Sir, I Need a Internal Image files(From PINK SCREEN) If you have rom used base B526, please upload it sir, i very need that all files,bcoz with old amss from b526 my X5 can be boot normally, can be shutdown normally. Now i'm using OLD (if it corrects, i see in the thread it's image files from B160, i think that's not compatible with B526 Image) before i do update from external sd card, it was a word "Unpacking blablabla" but after changing the amss and the other, it's looks like this http://www.7ayak.com/up/uploads/13425105111.jpg
so please help me sir, without all of you, my x5 can't be turned on like a normal x5, just reboot, reboot, and reboot every 1-3 minutes
Check my mega drive (signature), you should be able to find them.

When i install a stock partition, never successfull. hmm, after i click emmc unlock boot for my friend l7 , my phone turns like that sir . vie my thread before for details . i have go to huawei centre, but they ask me to pay Rp.2.000.000 for changing the engine inside (WTF! I Have buy it only Rp.1.600.000) :crying:

Just need to know something Blefish. In your mega drive, under Cust Partition, there are two files: hw-cust_data.zip and elisa-cust_data.zip. What are these files for?
I think they are both for custom partitioning the data, and none of them return you to stock partition. I think what the OP has done is accidentally flash one of them, and then flash the second one as well. Which has caused his partitions to be messed up.
But, please kindly confirm what these files are for?
Thanks.
Blefish, i've downloaded B526 Image files from your mega, but i think its not correct amss.mbn for B526, it size same as i downloaded before (23,5mb) before i replacing the amss, my amss original size upper than 23mb and my phone never get reboot automatically

Sir, i think my phone always get auto reboot its not causing by the partition. first time i got the problem in my other thread is my x5 working like normal but my x5 can;t detect a simcard, and now it can (i'm not fixing it, just maybe it has fixed by itself ) . but my stupid i do change the amss.mbn , before i got amss.mbn size is more than 23,5mb sir
So, the problem may causing my phone auto reboot is need to change the correct amss from the base B526
If someone can't upload the amss, i need to unpack update.app based on B526 and find the amss.mbn . but i don't know how to

Under cust/image, there is also cust_data folder. This is not really used in the 2.3 I believe, but it contains some carrier specific bits to Android. Not really necessary though.

The B528, B526 all use the B522 amss if I am not mistaken, so there is no difference.

Hey guys
The volume rocker on my HD2 is broken, and I have cLK flashed on my device. My problem is that I can only boot into cLK and fastboot mode as recovery is useless to me because I cant navigate through the options using the volume rocker.
I am looking for a rom (android/winmo) that is a .img file so that I can flash through fastboot, or if any of you know any other possible way I can flash a rom through fastboot so I can get my phone working again. Right now I dont mind which rom I flash, as long as I get my phone in working order again.
All help is GREATLY appreciated....!!!
If anyone also knows how I can compile a rom into a .img file so I can flash through fastboot, that is also welcomed help!
Any ROM you download that is for cLK has a. img file in it. you will have to extract the file from the. zip hou download to find it. Read my post here it will give youthe details on how to flash your ROM.

Sorry for the late response but those two files do get used, the img file oules the information from them as it is flashing. To put it simply when you initiate the flash the img does the rest of the work. The img file is sort of like a cab file for Windows Mobile only it is not all self contained and has more functions than just to install the software. Note I said sort of not exactly like, that is just a comparison to help you understand. When you flash a Android ROM via CWM it essentialy just activates the img file to flash the ROM.
Daf roms come as a system.img
or
if you have access to another hd2, flash the target rom to it and then use mkyaffs2img command in the terminal to dump the system folder to a system.img file.
Benefit of this would be you can tweak the rom(reduce size for example, by removing unwanted apps) before you dump to system.img

Thanks for getting back to me buddy! Unfortunately I dont have a second HD2, and I dont know anyone willing to help me out in Greece, lol... Would you be willing to dump your system folder for me and upload it so I can use yours?? I would GREATLY appreciate the help... sitting with my HD2 "semi" bricked... lol
Also, if I use the .img file from the DAF roms, can I flash it using fastboot??? You have any suggestions on how I can flash it considering I cant use the volume rocker on my mobile?
Well id like to say yes but it's Easter weekend and my sons 1st birthday tomorrow, so the likelihood of getting near a PC are slim for a few days.
You could always learn how to use the android emulator,, build the image on a virtual hd2
As for flashing,,, no idea, no clue what fastboot does, magldr for me, but in your OP you implied you could use it to write img files to partitions.
You ever got a solution for this? I'm in the exact same situation right now.

