Can someone point me or explain to me how to transfer movies from PC to tablet? What programs do I need?

The N7 mounts as a USB using Windows. Click and drag.

On a windows computer all you have to do is drag them over and drop them in the sd/movies directory on your tablet using windows explorer.
You can also just copy them over over the lan if you are using a file explorer on your table and can access your network.
I used es file explorer's built in FTP server. Turn it on and connect from your computer then copy wirelessly.

If you download a lot, then most formats won't work.
Download vplayer or another media player that will run them once on the device.
Or get an OTG cable to hook flash drives into it and download media import and use it that way.

Handbrake is also a good conversation program and it can it runs on win and mac
A good player is the mx player, it can even play more formats then the stock player and it has subtitle support
VLC player beta just got an update that fixes the random crashes on N7 devices. Been using this ever since

I would purchase a OTG cable, and use any memory stick or external hard-drive you may have.
Put your movies here, and play them from that.
If your rooted use - StickyMount
If not then use - NexusMediaImporter.
Could someone confirm the below,
Stickmount = read n write to USB drive (root)
nexus media importer = read only (non root)
Is that correct?

no idea about media importer but stickmount lets you read and write

That's correct. Latest version of importer supports ntfs which is good if you have a large mkv movie rip.
MX Player seems to work the best for me.

VLC lags a lot if you try to play 1080p video. MX player with hw+ decoder doesn't.

The USB has to be in FAT32 in order for me to write to it right?

I confirm, MX Player with hw+ plays everything perfectly.

MX player with HW+ has played everything I have, smoothly. But I find the standard gallery app more power efficient, so I use that when I can

This app claims to do it. I have not tried it though.
Hi guys. I was wondering if anyone know of any apps or methods on how to stream my media from my phone to XBMC on my raspberry pi?
I was able to do it through HTC Sense gallery app and music app on my Desire HD. It was a pretty handy feature and would like to know how to do through AOSP.
Hopefully someone can shed some light on this topic lol.
Thanks guys

Hi, I'm currently looking forward to to the same.
Best solution I've found yet, is to use Bubbleunpnp.
It doesn't enable you to do mirroring, but you can stream media (photos,videos,etc...).
It works flawlessly for me (N4+Raspbmc), you just have to enable Unpnp in xbmc's settings.
Cheers
Was going to suggest the same. Bubbleupnp is a great piece of kit for streaming phone media to xbmc

Hello, I just got a chromecast and I love it, I just have one problem, I want to use my p500 as a remote and everything seems to be working fine, except for one thing, Netflix, I just don't have the cast button, and the UI is completely different from my tablet, so, is there any way to have Netflix working with the chromecast and the p500?
Thanks

You can try with iMediaShare, or wait to a Netflix update
