With all great advancement in creating user friendly, elegant and beautiful devices samsung made the breath taking galaxy s4. Why they equipped it with a crappy headset???

Hey guys now that we have seen the Galaxy S3 I dont know whether its a good trade off to sacrifice the Galaxy Note with 5.3" Screen for a S3 with only a 4.8" Screen + new features & accessories. I really really like both I just wish the Galaxy Note had all the features the S3 has. Do you guys think Samsung will Give the Note some features of the S3 or is it just better to get the S3 altogether for its pure awesomeness and screw the 5.3" screen?
Thanks for the Help!

I doubt Samsung will port features to the existing Note, but you can expect them in Note 2 at least, which won't be for a while though.
I Love My Note but also buy a Galaxy S III
Yeah sounds about right... oh and thanks for the link, helped me a little..
I'd go with the Galaxy S3.
The new Exynos seems so promising.
If the 3mm stylus works and is available before the sgs4 hits the shelves I definitely trade in the note for the sgs3 . I saw in the system dump that it contains the SMemo app, so if I can really write with the 3mm pen, the Sgs3 would be the best for me size wise (don't care about the new gimmicks though, although the inductive charger is nice, really nice)
Just got my note a week ago and rooted it but I will definitely get the S3 for sure, awesome hardware!

I am a happy note owner, I love the damn thing....When I first got the Note I also has a Galaxy s2, I decided then that definately I wanted the Note the most and sold the S2.
But what really..really tempts me to switch to S3 is the potentially superior audio, from the excellent built in dac and the superior loudspeaker and call quality.
The blutooth that should allow quality wireless headphones to be taken advantage of also!
It's the sound that makes me want it...the whole audio experience.
For now I have pre ordered the s3 while clinging on to my note.
When it comes I will try the s3 for a few days and see if I miss the Note too much or not.
So the answer to Note v S3 is indeed a tough one, and I cant quite answer it yet.
Gnote didnt u get bored of it? I had one kept it for two months then sold it. Yeah it is cool to have spen but just at the beginning + its processor is old

As my real life compare side by side:
Adv of Note over S3:
- Bigger screen: Depent on your screen size need. If you spend much time on your phone ( read, watch, see ... not call ) and you need to protect your eyes, Note better.
- S Pen: there are something fun with it. Next time Samsung will release premium package design for G Note. If you always note something quickly, draw without paper + pen, Note is important for you.
Adv of S3 over Note:
- Size: fit to your hand. I feel very nice when hand on S3. Your finger almost cover screen. S3 also feel much thinner G Note.
- Screen: less oversaturate, warmer color tone.
- Power: much better than G Note. Almost no lag, very smooth. You will do multi tasking easily. I wish S3 has 1.5GB.
- Camera: better camera, esp on speed, contrast of pics, low light. Pics quality = a bit better.
- Battery: S3 better
- Temperature: S3 is cooler
- Smart: I feel S2, G Nexus and ( almost ) G Note are the same but with S3, I feel it smart with many new smart features. I think S3 = very good step forward about intergrated softwares.
I'm using Note now. I will sell my Note, buy S3 and come back with Note on the Note 2 base on Quadcore A9 or Dual Core A15 + powerfull Mali T604 ( 4 times faster ).
No the GS4/Google isn't immediately coming to Sprint, but I'm thinking of jumping to AT&T for it. But before paying a premium, I'm looking for input into a bluetooth problem which happens to be the only thing I don't LOVE about my nexus phone.
My Galaxy S THREE give *excellent* Bluetooth quality of voice of the person on the other end; custom Rom or stock doesn't matter, same good experience. What I get from my galaxy nexus is *horrible* quality, regardless of stock OR custom rom including 4.2.2.
Any opinions regarding what to expect from the upcoming galaxy s4 Google edition regarding Bluetooth quality? Perhaps good quality because it's GS4 hardware? Or the same bad quality as my GNex because it will probably be the same vanilla 4.2.2?
thanks!
I use Bluetooth headphones everyday for work and i use the motorola s10-HD. Quality is amazing and it worked even at least 20 feet away in decent quality. I dont know what you use, but this is decent. I hated using it on the Hero, Evo, Evo Shift, and my SII. but the SIII and S4 is amazing.

