Hello,
I have bough a Galaxy S4 I9505 from Vodafone spain which come with CSC ATL and would like to change it to CSC XEF (France).
I download the last rom from SamFirmware but I believe it's not the correct CSC as after flashing the ROM 2 times my phone has switch to UK CSC BLU...
Does any one can provide the French XEF stock ROM so I can go on with correct CSC for France.
Thanks for your help
Yann
EDIT : I also see the ROM in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477 but it's the same link so same trouble

Then either try the other one (it happened the same for me for Luxembourg operators), or try to get the one dedicated for your operator
Finally handle this!
Finally handle this!
So I post the way I solve my problem maybe it can help somebody else.
1. Flash this firmware : I9505XXUAMDF I9505OXXAMD8 (XEF) and get the BTU CSC
2. Root the phone with motochopper (Work with this ROM)
3. Change the CSC using the app Samsung Galaxy S / S2 / S3 CSC
4. Phone reset it self with now chosen CSC
5. Update to last firmware using Kies which recognize the phone with chosen CSC (Lost root but I can't keep it due to professional application on my phone)
Does anyone has a valid link to download this version I9505XXUAMDN ?
Thanks.

If it's the SM-N9005 Unbranded version you can flash the region firmware of your choosing, SO if you go to Sammobile and choose the software for Holland it should have Dutch as language in the settings (right?)
Yes i know, the only problem is that sammobile only has the chinese firmware.
If thay had the dutch firmware i didn't encountered a problem xD.
Still, thanks for your reply and keep thinking ,

Yup - moral of this story. Don't read forums after a nightshift! - - there is some info around on the N9006 - From what I have seen though it isn't that much different to the N9005, so a few tweaks and it should be OK.

Reactivation lock is a security feature where if you lost your phone nobody can factory reset or recover the phone without entering the password. It prevents flashing root or custom recovery when on.
No just continue where you left off.
Just out of curiosity, are you on 4.4.2 before you tried to root and messed up the phone?

Why that blocks? that is the Rom? It is necessary to look for a more powerful Rom? or for anything like that? Either there is a security system which blocks
in Downloading mode I have SECURE DOWNLOAD : ENABLE it's normal?

G900pvpu2bod3
I inderstand where is the probleme but i dont know the solution
My software version is G900PVPU2BOD3, and this Rom is a Factory Reset Protection.
In case you’re wondering what “Factory Reset Protection” actually is, well, it’s a useful security feature in case of device theft. It prevents anyone from resetting your device after being stolen, thereby making it useless for the thief to use.
I thing I must flash my phone with the same ROM "G900PVPU2BOD3" no?

Hey there,
i have a similiar "problem" :
A friend bought a SM-J500G (phillipines) on vacation, because his s6 edge died.
So now he is back in germany and wants me to flash the phone with the german firmware.
But because of the other model-id i can't just simply flash the german md5 file on the phone.
It always brings me the eboot fail with odin.
so, i am not new to flashing custom or stock roms, but i have never worked with models from other countries. Can somebody tell me what to do, to flash a stock rom from a completely other country on this phone ? Or do i need to flash a custom rom first ? Any help would be great.
exact plan : i would like to flash the J500FNXX firmware on the J500GXX phone.
problem : eboot fail while flashing with odin.
thanks in advance,
Harry ( sorry for my bad english, I am from germany )

I can't put J500FN into a J500G phone it just won't flash. Good job or it would have bricked your phone.
You need to get the correct firmware for your phone. Flash that first. Then if you flash recovery TWRP. Then you can flash your custom Rom.
You need to make sure that you have all the CORRECT files downloaded and ready on your pc to start.
If you look around the ROM & KERNEL thread you will find all the links that you need but make sure that you have the correct recovery for the custom Rom or it won't work.
Read the instructions that go with each Rom and it will tell you what you need and provide the links.
When 6.1 first came out it waa for a different country to mine (uk) I used it and had no trouble.
Hope this is of some help ?

Yes, so for now, i have installed a new custom ROM and it runs pretty well. But, i didn't notice, that there's also NO german language setting. ( I don't have a problem with that, but the person, who is the new owner... :/ )
So now I Just need to find a custom ROM for the SM-J500G , which has a german language setting for the whole system and supports the dual-sim-functionality.

I'm pretty sure that you can download a German language for the phone. I can definitely get one for the keyboard
