[Solved]FF6 ID dependant ? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey chaps hows it going?
Ive downloaded and played Fast and Furious 6 on my N4 but ive made some mistakes and i wanted to reset my career...problem is no matter what i do(uninstall, delete data, clear cache etc) ..the game always reloads my career...my question is...does this game save any files in any directory or is it AndroidID dependant and saves my game in cloud? If so do i have to change my ID to reset the career?
Respect
EDIT : Check 4th Post.

I feel the same

Man I feel your pain, I searched everywhere I could think of for any files related to the game to try and delete them.....no avail. I ditched it all together and went back to CSR Racing.

I just found a way chaps!
Its actually easy :
1)Go to options and create a Kabam Account.
2)Login it
3)Play a Race
4)go to options and log off that Kabam account
5)Exist and close the game completely
Done...now your progress has been reset hehe
Respect.

Awesome thank you trying it now.

Gallery - Be careful.

Today, I opened gallery after a long time. It was full of all sorts of pictures! If you watch any kind of movie, gallery saves few pictures from that! I don't know how this happens, because there are no settings to avoid this.
So did you watch a p0rn clip and it shows up in Gallery? LoL
busted!

Add a blank file named .nomedia to any directory you don't want Gallery to index.
This can also speed the start-up process.

Ok It worked once I restarted my device, but is there a way to block audio form games like Gangstar and asphalt from being shown in your music app?
Is there a .noaudio file or something?

Has anybody got luck with Street Fighter IV HD ?

Well as the title says and you can imagine, i didn´t have too much luck.
First time i´ve installed the game, when starts i have to wait long hours to download the data, once it was finished, started to play buuuuut.... i just could play A MINUTE before crash.... and the background in the menu and in the game was white
I´ve been able to find the data files (1.23gb) somewhere, put the folder in sd card, and nothing, when start the game automatically goes to the download bar
So i wanted to know, wich was your experience, did you have luck ?? all worked fine ??? and in the case it worked for you, what did you do ??? (could facilitate me the data files ? )
I must say the data files i´ve downloaded could be for smartphones maybe, i know....
Any help would be really appreciated

interesting, why does it happen ???
could you upload the data files contained in the sdcard ??
thank you
i found a version where you install modded apk for your screen resolution, put 1.23gb worth of files on sd card, and restore cache via titanium backup before opening the app but i just get a black screen. I tried chainfire 3d with qualcom drivers but no luck. Bummer, i love sf4, and would have loved to try this version. I guess ill get the legit version in 3 months when it hits the market.

This project will be halted due to studies.I hope you understand.
Anyone intrested in continuing this pm me.
Intro:
Hey guys...
As you know you can now get asphalt 7 for free os samsung apps(yay! ) but when i downloaded the graphics were pretty bad for my standards...
Anyway i decided to look into in and i messed a bit with the games files...
The results i got were sweet!
Features:
Now the game has:
1)anti aliasing enabled
2)the car and enviroment looks much better and the biggest plus
3)it it runs 60 fps most of the time!! (i need confirmation about this, although it's much smoother!)
4)POTENTIALY decrease battery drain due to less workload for the gpu with the new settings...
I've played 20 minutes and only 5% is gone!(using lh3 ics and siyah 1.5.2 with undervolted and overclocked cpu+gpu (1600mhz cpu,533mhz gpu)
New in V2!
Fully blown out graphics!
All details maxed out!
-Enabled High quality car shader
-Lod back to highest value
-Gamma luminance enabled
-Dynamic reflection optimized
-Car reflection in garage enabled
This looks ULTRA SWEET!

If run into any problem, just delete the file and the game will re-download the previous one in seconds!
2)I'm not sure if the ones that bought it have the game installed in that directory!
If you do,you're most likely in luck fellas!
If you don't,i can't do anything sorry....
3)Seems like it doesn't work on jellybean...:/
Sorry guys,i'm using LH3 ics rom...it should have theoreticaly worked with jelly bean....anyway,try it you may be lucky!
There's no risk..

