On the pre-rooted ROM thread there was a question about the camera firmware. When Samsung made the OTA available for the GT-i9505 which contained the update to kernel ME2 there should also be an update for the rear camera firmware. Most users on that thread updated through odin using the pre-rooted ROM. This brought there device tot ME2 kernel. When they did that, there camera firmware is S13F0SAGB39. (check it with *#34971539#).
I did update my device with ODIN by flashing a stock dutch ROM with the newest kernel because my device was from Gemany. My camera firmware has the same version as mentioned above. Now on some dutch forums people mentioned, when they opened the camera after doing the OTA update to ME2, they got the message "updating camera firmware". Those people never used ODIN of something custom. Devices where plain original.
I'm looking for people who are using stock firmware and did the OTA (SO NO UPDATE THROUGH ODIN, OR CUSTOM SOFTWARE WHATSOEVER) to check there camera firmware. I wanna know what firmware people are having when after they did the OTA to kernel ME2.

Hi,
My nexus is not rooted/unlocked, and has the OTA-ERE27 update installed, and has the following version info:
Firmware: 2.1-update1
Baseband version: 32.19.00.16U_4.02.02.14
Is this radio image old? I've read that the OTA should provide 4.03.00.21_2, if this is correct any idea why I don't have it?
Thanks
My version is
Firmware: 2.1-update1
Baseband version: 32.24.00.22U_4.03.00.21_2

Does anyone know what the stock rom is for this device in the UK, i want to flash it back to its original state thanks.
That makes two of us!
I believe it is XXJF3

If you want to really return it to stock state, you will also need to get your operator's CSC file (notoriously hard to obtain). The XXsomething files are just generic, the same for all devices in a region.
You guys are really nut heads .. U dont know that u have to check your version before you install new ROM's ?
First check your firmware *#1234#
I think this is the one. I googled it for ya..

Hi,
I have some problems with my unbranded Omnia 7 device:
-digital compass doesn't work
-no hidden wifi handler
-connection problems during calls
I think that this problems are due to the firmware version and drivers (very old).
This is my situation:
PDA: I8700XXJK1
PHONE: I8700XXKB2
CSSC: I8700DBTJK1
SO: 7.10.7720.68
Firmware: 2424.10.11.1
Hardware: 3.15.0.4
Radio SW: 2424.11.2.2
Radio HW: 0.0.0.800
Bootloader: 5.2.1.4
SOC: 0.36.2.0
I have tried to solve these problems with a hard reset and restoring old backup... but nothing has changed.
Well, at least you're not alone having ancient firmware.
I've got
Firmware: 2424.11.1.1
Radio SW: 2424.11.1.1
Bootloader: 4.1.0.5
I have problems with bluetooth connectivity which got introduced immediately after an upgrade. My immediate reaction was to suspect a firmware/software incompability, and thought everything would be corrected with a firmware upgrade (which seems to take forever to appear). My phone is unbranded, seems to be a bit unclear if and when these devices will have firmare upgrade... How about yours... unbranded?
Hi,
thank for your replay.
Yes, I'have a unbranded phone from Germany.
PDA: I8700XXJK1

I want to try to send it to the samsung assistance and say to them: " Hei, my digital compass doesn't work! please fix it with a firmware/driver update! "
