Battery calculation problem

Hi I looked but couldent find another thread of this but my battery will go from about 40% down to 3% but then as soon as I plug it in it an it charges 1% and goes back up to the % it came down from, it did this on multiple roms along with stock from. Does anyone else have this problem and if so is there a way to fix? Thanks.

You could try to recalibrate your battery.
There's a nice program found in the market called battery calibration by nema.
You should have root acces to use this program.
Good luck

have you been fully charging and fully discharging your phone?
What app did you install? Did you install a new rom? what rom are you on? My guess would be a rouge app. Have a look in the battery usage graph or get spareparts and look at the things that are keeping the phone awake.

I would suggest you download CPU Spy to see if an application is preventing your phone from entering deep sleep mode, for example. You may have a lot of widgets refreshing way too often, as well.

The only widget that refreshs at my home screen is SetCPU, in order to monitor the Temperature, but i will try that app in order to check whats going on thanks.
Ok finally I've managed to see what was the problem that was causing such battery drain/loss... The problem is that i wasnt full charging/discharging, now the battery seems to be working fine. Also I've check cpuspy and nothing is interferindo with the deep sleep.. Thanks for the help

Never fully discharge Li-ion batteries.
But is not fully discharging, under %15 damages battery? And also i put from batter over %95 because after %100, it waits until it drops and again charges if i forget there.

High battery consumption by stock kernel

Hi guys,
Last night I had 15% drop at the battery, wifi was off, gps was on.
From gsam i saw that the kernel drained the most.
Does anyone have any ideas how to avoid this kind of battery draining?
Few days after I got the phone I had 0%(!) battery drain at night and it was along few night, for some reason i cant reach same level of battery drain at night now.
Thanks in advance.
You have some weird apps keeping your phone awake, nova launcher? Have never seen that one in my list. Install betterbatterystats to see the wake locks in detail.

I don't think that's a wakelock list buddy, it's just listing which processes used the battery the most.
Apex, run this for a few hours and post a screenshot.
Betterbatterystats is an app that shows into detail the wakelocks, alarms, frequencies etc. Don't know the app you gave, maybe it does the same.

ok so here are the findings:
I froze news&weather since i dont use it and put taptalk on 3 hours intervals of checking.
I'll read more into BBS analysis to retrieve further information
anyone?
It doesn't seem like there are any weird wakelocks. How many hours of screen on time do you get?

Turn off your GPS.
Why do you need it on when you're sleeping? do you sleep walk? Don't answer that. Lol
I recommend downloading this app called "greenify" and find that app and hibernate it.

I also installed greenify, but it just doesnt seem to work well... every now and then, when I check on greenify, I need to re-freeze the Maps App, even though I didnt start it in the mean time.
Speaking of which, why does Maps keep the phone awake that long (or wake it that often) and drain so much battery at all?
anyone got an answer to this?

Need to restart to go into Deepsleep.

Hey guys,
So the last few weeks I noticed that I have a pretty fast battery drain so I decide to do a little research whats causing it. When looking at the statics of CPU Spy I see that my phone won't go into deepsleep.
When I restart the phone it will go into deepsleep normally but then after some time it refuses to go into deepsleep again.
I checked BBS but couldn't find anything weird I have attached the screenshots.
I am completely stock, no custom kernel, no root.
What can cause this?
Thanks in advance!

(Fixed)Battery saver not sticking

I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer to my problem. When you go into battery under settings if you click on battery saver it says on. But if you press the refresh icon or exit and go back it will show its off. So I figure I make a post for anyone else who may be having the same issue. Obviously most folks on xda like to keep their phones free from bloat. In the process you might have disabled moto assist. Battery saver needs moto assist to function. So if you enable moto assist accept an update from the app store battery saver will work fine. It will also auto activate when reaching 15% battery life.