MAJOR UPDATE!!!
Looks like i almost have the "universal" version ready!
I want ANYONE to post me their device's original DeviceConfig.xml and tell me from which device is this file!
When you post i'll have the version ready for that device,i found the issue that caused the download 1mb update and made the file working!
But in order to fix it,i'll need your ORIGINAL file!
By the way i also need an xml of the paid S3 version so i can make this work also.
Thank you guys.
EDIT:Added Galaxy S3 version V2 with even better graphics while maintaining great performance.
I need feedback on this one!
For now it only works on sammy version but as soon as someone with the paid version posts me his xml i'll make it work for the paid one as well...
P.S. The universal version will be based on the V2 not on the old one, don't worry...

For anyone else wondering how/where can you get the game for free the link is right here!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1872844
P.S.
1)I've made some screenshots but there's not much difference there!you'll notice the difference when you play, not in static images...
2)This WILL NOT WORK ON OTHER DEVICES...yet!
I you want it to ask me and i'll try to make it work for that device....
(and you can be a tester... )
I'll start a universal version soon so stay tuned!
3)I am not responsible for anything that happens if you mess up,delete data, cause a nuclear war,or have kittens assault you and anything else!
Happy Gaming everyone!

maybe try to search for "gameloft" or "A7" on your sdcard with your file explorer (Root Explorer at least has this option), should give you all folders & files with gameloft or A7 in it. Maybe that helps to find it
--edit: or search directly for the DeviceConfig.xml

No MSAA enabled on mine...
If you buy the game from the playstore, all the data is stored in the following location: sdcard/android/obb/com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA7HM. There is no ".../files/" folder.
All the data is capsulated into a file, main.100.com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA7HM.obb, that has 1.4gb.
I copied the config file but the game graphics are the same. I guess that you need to put the config file into the 1.4gb file .
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/155/screenshot2012090708055.png/
Update: I unzipped the obb file replaced the config file and zipped again the files(i zipped all the files into a .tar file, and after that i changed the extension name). After that i replaced the current file withe the official .obb, but the game fails to run. :|

If this project was so important to you why didn't you back it up off of the phone somewhere? Dropbox or the free 50GB Box account most got with the Nexus 4 come to mind. I'm not sure if a full nandroid backup includes the contents of the sdcard on the nexus 4 but that might be a place to start looking, that is if you ever bothered to do a full backup of your phone.
You can get your files back, the same thing happened to me, my pocket somehow formatted my sdcard. Look for software that recovers deleted files

XDA also encourages users to search for answers before asking for help. This place is for learning new things and expanding current knowledge. People won't really learn if they're spoon fed what they want to know.

Boy do you have it wrong. XDA is not a place to come and get help. IT is not a support site. This is a developers site. You are EXPECTED to put in the time and effort to fix your own issues first. Then spend some time searching. (and do search outside your own devices forum) Then you try some things you have seen. If that doesnt work then you can post a thread but dont expect a solution.

I haven't tested such software, and I could be wrong, but when you connect (most) newer Android devices to a computer, you get access to the files via MTP. You don't have direct access to the filesystem (which I think is ext4), and because of this, you can't do the "advanced" stuff needed for file recovery (I guess checking sectors, free space, and etc.)
Older (and some newer) Android devices when hooked to a computer let you do USB Mass Storage (essentially the same kind of access you have when you plug a flash drive in), which is giving you direct access to the file system (FAT32), and in-theory, should work fine with file recovery software.
so can we mount the nexus 4 as fat32 or ext4? because on mine it just shows up in device section with no name

Google Play Music crashing

Having seemingly got rid of my alarm clock freezes and other weird stuff I still get problems with Play music on my note 3
It hangs with app not responding. I use all access and the crash occurs when browsing around albums etc, whilst playing a track.
The log report shows caused by:
"ANR keyDispatchingTimedOut"
I've looked at comments on the Play store and searched around, I can't find any recent threads on this issue.
Not sure if this is my note having issues again or is it common?