Hey,
Did you extracted the installation file out of the downloaded zip file?
Inside the downloaded file there is a archive file again (forgot what format), this file you have to extract out and copy that file onto your archos
Good luck!

Yes , thats the thing I did , file named UrukDroid-install.tgz copied to the device like it written in the installation procedure ....no need to unzip that one also
Try to download this file:

It is directly and no need to extract any more.. maybe your archive manager does something wrong..

Lenn, this is different , another problem ...after flashing the kernel with the "let's say " new files , what is going fast then going into the developer menu ..archos needs to reboot in that menu and I should get UrukDroid 1.0 Installation framework and select simple installation ..but does not get to that boot ....the original archos kernel completely starts up .
Let me know tomorrow ....we need some sleep being busy with this whole day
I wanted to thank you for the given support for now ..hope someone will know the answer

after going into
Boot to SDE:

choose "Developer edition" is also working
You should see "UrukDroid 1.0 Installation framework" title. Please choose simple install method. is working well
When asked to, connect Archos to PC (5) once again and copy UrukDroid-install.tgz,
This step is working...transfert can be done
disconnect Archos from PC properly (umount, safely remove device etc.) and press power button (2)
at this point the device saying that there is an invalid file

Yes, the Bootloader (pink screen) default file system is FAT32.
In case you lost the bootloader contents, just create a folder called "image" and copy the following files to that:

AMSS.MBN - http://www.mediafire.com/?d6r45q6p5gew59v

If you don't have that folder, it's not a tragedy, because a fresh install of a stock Rom will create that folder for you.

Do not delete that folder! I wouldn't touch that just for fun...Leave it there, it won't affect your Roms in anyway.
The fact that you can restore Oxygen doesn't have anything with that folder. Your backups for Oxygen etc are on the SD card.
I personally think that some relevant info used by all Roms is actually located there, so I wouldn't delete that folder just for fun.

If you have Android 2.2 on your phone:
1. Download the archive;
2. Create in the root of SD-card folder "dload";
3. Write to the new folder, all files from step1/dload (UPDATE.APP and UPDATE_g.APP);
4. Insert a memory card into the phone (if not already inserted) and pull out the battery;
5. Turn on the phone, holding down the volume up and down;
6. Once the firmware is installed, delete the folder dload all the files and write files from step2/dload;
7. Repeat the procedure for the folder step3/dload.
If you have Android 2.3 on your phone:
1. Download the archive;
2. Delete a file UPDATE.APP from folder step1/dload;
3. Rename a file UPDATE_g.APP to UPDATE.APP;
4. Create in the root of SD-card folder "dload";
5. Write to the new folder the renamed file UPDATE.APP from a folder step1/dload;
6. Insert a memory card into the phone (if not already inserted) and pull out the battery;
7. Turn on the phone, holding down the volume up and down;
8. Once the firmware is installed, delete the folder dload all the files and write files from step2/dload;
9. Repeat the procedure for the folder step3/dload.
* If any of the processes will not start - log-in and run the installation manual settings-memory-upgrade software.
* If some of the processes of updating the device hanging - wait 10 minutes then remove the battery. After 10 seconds, reinsert.
On my phone firmware write good. First run language is english, and you must manually configure APN.

Unfortunately I no have information about any fixes.
Most likely, it`s the last firmware on 2.3, no more updates. OTA is not expected - install manually. About the ICS no any information yet.
First personal experience - a better camera and battery life. Still testing.

