Trying to flash it to CM10, With repartition zip file. it's successfull but i have no signal again . you have the pink screen? The best way to check is to remove the battery and the External SD card. Then plug in the power USB cable, press POWER and VOLUME DOWN button together. If the pink screen comes on then i think there is a chance.

you are not alone in this case. Even I have the same problem. I think the files from Huawei are corrupted. What I do is after installing the ORIGINAL ROM for the first time, at the FIRST BOOT, i use the program "Super One Click" to root the phone, and then install the apks so that i can quickly change the recovery.img to TCRW and then proceed to install the custom ROM of my choice.
I really suggest you go for Miui / Aurora (both are ICS) as the Jelly Bean custom ROMs are just way too buggy.

Haha, u are the Great , sir. I Have installing another rom, and then i got auto reboot, i click power off but i get reboot again (hahaha) , shutting down then rebooted again
I Think :
- The problem Internal SDCARD(EMMC) partition was bad, so the phone can't recognize what is the real internal sd card and the phone do a reboot
- And other files from image folder (like AMSS,EMCC, Or Cust or whatever) are not compatible with my base ( b526)
*i'm trying to install stock-partition.zip for re-partitioning my internal sd to the stock, but after i do flash zip files for many times are no effect was take
sir, i need a working stock partition zip file. have u partition/re-partitioning ur internal sd card sir ?>

best to go here. It has both the files you need. I would recommend Forumber's partition.zip.
Go to recovery
Flash forumber's partition.zip
reboot recovery
flash forumber's partition.zip again
reboot recoery
delete the cache, system, data
reboot recovery
install custom rom
reboot into custom ROM (first boot)
WIN!

Tested on u8800 and works very good. SD card sometimes can't mout properly, but i guess it's not an issue from CMW.
I've done a official GB backup, restored without a glitch, installed ICS demo without any problem too.
Can I upgrade my u8800 to official beta 2.3.5 and use this CWM to upgrade to cm7 or miui if I won't be able to use ics demo?
Sent from my u8800 using XDA App
Yes.
Sent from my ragelis
for me does not work. after several times trying to restore my miui backup (the onlyy one) it gave random errors some times, but after I was able to restore 2 times, I cant pass the miui boot.

Was it a backup you did with this CWM version? Or with the stockwell's CWM? The old backups don't work with this one I believe.
the backup its before this version of course. but even with this new CWM I cant flash new rom. I says error blablabla id u8800pro. I installed this because I wanted to try new ICSrom but now Im stuck to it lol

Have you flashed official GB before installing this recovery? I think you need to do that before this works in the original U8800.
yes I did ! the ICS works but not others.
Hmm, I tried to restore my backup from yesterday done with stockwells 5.0.2.6 recovery and my phone got ****ed up. I know I shouldn't have done this but I just had to try. xD Now I can't get past the Huawei logo, when I push the power the phone starts but just turns off after couple of seconds. I can get to bootloader (pink screen) but not to recovery. I hope no one else has tried this and I hope I get my phone working again.
Would anyone have any advice how to get my phone back up and running? Or should I just go bring it to warranty support?
have you tried to replace the recovery.img from this topic again? that happened to me too when I tried to go back with CWM v4 but then I replaced with this

