Welcome to the unofficial CyanogenMod 10.1 nightlies
CyanogenMod 10.2 nightlies available (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2450358).
The release schedule for 10.1 is weekly now.
The releases will co-inside and the build start time is at 03:01 UTC every sunday night and should be uploaded soon after. If at anytime the builds are not there, then there was a problem building the ROM, and we will have a look at it ASAP.
These builds are compiled from the latest CyanogenMod repos and device repos on device, kernel and vendor files and are based on the awesome work by jcsullins and Dorregaray.
And as always: I take no responsibility whatsoever for raging, screaming, crying, frustration, failing, confusion, dead kittens, etc.

YES! Thanks to all who have made this possible. :good:
Excellent work, thank you very much! For now I simply can not work without bluetooth, but I'll keep an eye on the progress of those nightlies :laugh:
Never have thought there is a nightly build CM10.1 for tp, greeeeeeeeeeeeet job!
wonderful news. Since it's CM, I can use cyandelta so I dont have to download the full file for every nightly.

it should... it worked for CM 9 nightlies for the touchpad.
I may just have to switch to this just for the nightlies. I'm already on another CM10.1 ROM but its moving slow and my TouchPad needs some flashing. lol

But those were official.
For those not aware, this version of Jelly Bean requires the 20130301 Gapps.
goo manager
missed the goo specific defines. included them here: https://github.com/milaq/android_de...mmit/9da64383e0634b7a4b34a3085dd6915d91484b07
from tonights build on, they're properly included thus allowing autoupdate via goo manager.
cheers
@milaq
Great job in laying out the OP. You've made it very easy to see not only general commits but device specific as well. In addtion, with your direct links to the nightlies and proper gapps, you've made it virtually fool-proof...hopefully.
Thanks to all involved.

@milaq,
Waiting for my install to complete as I write this. I looked at your issue tracker link and see no issues posted. What I am wondering and I'm sure a million other users is what issues exist right out of the gate. Could you give us a general rundown and your impressions of how you think this rom is working. I want to also complement you on taking on this unforgiving task of producing a nightly. Your OP looks great. You are going to make a lot of TouchPad users very happy.
OK, the install is complete. I installed over the top of J.C.'s CM10 along with the 20130301 Gapps. So far, everything is where it is supposed to be. All apps, data and settings are there and it booted right up without a glitch. looks great.
I even managed to remember the little secret of tapping the build number under settings/about tablet to get Developer Options to appear in settings.
I'll be back to report after running it through it's paces. Thank you, and all that contributed to this effort!
P.S. Did notice one thing, the battery stats under settings/battery is missing. J.C. had accidentally added it to his 0418 rom and it is really helpful in tracking what apps are using the battery.
For those new to CM10.1, I found out from trying out a couple of others, that to get the WiFi sleep to behave properly, one needs to go to settings/WiFi/advanced and take the check out of WiFi optimization.
thanks for setting this up. i was really hoping to see a nightly for our touchpads. goo manager really has me spoiled
Can we merge "status bar" with "Navi Bar"? Currenly, Navi Bar on bottom and Status Bar on top.
ROM runs fine and works well for few hours now. Will see. Thanks for all efforts.

i dont like that. i was never keen on it, and its not how stock 4.2 android is now, or cyanogenmod. i believe aokp is like that, you can always find a rom that is that... theres lots of them.
Nevertells,
I be waiting for your account of the ROM... Make it good..

Get your latest CNA fix there.
This topic is now officially (get it?) dead.
Since no official topic for CNA 1.4.0 has opened, I want to share their latest build.
It has the fixed RIL issues many are looking for.
I do not claim any involvement in the development of the ROM, I'm just a guy who setup a build environment, downloaded the source code and compiled.
As such : treat it as a NIGHTLY, this is NOT an official release so expect no support from me or the devs.
It's just a basic compile so be sure to know EXACTLY what you're doing before flashing.
Code:
ro.build.date=Tue Feb 21 18:26:48 CET 2012
ro.modversion=Codename-Android-(MOD)-1.4.0-GalaxyS
I can recommend flashing another kernel as the original had a tendency to bootloop in the past. But you don't need to listen to me of course.
21/2: http://www.mediafire.com/?rbbh36drchehigt
Edit: Apparently it also has the external SD card fix
26/2: I noticed several changes in their code: mostly kernel, bin, xbin. I compiled again. I'm running the default kernel for now.
http://www.mediafire.com/?81ciaepocyo6wp6
27/2: I've flashed another kernel as the included one caused a dialer wakelock, draining the battery, as well as two reboots.
2/03 : Uploaded another compile

This could be the last one if I read the grapevine correctly.