B552 = B540 + Pink Screen Mode, nothing more
Ok, thank you always, but I flashed the update and copied the boot.img file through the pink screen.
The ROM has FPS limit and the compass mode in Google Maps Street View doesn't work, maybe with a reboot the compass mode will work fine.
The external sdcard is not correctly mounted after a full shutdown, so the bug persists still now.
The multitouch bug after the lockscreen is also in life...
Then I have a question: what did Huawei do on this new B552 base?
The only thing I see like a "news" is Google Music, nothing more.
I have a conclusion:
B552 = B540 + pink screen

then i will copy the boot.img on my pc, i will extract the system.img from updata_g.app and i will cook the new version of my Countach
Hi Matteo,
yes, I did the same procedure, you can extract only system.img with dsixda kitchen, if you want boot.img you need to install with the dload folder procedure the original firmware and then put your U8800 Pro in pink screen mode.
If you trust in me, you can take my boot.img, it's the same of the original one but I only added root permission and init.d run-script.
Hoping to help, this is the file for you and other people:

Standard root:
1. Go to pink screen.
2. Replace original boot.img with patched, save original.
3. Reboot, wait when phone fully load .
4. Go to pink screen again and recover original boot.img, reboot.
5. When phone load wipe factory settings.
6. Done, your phone rooted.
For me it's work without problem.
Sent from my U8800Pro using xda premium
pure
on SD card make directory named "dload"
copy the UPDATE_g.APP into (approx 370 MB)
rename the UPDATE_g.APP to UPDATE.APP
update via SD card update (no pinkscreen), but if you want, use pinkscreen, it is the same
immediately after first reboot, pull out the battery, insert the batt. go to pinkscreen, delete the ****ty cust.img, reboot and continue with installation.
you will get pure gingerbread without any customizations (yes, there is the huawei launcher and beyond the sky theme, i like it)
for root, oc, use geno´s boot.img, for HDR edit the build.prop
if you like huawei´s boot animation, copy it to system/media folder (files bootanimation.zip and bootanimationex.zip)
step 2 and step 3 is not needed
Missed call problem exist? When someone want's to call he heards that you are unavailable/not on network or the phone is turned off.

I was supposed to provide the file but my net connection died halfway during download T.T

BUMP anyone ??
It takes only 10minutes provided you are running ICS 4.0.4 :l
I'm currently uploading CWM system of 4.0.4 for Arc to Google Drive, but I have slow upload so it will be around 45-60 minutes at least before I have a link for JJ.
This is compressed system and data folder.
Not CWM, not img
LT18i_4.1.B.0.431_1254-2184.7z

LT15i_4.1.B.0.431_1247-1046.7z

PS:
IF you add META-INF and proper update-script, can be used for CWM updating
This is CWM backup of the system image LT15i_4.1.B.0.431_Generic World FR :
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0By9xc2HbjMA6dS1vcUV1eHlQdnM
and this is the rest of the CWM backup in case anyone wants it:

Take no notice of the date on the files being 1980. I took the backup before the first startup so that there would be no changes to the files and the current time wasn't set at that stage.
Both parts are 7zipped.

Warning, LT15 CWM system.img backup does not contain all files. LT15 has also vendor files, about 90Mb.
If you format system partition, and restore from those backups. You will lose lots of apk. FC everywhere
Suggest you to use LT18 files, less bloatware (LT15 has annoying France applications)
Thank you guys for the links... It made sure that Arc update comes side by side with other devices...
I am on it and done with 90% of the ROM... Only one bug to fix and then its ready for release...
Needed these Arc files to ensure you guys get Original drivers optimized for ur devices and not some ported one...
even if I couldnt manage those bugs I will come out with a Fully functional test release in 24-48hrs....

Huh?? Since you only uploaded zips I assume you are referring to my CWM backup img. What files do you claim are missing?

Can someone else confirm this claim? Which apks are missing?
I just formatted system and restored from my CWM backup, a short while ago, when I saw this post. I don't see anything missing, and no FC.
If there really is something wrong with my backup that I can't detect, then I apologise. But, since I have been able to restore successfully without problems, I'm not convinced.

Excellent
Looking forward to the ROM
Should this be stickied so that other Devs can make use of arc libs directly ?
