Erratic location history - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone else getting bizzare results using Google location history? The first pic is yesterday's and everything is accurate. On Monday everything should be more or less the same. According to Google though I had a very interesting Day.

weird bug with weather widget

I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing a bug with the clock/weather widget where it randomly says your in a different location then changes back. I am in bloomington indiana and randomly it says i am in Koravogur which is no place near here. I have GPS off but location services on. any idea how to fix this?
Hmm, might try (when it's showing in your town/city) to disable the location all together.
Just a thought though
Mine has been switching between Guaynabo and Bayamon, but I do live right on the border of Guaynabo and Bayamon so I wasn't very surprised at that... Sometimes it'll switch while I'm walking around the house tho, and my house should be at 'least a mile or two from the Bayamon border (they're municipalities in Puerto Rico btw).
Sometimes it just says Puerto Rico instead of my city/municipality, for no apparent reason... Despite all that the weather report has actually seemed accurate most of the time. I've had GPS on all thru this, I just turned it off to see if it behaves differently at all... I do have WiFi on atm, as I usually do around the house.
Yeah mine does this. Like around 11pm at night it will say its sunny outside then I go to refresh the weather and it changes my location to a few cities away but shows the moon so I guess it kind of worked?

Google Talk and Latitude Problem

Hello guys,
I'm having a really weird problem with both google talk and latitude.
A frind of mine is always telling me that my google talk status is "offline" even though I started google talk and can see him beeing online. What's the problem here?
I'm also experiencing some strange behaviour with latitude. Latitude is running on my girlfriends phone AND I turned on GPS. But it doesn't show me the accurate position. It only shows me the position of her within 100m or so.
I really don't know where the problem is.
best regards,
L.

Data and GPS weirdness

For the last 2 days data is sometimes unavailable, resulting in the "data call failure". I have the "always on mobile data" disabled", though I doubt this makes a difference here, since it was working just fine like that up until Sunday.
I've also noticed the GPS become active, when it shouldn't be (the only times I ever see this icon is with Sprint Navigator, Google Maps and Poynt). It is possible that the GPS has always turned at random (to to gauge location) but never saw it until the other day. I have not installed anything new, other than a few app updates.
Back when I had a BlackBerry, I would notice the same types of network oddities once every few weeks and a few folks over at CrackBerry had verified that were seeing the type of weirdness. I'd like to think that this is just something funky with Sprint's data network.
Anyways, I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen some bizarre behavior with data and gps on their Evo over the last few days. I'm in Philadelphia, PA - this may be region-specific, not sure.
I think I found the source of the GPS usuage: the CNET Scan & Shop app. Spare Parts showed me that this uses the GPS quite a bit, funny thing is - I've never used it. It's uninstalled now. I've rebooted my Evo a few times and data seems to be fine now, however it now looks like 3G is not turning off when the phone is locked like it normally does with "always on mobile data" disabled. The only other things I can think is the recent Touiter update or today's GMail update.

[Q] GPS problems?

I purchased my Focus from AT&T when it was released on November 8th.
Since then, I've been having some issues with the GPS functionality.
For instance, yesterday I traveled around 40 miles, taking a couple hours, and the whole time the AT&T Navigator app was telling me that my GPS signal was too weak.
When I would try to use Bing maps, my "current location" was widely off - sometimes it was showing me hundreds of miles away.
This continued, even after turning the phone off/on.
Later that evening, I received 4 or 5 text messages, some that had been sent hours ago. At that point I tried AT&T Navigator and Bing maps, and both were reporting my location correctly.
What I'm trying to determine is whether the problem is a)an OS issue, b) an AT&T service issue (perhaps related to the text message delay), or c) a hardware issue.
If it's a hardware issue, I would like to get the phone replaced with another one.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

[Q] Google Now stocks card not showing up anymore

Has anyone else had this issue or know of a fix? I have tried clearing data of Google search and a complete reset of the device and my stocks still do not show up in Google Now.
They showed up last week. Doesn't seem to be a known issue yet...or people just don't care that much about stocks.
Thanks!

Not sure what the deal is either, but I have a similar problem.
The traffic/directions card never shows up for me; well reliably that is. If it knows I am away from 'home' sure it gives me directions via public transit. Meanwhile, when I am actually at home, I NEVER get the "time to work" card to show up no matter what I do. Same when I am at work. It never shows me the "time to home" card. Other places, I think it shows up fine. But my commute to/from work to home NEVER shows up.
If I do a search on Google Maps, cards show up everywhere lol.
A buddy of mine with an Xperia S also has that issue. My girlfriend's iPhone 5 with Google Now, actually works lol wth

Same here! Good to here I'm not alone...
Not showing up for me either. I accidentally managed to swipe it off a while ago but it should definitely have refreshed by now.
I also have a similar problem with the stocks card. My stock card does show up, but it goes away at around 5:30 or 6PM. If I haven't looked before that I'm sol. There used to be a setting in Google Now that would allow you to keep certain cards always shown, but I can no longer find it for the stocks card. I work third shift, and would like to be able to see what the stocks did on my home screen with the Google Now widget when I get to work, but I can't because it is always gone by then and I can't get it back. If anyone knows how to restore this setting, I would very much appreciate it. I have looked EVERYWHERE! Thanks.
The maps update I received today via the play store seemed to bring back my stocks! I am not sure if this is the fix but they are back and come back even when I swipe them away!
