I have been working on this build for the Og evo and have it almost finished. I was wondering if there was any interest from the evo shift users for a new gingerbread rom unlike any yall have tried before. This has many features of ics/jb added to it (toggle panes, pie, and softkeys) along with a unique user interface. check it out here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2277764. There are only a few screen shots but if there is any interest I can easily pop out a tester for yall.
Sure! It looks pretty good. Thanks for the offer.
Damn you were fast on the draw there buddy. Guess that is why you go by the title of pathfinder! LOL! I have it compiling now just remember if/when you install this that it is untested. I have an OG and a 3vo but no shift to test with.
Okay here is the first build. Please hit me back with some feedback.

Just Flashed it. That Boot Ani is awesome :cyclops: . One of my all time favorite songs. Messing with it now. Will post up later.
The bar at the bottom isn't right and I'm having a little trouble with the display not going into landscape. Here's a pic of the dock.
When you say habing trouble. Do you mean it lags? I was having the same issue. Changed the animations speed to fast. Also raised the default CPU setting. From 1024 to 1497.

The navbar at the bottom can be disabled in the settings so there is no need for two builds. If you take the time and go through the settings you will find that this rom has so many customizable options it is overwhelming. Now about the camera and screen orientation I will see if I can find a better source for the speedy device and that should fix those two issues. I will try and get another build out in a couple of days.

I think you shouldn´t suggest to flash ANY LP1-6 kernel anymore. Today, everybody should know the danger of them...

Ultrafine! The only one thing missing is the possibility to change the DPI!!
Works well enough but Samsung seem to have tried to hide the simple elegance of stock ICS in some ways. Thinking of going back to CM9. Not much of a pen user anyway ,

Thanks

Loving the ICS release except for one thing.....
I toggle silent/vibrate on and off quite a lot. When I do this, using the long-press power-button menu, some wonderful person has decided that I am so clueless, I need a confirmation dialogue box.
"Warning! Silent mode will be enabled OK/Cancel"
Gasp! Really!?!?! I had no idea that would happen when I purposely held down the power button and then with delicate intent selected the desired silent-mode function.
Just. Wow. It's supposed to be a shortcut, and Samsung just ruined it. Of course, I flashed completely stock without root, so I'm probably stuck with this until somebody figures out how to root this stock ICS release. (Maybe they have already, I'll do a search).
It's a small complaint to most people, but I toggle silent on and off many times a day. This is a huge annoyance. I'll see if there are any lockscreen toggles I can get - actually, EVERY single android release or skin should have silent/vibrate toggle on the lock screen, as it was in the earlier android releases. Motorola seems to be the only one who realises this. Sheesh....
Generally good, am upset by the lack of 160 dpi/tablet conform, just be aware if you're going for lower dpi's you'll face fc's

thanks for this! i'll test this out and tell how it compares to affinity for me once it finish downloading.
i've been running this for a few hours, and at this point its kinda laggy at 1.5 ghz. rosie redraws a lot. affinity is much faster imo. i'll let it "set in" for a day or two then report again. keep in mind though this is on a brand new G2, i literally unboxed it, rooted it, then flashed this. this rom has a lot of potential though. i haven't called anyone, but i think its suitable as a dd.

Depends on to what extent it isn't working. Unless Inifnity changes things, it hasn't been working for Sense 4.0 (And half-ass working on other ICS roms). But I think the hype of infinity on vision is that you can least take a picture even if the camera may be buggy. i.e.: big + for Sense ICS on Vision/G2/DZ (PS : Vision = DZ/G2 in case you didn't know).
Infinity seems to take photos fine. Even does continuous shots. Haven't tried camcorder.

I'm curious to what extent the camera behaves compared to some other roms I've tried (AOKP, Andromadus etc).
---------- Post added at 06:39 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:57 AM ----------
hrm, shame this rom doesn't enable adbd from the start, was wondering why I couldn't get a logcat on it's slow boot up. (i.e.: it'd be nice for relaying debugging information).
How can I overclock my device with this rom? It's a little bit laggy, but has lots of potential!! Thanks to the great developers!
The camera actually works better on infinity than it does on any non-Sense ICS rom I've used (for example on EliteMod ICS, if I were to use instagram, you can't even see an image in the camera screen, but it'll still take the picture albeit corrupted).
---------- Post added at 07:04 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:54 AM ----------
Yea while the rom itself seems pretty slow, the camera functionality is far better than any of the other ICS roms I've used, no problems with 3rd party camera applications either (instagram, pudding camera, etc).
Can anyone confirm with me is music player, wifi, sms and call working in infinity?