Yes it should be better than those phones. The Galaxy Nexus is pretty old so ya of course the S3 would have a lot better hardware as will the S4 over the S3. But the S3 compared to the Galaxy Nexus was a pretty big leap in tech. The Galaxy Nexus is pretty much the E4GT hardware wise.

Hey guys. I recently acquired a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. Every time I go on a HD image the screen elderly gets a lot sharper alongside the letters and everything turns "True HD" if you will. Is this a glitch? I'm familiar with Android phones so don't be afraid to use technical terms if needed
It's increasingly looking like no Edge 2... i say we all keep our Note Edges going and not buy another Samsung this year around aswell, to make the point to Samsung.
I was gonna do it anyways since I really do appreciate the features the Edge screen has and I am cheap, but lets not kid ourselves, we are small niche. Most people don't really research phones just the mainstream phones they see on ads. This community is small enough on XDA. I doubt they'll notice. I mean hell, their OTA updates since 4.4.4 have turned the Note Edge into Note 4. Unfortunately I think our little phone and group is all thats gonna be left of a cool experiment that got trashed by the stupid mainstream phone reviewers
The Note Edge was a testbed for the upcoming S6 Edge. There were a lot of references for the "Zero Project" (S6 codename) in the Note 4 and Note Edge code. Both (N4 and N Edge) had a unique design language that was started with the Galaxy Alpha (which was also the testbed for the Galaxy A series) and ended with these devices. Both were stuck in the same User Interface over all their major updates. Both devices were -sadly- released when Samsung was already planning a new era of devices. Easily forgettable devices for both consumers and the manufacturer itself. The S6 Edge Plus replaced what "Note Edge 2" should had been and I'm pretty sure that an S7 Edge Plus would be the third one. Lets face it: Why do you want a pen with a curved canvas?

For me it's been the best phone ever because of those two reasons
Yeah, I love my edge but see no future for me and Samsung. I will use this phone until my contract expires at the end of the year. It is not that hard for me as there is no real progress in technology I will miss out, isn't it? Maybe I will switch back to HTC..

With a 5:10 screen ratio, S Pen and curved screen go together fine. Infact i much prefer the wider screen of my Note Edge, don't want to go back to skinny phones.
The Seperate screen is absolutely the best feature . The ability to multitask in this way is more productive than having multi screen!!! MARKETING BOYZ!!!
Sadly there are no more developers left for this phone. Everyone's developing roms for mainstream phones.

Don't give up hope completely. There may be a second variant of Note 6 with curved edge. Not sure how good source is...

Rumours suggest there will be
This week I decided to let go of Galaxy S8.
I've been a fan of Android devices since gingerbread days.
1. My first android phone, the Galaxy Y DUOS,
2. Galaxy S3
3. Galaxy S6 (Snapdragon)
4. One Plus 3
5. Galaxy TAB S2
6. Galaxy S8's (Exynos and SnapDragon variant)
I have decided to not continue - use android anymore due to performance, it's been of a "stagnant" years of android to keep up to my preferred "power" standard when it comes to phone performance.
My last 2 phones, both SD and Exynos variant of S8 fails to keep up with me , even with custom kernel.
I feel like this phone fails to deliver what it promised - and we opt to modify something just to get the better of it - total let down of me,
Im not saying that not all of them are bad, it's just I prefer to have a decent looking phone- decent camera (sorry OnePlus doesn't have this much) - and top of the class hardware performance.
This week, I got iPhone for the first time, and it was XS. Superb performance - camera - but kinda missing the customability but i can live with it.
Thanks XDA and I have learned so much about phone stuff, kernel development, android framework, and even learned creating android applications as well.
This is one of the great experience i have when it comes to learning and giving help - opinions as well.
God bless and more power to XDA!
