With 2.1-update1 (Eclair maybe?)
But I keep hearing these 'JM1 and 2 or even JMX)
Can someone please explain what these are?
And which JM will Froyo be? (2.2 right?)
P.S Yes, I'v searched the forums & Google.
Thanks guys.

Hi,
Things like JF3, JPC, JM1 etc are just the codes (names) of different versions of firmware.
The Codes dont really mean anything in particular and they dont seem to follow any locical order.
There allready a couple of leaked unofficial 2.2 Froyo roms out there (namely JPC and JPH)
What the final official release will be called is anyones guess,
hope that helps,
the codes often mean year-month-release, eg. JF1:
J=10 (2010)
F=6 (June)
1=first release of that month
I don't know what the significance of the 'M' releases are. Are they all unofficial ones?
JM1 is the first official update for the UK
Hi i ive not used my nexus s for six months, on restarting it it upgraded to 2.3.6 but not ICS , my mates has does anyone know how to get it so it will update to that
thanks in advance
Lee
What device do you have? Official ICS was not rolled out to all Nexus variants. If your model is not within those, then you will have to manually install a custom ROM.
Ive sorted it, i had one of the first ones, so ive downloaded manually cant believe how easy it was
After the ICS upgrade what should my version number be? Several weeks back I loaded a leaked version of the ICS on my tablet. A few days ago I was looking around for a stock ROM in hopes of being back at stock so that I might receive the upgrade. Whew! There are a lot of versions out there. I chose one that looked the newest and applied it with no real problems.
Looking at my setting I show:
Kernel 2.6.39.4+
Image version Acer_AV041_A500_RV16RB02_WW_Gen1
Build number Acer_AV041_A500_0.009.00_WW_Gen1
Is this the latest version?
Also, I assume under device info "Device Info Version 1" means I'm Gen 1?
Thanks.

J4 should be the newer version since mine came with ANIE and provides an update (not updated yet).
Hi,
a few weeks ago I tried to root my Galaxy A5 (A520F).
But I forgot to turn on OEM unlock.
Then I installed Lineage OS (official built) with TWRP.
I never liked Lineage OS, but it was the easiest to install.
I realized that my sim didn't work and when I looked in the settings app, I saw that my Baseband and Model Number was missing.
I installed the stock ROM that I downloaded from SamMobile (A1 Austria / MOB), but it still didn't work.
Then I decided to install HADES ROM (I never heard of it until that day), but it still didn't show up any Baseband or Model Number.
Then I went to a guy that is very famous for repairing phones in our city.
After a week I got my phone back, but even he couldn't repair it.
I tried it again myself but after a few days I gave up and bought a Honor Play.
My question is:
Is it possible to bring back the Baseband and Model Number (without a box)?
If yes, then please let me know I would try everything.
Thank you!
( sorry for my bad english )

Flash RIL fix for your device after flashing a custom rom. Or get the correct stock firmware from sammobile, flash it via odin, and voilla, your baseband and model number will be back If you want more detailed guide, just reply and ask me.