Well , I use almost the same setting than you do , except "download via wifi" is checked.
I think it could be something with cover arts , do you download the albums that you have uploaded on Google servers?
I 've a couple of albums I've uploaded , and I like to see nice covers , maybe if you tag your MP3 with a cover "too big" , it could make a problem with that "java.langOutOfMemory error?
Really it is only an assumption , I don't know too much about programming and stuff like that...

I do have a few albums that I uploaded a while back. Some don't show a picture as it can't find any cover art. I'm going to delete all my uploaded stuff and see if that makes a difference. I have most of it on Dropbox or my sd anyway. I'll let you know.

Actually , I've deleted all my music cached on my phone , and just by browsing my collection online it crashes...
Also , I've found a micro SD card , so I've tried to insert it in the phone , and chose to cache the music on it.Guess what , crash
Must be a memory leak or something like that , since when I restar my phone , it works for a couple of minutes before it crashes.
I've sent like hundreds of crach logs to Google , emailed the support , and I see I'm not the only one to have the issue.
If Google doens't push an update of this application , I guess spotify will get my 10 euros/months.

Yeh I've sent loads of logs and tried to email support. I haven't even had a reply back.
It's not good having to pay for such a crap service. I notice they have made it harder to contact them now, took ages to navigate all the useless forms/topics to get to send an email. In the end I emailed them on an address I used over a year ago. Still not heard back. Going to try calling them on the nexus sales line and see if they can give me a contact.

I tried something , that could be totally wrong but it doesn't cost anything to try :
Go to Setting - Application manager - Running - Google Play Music.
Then you should see 2 services , and one named something like "Art download " or something like that.
I turned that service off , rebooted the phone and played 10 minutes only with the application without crach
It could be only a coincidence but who knows?
EDIT Don't even try , I just had another crash.....OK Google play good bye for good.

I'm sure you probably haven't but have you had problems with:
A: The stock alarm clock failing and crashing. Ok since my last factory reset.
B: Google maps crashing randomly
C: Blurry pictures with low-med light and black lines in video recording with wifi enabled.
D: Is your note a new build or one of the first released?
Just wondering if the first batch of note 3s have faults with memory etc.

I have none of the problems you describe , everything's ok except that Google Play app.
I've purshased my Note 3 the 10th of October last year , from a big french online store , I'm not sur if the phone is part of the first release or not , how can I check that?
Not sure if serial numbers mean anything as the nexus devices do, but what firmware did it come with ?

I'm sorry , I can't remember , there was a firmware update as soon as I unboxed it , and now I'm on stock XXUDMK2.
I'm just amazed this phone has 3 GO of Ram , and I only have 10% left.
I'm pretty sure this is because all that Samsung bloatware that eats all the Ram.
Are you on stock firmware? Maybe Cyanogenmod could do something for us ?

Problem is Cyanogen = no warranty if I do have hardware issues :/
That and unless I'm wrong the stylus would be useless without touchwiz

That is true.
Maybe this new kitkat firmware will solve the issue ?
I'm at work at the moment (well for lunch break) but if you have time and want to flash the new one, could you tell me if Play Music works ?
Thanks !

Mine crashes while Im doing extensive searching meaning. I find a song I like, and I go to "similar artists" at the bottom, and go to a new artist. I repeat this many times until the actual app freezes the phone, and force quits eventually.
Lame because I like to play random trivia with my gf so she expands her music horizons
Yeah this is what happens to me too, I Think this problem does'nt come our Gnote3, but from this application. If you search on Google we can see this problem is there since à good while, and the updates didn't fix it.

Yes you are right that's exactly the process that normally makes mine crash. Looking at similar artists, albums by same artist etc.

I've just flash the new kitkat firmware , unti now everything OK.
But usually it takes some time after a reboot before it crashes , so let's wait a bit....
EDIT OK one crach already , but this time it does not ask me to send a log , just "Google play music has stopped working".
Humm I think I'll stick with Spotify then , after all it is at least as good as Google Play.

Just crashed again after deleting all my uploaded tracks. Related artist browsing crashed it in no time.