Huawei U8800 Aurora ROM Questions

Hi all!
This is my first post and I am new to rooting so I will not know as much advanced techniques/terms so please be patient.
I decided to root my phone to install a custom ROM (Thats what everyone wants, right?), more specifically to get a newer version of Android. I found the Aurora ROM by Dzo and I flashed 2.04 and it seems very fluid and fast. I didn't upgrade from the official 2.3 because I couldn't find the files. I'm really liking the ICS environment.
My first question is: How do I find/install a baseband? I want to use this as my daily ROM and I can't do much without signal.
Second, My battery indicator is not working and how do I fix this?
Thirdly, When I put the device to sleep for about 5 secs or more it will not wake up and reboots. Is this fixed with a later patch?
And lastly, What upgrade pattern should I use to get up to 5.0? (e.g. 2.04-2.5-2.6 etc or jump straight to a version and go from there)
Thanks in advance
First of All,you must install official gingerbread for install ICS.
Your problems (battery and baseband) are causing by old amss.bin (baseband) and old bootloader.
First, install official gingerbread with code name V100R001C00B518G001. If you install this version, you must not do root for install Aurora ICS.
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?lws54xxb3lcm7di
If you install it,You must install CWM 5.0.2.8 or CWM 5.0.2.7 or CWM 6.0.2.8 or CWM 5.5.0.4 or TWRP Recovery. My prefence is install CWM 6.0.2.8
Here is 6.0.2.8;
http://code.google.com/p/forumber-projects-for-u8800/downloads/detail?name=recovery-clockwork-6.0.2.8-2.6.35.7-u8800.img&can=2&q=
1.Download the recovery
2.Remove SD Card and delete dload folder in phone's internal memory (if exists).
3.Power on the device while pushing volume up and down buttons.
4.If the pink screen appears, connect the phone to PC and wait for detect the phone
5.Rename downloaded img file to recovery.img and copy it to image folder in mass storage in Pink Screen
6. Download latest Aurora 5.0 and update 20 and copy those files to your sd card.
7. Power On the phone while pressing volume up button.
8. Backup the system to your sd card
9. Do "Wipe data/factory set"
10.Install Aurora 5.0,then install update 20
11.Reboot the system. And that's it! Enjoy the ICS

You can install offical gingerbread on rooted ROM. You don't need to wipe because the system will do wipe automaticly
No. You do not have to wipe. But you can if you want.
To install official gingerbread, you can install it over a rooted or a non rooted device. It doesn't matter because when you install gingerbread. The device will automatically be un rooted. You would have to root your device again after installing official gingerbread.
The easiest way to root gingerbread is to use SuperOneClick. Here is a tutorial for rooting your gingerbread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420728
In the link above, just do the steps under 'Rooting the U8800 with SuperOneClick v2.3.3' and 'Installing ClockworkMod 5.5.0.4 on your U8800'.
I hope I helped. Good Luck and have fun rooting!
When I try to flash the Gingerbread ROM, It says Installation aborted. Why is this?
I am using CWM 5.5.0.4

You do not flash official firmware with CWM.
You must extract the file that you have downloaded.
After extracting it, keep going into the extracted files until you find a folder called 'dload'.
Copy this dload folder to the root of sdcard.
Now, power on your phone by pressing and holding down the power + volume up + volume down buttons all together.
The phone will automatically start installing the official android 2.3

If you don't understand anything then you are welcome to ask me about it. I will explain it to you.
Good Luck!

Good Job. I hope you don't run into any kind of problem

[Q] I cant update, goes into restart loop!

I am trying to solve for weeks, tried a lot of roms but still could not manage.
My phone is huawei u8800. Kernel 2.6.32.9
buildnumber u8800v100r001c00b138sp04
It is 2.2.2
I click online upgrade in about phone menu but it cant find anything to upgrade.
I install cwm and flashing a new rom, for example b518 2.3 but after installing, it restarts after loading logo and this goes on. And everything is wiped, cwm is wiped after this and i have to go into android recovery to solve this. I reset wipe data and if i am lucky, i can open phone in 2.2.2. If not, it makes me to try to go back to.
I dont know how this happened first. I was using aurora then i wanted to go back to stock rom. I made also partition and maybe this is the reason.
In cwm, it cant mount ext sd so i have to + - and power to upgrade.
Please help me to solve this. I tried a lot of things but couldnot manage.
Anyone helps? I am waiting helps, thank you
OK. I just recently got stuck in the same situation and this is how I solved it:
1. Download and install official B517: http://www.mediafire.com/download/vh3aqdx5608ubb8/U8800V100R001C00B517G001+%28Beta1.0%29%28Overseas+Normal%29%28Gingerbread%29.zip
2. After installing, if it boots then that is good, but if it doesn't boot then it still doesn't matter. Mine didn't boot, so I went into pink screen by turning off the phone, and then pressing vol +, vol -, and power at the same time to go into pink screen.
3. When you go into pink screen, connect your phone to Windows PC (Windows 7 or 8 should work).
4. Download cwm recovery 6.0.2.8: https://code.google.com/p/forumber-projects-for-u8800/downloads/detail?name=recovery-clockwork-6.0.2.8-2.6.35.7-u8800.img&can=2&q=
5. When you connect pink screen phone to computer, a removable disk will come up. Go into the removable disk and you will see recovery.img there. Now, rename the cwm recovery you downloaded above to recovery.img (if you cannot see .img at the end then just type recovery). After renaming to recovery.img, copy the downloaded cwm recovery.img to the removable disk, and replace the old recovery.img in the removable disk.
6. After replacing stock recovery.img with cwm recovery.img, you will have CWM Recovery 6.0.2.8. Now, you can go into recovery to install a ROM. Make sure you install Aurora 5.0 experimental first.
I have tried to keep the steps simple. If you follow them you should be fine. If you don't understand anything then please ask and I will try to reply. I cannot reply right now because it is time for me to sleep, so you will have to wait

