What you need:
Root permission required
And file manager with mount o/w as root Explorer or another file manager mer write permission
installation:
1-First make a copy of the two apk. settings.apk and systemUI.apk you can find the apks in the folder system/app and put it on your sd card
2-Then the downloaded apk put you on your USB stick and connect your USB stick to the TV sticken
3-Then navigate to the apks on your USB stick
4-Make a copy
5-And insert it in the folder system/app and overwrite the old apks
6-And reboot
Installation gmail also point 1 to 6
Gmail is in the system/app folder

Hi There,
I don't like stock battery. It's kinda insufficient. I want my battery should show how much is remaining. In percentage wise. so I just modified it.
Few of you guys can have same problem so you can use this.
How to Install?
With any file explorer which has root permission (Root Explorer) push both the file in correct place.
Framework-res.APk in system/framework (Have to replace with original one).
SystemUI.APK in system/apps (Have to replace with original one).
Reboot.

You dont need that framework-res.apk!
Just edit images inside SystemUI.

Just flashed CodeNameAndroid 1.3.2 and it rocks!!! So far feels more stable than icssgs rc4.1... at first. thx to the developer btw. The problem is that the room doesnt come it a file explorer (at leat i dont have one ), so if someone could help me on how to install aps or even on how to install a file explorer i wold apreciate.

Enable USB Debug
In Application Settings enable Unknown Sources
Open Shell/Command Prompt
adb install <A>/<B>.apk
Replace <A> with the path to your APK and replace <B> with the name of the APK file.

There are plenty of third party applications that could get the job done. Just a quick Google search comes up with millions of hits (53,000,000+ to be exact)...

NOTE:
After Downloading, Rename it to bootanimation.zip. [some ROMs may contain its name as htc_bootanimation]
Search in your /system/customize/resource folder by root explorer , ES file explorer for your the appropriate name
After naming its time to push the bootanimation.zip to the targeted folder.

INSTALLATION GUIDE :
1. By ADB
1.1 - adb remount
1.2 - adb push C:\bootanimation.zip /system/customize/resource
1.3 - [C:\bootanimation.zip] This is the location where you stored the bootanimation on computer
1.4 - [/system/customize/resource] This is the target folder
1.5 - adb reboot
1.6 - Done
2. Using ES File Explorer
2.1 - Open Settings , Select Root Explorer and Mount FileSystem as writable
2.2 - Copy the bootanimation.zip file
2.3 - Browse to /system/customize/resource [or the directory where bootanimation is present]
2.4 - Paste bootanimation.zip
2.5 - Reboot
2.6 - Done

Here is my first program : BootMe.
This program allow you to change or backup your bootanimation easily on your phone.
This program is coded in C++ ( ), use adb and should works on any phone which run Android.
INSTRUCTIONS
Just unzip the program and run it.
Then, plug your phone on the computer and activate USB Debugging.
Finally, copy your 'bootanimation.zip' file into the folder 'install' and tape 'install' in BootMe.

Yes, there is a way !!! if you have root explorer, you can just copy your 'bootanimation.zip' into the data/local/ folder of your phone and set the permissions to 644.

This is a small (maybe) guide for changing rom logo in about phone (Settings).
Ok lets get started.
Requirements: x-plore file manager http://www.mediafire.com/download/ze...ox/X-plore.apk
Any photo editor which can conver images into . Png format. ( i use pixler express)
Instructions:
1.First using photo editor convert the photo which u want to use. Make sure the resulution of that image is as low as possible.
2. copy the Settings.apk from system/priv-app to root folder of sdcard.
3. Open x-plore and browse for Settings you copied earlier in second tab (reffer screen shots in 2nd post)and long press on It and select open apk as zip.
4. Goto res/ and browse for the original rom logo and rename your image exactly as original logo.
5. Copy your image into the folder where original logo is.
6. Now you have to sign the moded Settings.apk for that open original Settings.apk as zip from system /priv-app, and copy the meta-inf and android mainfest.xml to moded Settings.apk.
7. Now push your Settings.apk into system /priv-app /Settings.
8 reboot.done
