Hi All,
Does anyone know a way to create user accounts on S4 device? I know you can do that on tablets with 4.2.1 JB but is it possible to do for S4.
Like you know when you usually let your friend use your phone you should be able to logout from your account and they can login with guest account just like Windows Pc?
I think this will be awesome feature?
Ali
i believe it was just a tablet feature so if you want your friends away of your personal stuff use an app lock

This is my first android device and I was wondering if anyone has a solution for multiple users. I don't want anyone to be able to access my email or just freely buy things through the tablet itself using my account.
I have already signed into my gmail account without thinking about it, because it is required to do most things with the tablet. This then pulled up all my emails. Since this tablet will be used by several people, I deleted the account. Should I just make a new dummy google account specifically for the tablet? Since I already signed into my account, they have sent my $25 to my email. Now I don't believe I can transfer it, but I'm curious if I can add my email account when I want to buy/install something, then delete the account and put it back to the dummy account while still being able to use whatever app I bought?
I just don't want to test these things out myself causing some other issue to popup (eg use my play credit, but apps/games/etc can't be used on another account).
So I received a Nexus 7 today as a gift from a grateful client. I'd wanted one for quite a while and would have purchased one eventually, but through luck, I finally have an N-7. But having played with it for barely an hour, I'm concerned about privacy in sharing this device with my family.
You see, I want to use this on my existing Google account, so that dozens of apps that I've previously purchased for my Android phone (Razr Maxx) and Android Tablet (ThinkPad) can be installed on this device without having to re-purchase them all. However, to my great surprise and frustration, I can't seem to make the Chrome Browser logout of my account and stay logged out.. Using App Protector Pro, I can lock down the Gmail app and other apps that I don't want others using. However, even though there is a logout link in Gmail when displayed in the Chrome Browser, whenever I re-open the browser the home page it displays offers to let me sign into my Google account with one click.
I use Gmail to communicate with clients. I am required by law to keep their communications private. I absolutely cannot allow a family member to have access to my Gmail account under any circumstances. How can I let my spouse and kids use the Nexus 7 but make it impossible for them to get to my Gmail through the browser? Note: I have no such trouble on my ThinkPad, but it's running ICS not JB.
You can use switchme for user accounts its the best and probably the only app around here that makes you feel desktop like user account experience. For example after adding a password to your account you can create a new account for your children. New account will not have any kind of data from your account including user apps, cookies, history, mail accounts and even the wifi access points so nothing from your account .

Hello guys !
Like I have to said. I switched from Win 7 to 8 and everything is perfect except the Store...
Like there wouldn't be a problem of using Microsoft account in Win 8 but every time I turn on my computer or even logout I have to type in stupid password -.- God Dammit !
Is there any way I can download apps from store without using microsoft account ?
Or to bypass that stupid password for logging in ? But I more prefer to be not logged in into any type of account to use my pc.
Just to be safe you know

For what it's worth, you can't be not logged into *any* kind of account - that's quite simply not possible on a multi-user operating system like NT. Even if you bypass the login interface entirely, you're still running under the SYSTEM account. On the other hand, if you you meant is that you want to avoid being signed into any *online* account, then... yeah, that's sort-of possible on Win8. The store apps are tied, by purchase, to your online account; you can avoid signing into the account to use the PC in general, but if you want Store apps you have to sign into that. It's (exactly) like asking to use Steam apps without signing into Steam
Also in my opinion it is a bad idea to not have a password protecting a pc. Even when I had windows 7 my desktop PC which isn't going anywhere had a password. Its almost like buying a chainsaw that came with some nice gloves and a protective shield on the back of the blade and then removing the shield and throwing the gloves away. You say just to be safe, well what you are proposing is the exact opposite. Computer security is not a joke, now where do you live so I can come and use your pc and perhaps see if your email, PayPal and online banking are set to "remember me"?
Store apps rely on a Microsoft account which means you must be signed into a Microsoft account. You can attempt to sideload apps and a few will work, alot won't.

Just use an offline account to login. Store will ask for your Live account when you open it, so it will be only used for Store, not Windows login
Click to collapse
Didn't knew that. Thanks. Working perfectly well ^^ I thought Win will change from local to Live account.
.
just make your windows to login automatically
So i own a S3 on sprint and a Nexus 7 2013 wifi. My friend runs a S5 on verizon and he runs it stock because he doesnt really know much about android development. Unfortunately, im in Japan atm so i cant go see him to verify this my self, but he told me that the email app he uses which comes with his S5 doesn't allow Gmail accounts to be tied to it and it forces him to use Gmail for his gmail account while using the email app for his exchange accounts for work.
Is this because Verizon has its own variant of the google Email app or is it something else entirely? I know that the normal google email app should be able to run both exchange accounts and gmail accounts as i use it my self on both my S3 and my Nexus 7. Is there some way to remove this verizon email app and replace it with the google email app with out rooting if possible?
Thanks.
Edit: Hell the icons are even different, his is a Red @ sign on an envelope where as mine is a yellow one that looks like the gmail app's icon.