Taking it back to 2011 N1 style. I'd love to learn from others.
This is one I really like... long press Home button brings up a menu with a nice task manager, no widget required.
i like the way we can take screenchot...by swiping the palm over the screen from left to right and right to left....but it needs to be enabled in settings--> motion

You can quickly check the time msg etc by rolling your palm over the light sensor quickly then back. There will be a slight delay for the display to turn on. Of-course you'd have to switch the option on in motion settings. Don't be scared if you notice a red light peeking at you next to the ffc after that move. It's "quick glance" option at work. Doesn't really seem to drain battery either.
ps - Make sure you turn on smart stay and smart rotate, they are freakin awesome and they really work. - only downside, it makes auto rotation a tad bit slower but not by much. This is due to smart rotate needing a short time to recognize the angles.

I'm a big fan of the magic wave. Likewise with smart stay and rotate. I also set the calibration for auto-rotation at a slight bias towards portrait, so the switch to landscape is only triggered when I'm actually holding it landscape.
Also, I noticed there's a separate forum for the T-Mobile T889 http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1877

I actually figured the same thing. I was rather upset and thought to myself "do I really have to take out the spen every time I want to take a screen shot?" thank goodness for that! Actually my friend had go show me that there was another option in the motion menu.

You can now take a "screen shot" with the spen of only parts you want.
Take out your pen and then press the side button and then draw a complete circle, square, or any shape you like around part of the screen and then let go of the button. You need to connect the two ends though. It's very useful if you don't want to have to take a screen shot and then edit it with the crop feature. It's also very useful to just send off as the share button is just right there.

What do you guys think of the camera modes? I think a lot of them seem to be cool but aren't they all independent? I.e., if I'm taking a shot of 3 people in a busy area, it stands to reason that I would want to use best shot for the people's faces but also use the eraser feature in case someone walked by. Is that possible?
I'm also thinking about combining all the features in very few modes...like what the htc one did.. it's actually all based on burst-mode or post-effect.
I'm really confused why they've made it in this way, it can't help a lot in the daily usage and sometimes is annoying.
Is anyone else having the issue of the camera not remembering the mode if you close ot then open it again at a later point

Gs3 gti9300 had this to it is easily fixed by choosing your desired settings, then take a snap of something, then close cam and close in running apps, then when u load fresh it will still have saved settings. This only applies to gps, face detection, ISO, resolution, not the drama shot and shot with sound.
Hope this helps

Hi lovely guys of the Note 3 forum!!
I've had my Note 3 for some time now and I was wondering if my screen is defect since it does act a little weird. I hope you can clarify this for me
Whenever I put my screen on low brightness, the screen tend to leave a trail of purple color behind whenever I scroll/move something. It'd be very nice if anyone with a Note 3 could test this for me, if u are having the same problem or if it's just me
A good way to test this, is to set brightness to 0% and then pull the notificationcenter down and try to swipe the notifications away slowly and look closely, if u can find some purple trail leaving behind the swiping object. To see this clearly, you can download the app Lux and set the brightness to sub-zero. Try -50% and it should be very easy to see. Would mean a ton to me if you could report back. I need to return my device asap if it's defect.
Thank you very much!! <3

I think I know what you are talking about. I also believe my smartphone has same problem. As an example if you download BBC News application, then scroll down to end of page and pull further you will see this tail of light appear. It also does this in the settings page when you scrol up or down but you have to get to bottom or top of page and pull further

Not sure if that was sarcasm... BEcause I hope it was.
That's the replacement for the 'bounce at end of page' that Apple successfully sued Samsung over. It now glows.

could it be that some batches of screen are affected and some are not? it doesn't bother me too much though.