You cannot see the system size from the android settings. Besides that, I don't know how to see if system is partition.
The partition you have posted is data partition (the top one), and the bottom one is your internal sdcard. From that, all I can see is that you have data partition, and not system partition.
I guess the only way of finding out if you have system partition is to flash a big ROM. If the ROM starts up fine then you don't need system partition, but if the ROM doesn't start up then you need system partition.
By the way, what ROM do you have now? Does your phone work fine?

I guess the only way of finding out if you have system partition is to flash a big ROM. If the ROM starts up fine then you don't need system partition, but if the ROM doesn't start up then you need system partition.
By the way, what ROM do you have now? Does your phone work fine?

I dont want to go into that loops again so it is ok if partition is not correct.

>>SOLVED<< u8800 ideos X5 problem!

Firts i am sory for my english!
I have a ideos X5 (u8800).
i use the AURORA rom (v5u21) for many months without problem, but before 1 month my phone drop down to floor and batery pops out!
the when i open it shows me a black screen with 2 square (i think red and blue).
i pull out the battery and re-insert but the phone stuck at huawei logo!
i try to enter recovery with no luck!
i download the 2.2.2 update.app from xda and putt the dload folder on root of sd card... i start with vol + & - and the phone starts the update with oute problem! after 5 minutes my phone is online with android 2.2.2 but with 0 imei... i root and restore the imei and then i download the latest gb update from huawei (B528).
from that time my phone no boot and stuck at huawei logo, i try other official roms like B522 and B517 etc without luck...all the same result: stuck at huawei logo!
i putt again the old 2.2.2 (b138) dload on sd card and the phone starts again to android 2.2.2 but with FC's every one second. i try wipe and reinstall but nothing... i try other official roms and recoverys with no luck!
i found a thread about a full flash and i do it!
my phone after 1 hour boot up with android 2.2.2, i root and CWM and restore my imei. i use for a day to sure that work and works perfectly...
then i try to update to 2.3.5 official and i have the same thing...NO BOOT... bootloop from huawei logo!
i have access to pink screen and i install CMW recovery, i try full wipe and reboot but with no luck!!
so now if i put official 2.2.2 dload on sd my phone starts on android 2.2.2 with out problem.... but i can install any other rom!
please help!
thanks from now for any answers!

Only 2 gb internal space, after bricked my phone

Short long story. I tried to intall a custom room. in the end was stuck at the bootloader. So after hours, i downloaded my UPDATE.APP , extract system, restore, boot.. did with fastboot. And it was alive again. Now, he acts weird, i cant make any theme changes, for example. And the BIG problem is that now i have only 2 GB internal space and im unable to copy a update.app and make a clean update. i deleted a partition or smth? please help me
UPDATE: It seems that when i booted system.img , was just a bridge to acces my phone. (I didnt do smth right). So, i just reboot in recovery and did a factory reset. Simple as that xD . Now, furthure Q: Anyone know how to install a custom room? i dont have a sd card.

Do you have TWRP? If yes then wipe everything and flash all the images again.
There are two ways to install a custom ROM (via fastboot or custom recovery) can you specify which rom do you want to install?