This has nothing to do with the Asnet release right? It was stopped because it contained a pay-app.
I want to try this one, but only if I harm nobody's income.

Same procedure as usual?
Which kernel is included here?
1) wipe cache & data/factory reset
2) flash zip
3) reboot phone and wipe again?

As far as I know, the kernel is the standard CM9 one.
But you may want to try another ICS rom from in the development section first...

I upgraded from Dax' release to this one without wipe and everything works fine.
RIL and external SD card issues have been solved.
The only thing that didn't work (didn't show up in the app list) was the Galaxy S Settings (AriesParts.apk), so I copied the one from Dax to /system/app and then it worked.

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.
*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Known Issues as of 9/24:
Mediascanner eats lots of CPU for a while, even on devices with not many files (e.g. is even worse than normal for JB mediascanner, which is derpy as hell to begin with) - Solution, set your screen to stay on when charging (also in Developer Options) and wait for it to stop being pegged. Once mediscanner has finished you should be fine until the next reboot
(9/15) 5 GHz region handling is now fixed - Change the region/country setting in Settings->Wifi->Advanced
(9/24) Netflix and gralloc memory leak now fixed, we now have semi-working Project Butter thanks to I9300 JB.

Both devices are going to be supported as I have the N1000, and Entropy512 has the N8013.
Entropy is working on the first preview for the N8013 just now.
Only difference is that the N8000 has phone and 3G support. So anything that the N8013 supports, the N8000 will support etc.

Yeah, will be a bit. My first build was bogus - I really want to try to use the smdk4412 kernel tree to leverage I9300 commonality, however, it appears that unlike n7000, "kernel that builds" is not "kernel that boots".
So I'm rebuilding using espenfjo's kernel tree which is based on the N80xx source drops.

It's planned, since it's 99% identical to N8013 it's one of the few devices we feel comfortable blind-developing for.
I want to get the N8000/13 trees a bit more stable before starting N8010 though... For example, right now, any recovery I build crashes during backup.
Nice work man! :good: i have been waiting for this since the release!!!
Really looking forward to CM on GN 10.1 as I love the intuitiveness and it'll be ideal to have consistency across multiple different devices.

I believe the xx13 units have an IR blaster, xx10 don't
Figured out the cause of my recovery crashes - it wasn't a recovery problem, I had a corrupted system partition. This seems to be even more common on this device than the N7000.
If I format /system everything is fine, but if I flash a stock image in Odin, it's unhappy. I'm attempting to deodex stock so I can just back up a deodexed stock image instead.

A question for you, where did you learn to build ROMs for the HP touchpad? I've been googleing how to set up a build environment on Ubuntu, which I've nearly completed but then all guides on building cm10.1 (for example) only cover supported devices of which the Touchpad isn't.... I can't find much with Google at least on Touchpad specific ROM building.

This is hands down the best guide for setting up your build environment. Its okay to be on 13.04 as well, you might just have some unmet dependantcies you need to install. You'll likely be told you are holding broken packages and will need to meet the dependencies before you can install the other packages.
sudo apt-get install gcc
sudo apt-get install g++
After following that guide you should be set up to build.
Building for unsupported devices depends on the ROM you are trying to create. Basically you just need to follow the file paths in your local repository until you find something out of place or missing, then fix it.
You can see my githib at github.com/cdmoncrieff where you can see some of the commits I made to build for AOKP to get an idea of the process. There is also a short build-instructions repo with a few details of the process for 4.2.2. If you have any questions, which if you are going to try building, I will be glad to help
I still need more posts before links, here's another!
OK that's great I will take a look, the main problem for me at the moment is time. I'm currently using Ubuntu 12.10 I'm hoping to at least compile cm9 or cm10 to start with as they are pretty much fully operational. SGA's efforts with 4.2 and yours have inspired me to have ago. I guess the battery life is the main item that needs work in 4.2.2 and working out how to get Bluetooth working. What are your plans? Do you intend to try to improve on the current builds?

