Has anyone tried both? I have a miracast receiver receiver and it works but it's not great. If I sit on my couch it lags. Near the tv it works perfect. Hd video comes through great but there is an audio delay. I'm tempted to just buy a slimport adapter. Had anyone tried both? My main purpose is to stream movies from my device.

Anyway I can connect Nexus 7 to my monitor like I can with my Note2?
It's not possible right now because the nexus 7 doesn't have miracast support built in to the rom(display over wifi).
Also, it's not possible to do HDMI out to a display because the nexus 7 does not have the hardware to.

This app claims to do it. I have not tried it though.
Hi guys, I got my slim port for the n4 and its working flawlessly except with apps such as xfinity from Comcast.
The app wants me to disconnect the display adapter before it plays a movie! No disconnect = no stream
Help

Comcast doesn't want you to be able to display it on the big screen. It's a drm thing.

i'm debating whether to buy nexus 7 2 or the note 8.
one of the criteria is it must be able to run xbmc.
i know nexus7 2 runs xbmc.
does note 8 runs xbmc?
It runs XBMC great. Plex as well.

So I have a new Sony KDL-40R450A HDTV which has MHL/HDMI ports. What cable or (cable+adapter) should I buy to mirror my Nexus 4 to this particular HDTV?
P.S I'm really new to this smartphone mirroring to HDTV experience.
Thanks in advance.

The Nexus 4 uses Slimport to convert data to HDMI.
Analogix do one and can be found on Amazon.
What about the other manufacturers? I found some at eBay, r those as good as analogix?
I don't have any access to Amazon right now.
