the card on my Pc and it's been working ever since. Everything is backed up, so it wasn't that big of deal. Though I did lose some pictures from that day due to my sync schedule.
Using the same card now in my s4. No problems yet.
Edit* I have antivirus on my phone and computer.. Scan showed up clean on both. So I have to assume either just a bad/corrupt file or the sdcard itself had an issue. But I did find others having issues regarding the same card I have, but I read mostly 'fried' or dead cards. Mine didn't die.

I was thinking of getting this 64GB Class 10 card:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/SanDisk-64GB-microSD-Class-10-Ultra-Card/23350707
But didn't know what/if any the current people already with Note 3s are using. Some people say to stick with the Samsung 64GB version as there are issues with some phones only being able to read exFat.
I just wanted to make sure that the card I buy actually works with the Note 3 when it arrives and not have to deal with returns and buying multiple makes/manufacturers of cards until I find a working one that lets me use all 64GB.
Thanks!

Maaan, you're getting the world's most fastest advanced phone that has not 1, 2, 3 but 4 world firsts on it (4K recording, 3GB ram, MicroUSB 3.0, 24bit audio), the bleeding edge of technology, and you put a ultra 64gb class 10 card in there? forget about it...step up to the big boys, you have to get this one...
(won't let me link, i removed it, but google "world's fastest microsd" and it's a sandisk card)
Its the Sandisk Extreme 64GB MicroSD card...it's the world's fastest sd card, it's stats are 80MB read, 50MB write, but actual tests have shown 96MB read,.and 61MB write, which destroys any other class 10 sd card...class 10 is 10MBps, this card is hitting 5 to 9 times that depending on read/write
Look at this review
(I cant believe they wont let me link, its by legit reviews, just google it)
It's perfect for 4K recording, USB 3.0 transfers, etc..
With those read speads you won't see the lag the ultra 64gb card have when you open gallery, and i know because i had one in my note 2 and it took a bit for it to load all my pics, bet it doesn't with this behemoth...Im selling my ultra and pony up the difference for the $99 extreme
The fastest microsd card in the world for the fastest phone in the world...perfect match...

I had been a Sandisk loyal user until my S4 which caused hiccups, lags, mysterious file disappearance, random reboots, unable to transfer large files and many more.....
I then switched to Transcend MicroSD on my S4 and all the above problems disappeared. I've been using an old 8GB Sandisk on my Note 3 and so far haven't experienced any problems yet. I am awaiting for the 128GB Microdisk SDHC coming out soon and really make use of that 1080p screen.

You were just misinformed companies want you to think there's a limit but when your on a site like xda there's no fooling us lol, even though at that time 64 gb microsd was the biggest external microsd option there were ways to get around the limit via regular sdcards. I have a 256gb sdcard I use on my note 3 from a tf cable that uses the microsd card slot on the note 3 so I can insert my sdcard and store massive amounts of data on it. I'm planning on buying the 128gb microsd also tho just to support sandisk and Thank them for finally making this happen, we're sure to see 128gb internal phones in the near future now.

C'mon, this is very simple, until couple days ago the largest micro sd card was 64GB and that's how far they could test it and that's what they wrote in the specs. If the 128GB card follows the specs, it has to work, but I do remember in the past some cards didn't work with all devices and I have no idea why, something about particular controller being not compatible, so it would be foolish for Samsung to post specifications which can't be tested. I had same thing with my old camera, specs listed 32 GB max, largest size at the time of release but it worked with 64GB fine when those came out. So when do we get 256GB, 128GB seems so yesterday.

Almost certainly it will work. However the manufacturer suggested price (200$) is just "marketing" similar to what is routinely done on overpriced jewelry, the initial launch price seems to be closer to 120$ and I would be quite surprised if the price will not get towards 70-80 US$ once the competition really heats-up.
Amazon has it for $119 but it is out of stock.
No idea when they will actually have it.
It's been over 1 year so it's probably time to confirm that the SanDisk 128GB Ultra Micro SDXC Class 10 UHS-1 card works flawlessly on a Samsung Note 3 SM-N900T (running either KItKat or Lollipop). For best performance it doesn't hurt to adjust the read-ahead cache higher than the default 128K (I use 1024K).
Beware of the many "fakes" found online. As of this writing, anything under $50 is probably not a genuine 128GB card, but you can find legitimate ones for as little as $65 if you search around.