I've looked at your github and there are some useful changes in there I may move over to my rom. I just started getting phantom touches in one corner so I'll try out the ts_srv.c change. I might try the system tunings to system.prop, why did you choose those changes?
Why did you disable backuptool in tenderloin_ota_from_target_files? It is what keeps your gapps when you flash. Does it cause you some problems? I find it works just fine.
good job on the rom.
By the way, the camera driver is consuming lots of power (90mA sleep) so I reverted those three commits. The camera doesn't work but I'm down to 19 and I hope to get back to 4. (it's in my new branch c10.1, I'm still new at git so I left my old tree with camera for those who want it and a new tree with it reverted for me.)
Keep up the good work.
I make this ROM based on Shendu2.0,fix some bugs,and a little change.Everything works well,so it's better than CM9 I released two days ago.

1.New GPU driver,fix some game pictures&livewallpapers error
2.Change the Shendu UI to original ICS style(for stability issue,have no change of framework)
3.Latest RootExplorer and NOVA launcher are built-in,more smooth
4.Some other little mod
The only Bug:
When use loudspeaker,sometimes a little noise
Everything is perfect except loudspeaker noise,more free RAM,about 200+,you can enjoy multi-tasks with abandon.

7.13 update&fix bugs
There is a phone call problem in the ROM yesterday I released,so I fix it quickly.If anybody got trouble with that,I have to apologize,forgive me,it's an accident we all don't want.Now you can download the new pack or patch to make everything well.
I still can't post outside links,so I write the link into a txt.Sorry about that
Patch here(Just a phone.apk,I think everybody should know how to replace it,so I don't make it a flashed zip)

Can't agree more!:good:
Room looks nice and good. "Mount USB" option is not coming when connected to laptop via usb cable. Only "USB Debugging enabled" notification is shown. Please check.

I still didnt try the rom myself. But just suggesting. Go to Storage then Preaa menu button and try settings. There should be one option to Mount usb. I remember a similar problem in FrozenPika cm10.

Bootloop on gapps flash
Tried this gapps from the below link. After the flash and reboot, goes on a bootloop ( not exactly bootloop where in Huawei logo keeps appearing, the CM9 boot animation is in the foreground, but think something keeps getting looped in logcat ).
http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
Then checked cynaogenmod site , where they refer to flash the below gapps from CM9,
http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120317-signed.zip
Can anybody confirm that my problem is due to the wrong gapps flash only. Because both of them say, the package is for ics .
Thanks.
no no no !!! should be flash the zip as the phone.apk does not install correctly
Sorry for the interruption, I had to do a little thread cleaning. Please refrain from swearing or [email protected] or sw***ing and remember this is a development thread.

Currently am on this amazing ics rom from bbs.anzhi.com. With moderate use, and with both data (2G), wifi on all the time, gives me 2 days battery backup. Also the best performance, multi-tasking that i have seen for a ics rom.

what gapps to use with this rom, the above 2 gapps mentioned by me gives bootloop. I think there is soem problem with gapps flash with this rom. Which is why i raised this before. But nobody acknowledged that, and now i had to flash it thrice and still the same problem This will make me hesitant to do another flash of this. Can pm the logcat, if somebody needs it. Thanks.

Just point to the Google Plus page... Thanks

No prob. Glad you like it.
I miss gapps from banks. But this is a good news. Is forced encryption on or disabled? Which gapps are recommended here?
Why miss??? :silly:
They exist! Or the 64bit Gapps ... both worked splendidly for me!

I miss the 64bit from him. Thanks anyway.
Is forced encryption on or is it disabled?
Wrong forum.
Request moved to sub forum.
forced encryption is off
This rom is really nice. It could have its own customization menu, add they are under Display menu, but still is fine. I have some problems with gapps, so I am trying the 64bit version.
And RRO/Layers Builds from Aldy ... ? SimpleAOSP ftw !!!
Just a warning people, franco kernel and Fire Ice kernel causes system UI crash, so don't bother with those. Their g+ page says elementalx kernel is compatible, maybe I'll try that later.
Edit: Fire Ice K6 test6+ works

Sorry, I guess I should have reported it to you first hand. I think it's because of layers. Their g+ page might say why most kernels won't work.

I used K5. First I flashed franco and got system ui crashes. I went to recovery and flashed k5 and got the same thing. I reflashed the rom and the ui crashes went away. I figured it was the kernels doing that because people were reporting similar behaviors with other kernels on g+
