SMS/MMS info gone. - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I figured this could happen to any custom flashed rom, but since the Omega rom thread is overrun I assumed, me having this problem alone will go unseen.
My problem is that the information normally showing at the lockscreen and the pulldown menu is gone. All it says is "Messaging New message", nothing about who the sender is or the text in the message.
Has anyone come across this problem before and might have an idea on how to solve it?
Regards.

HD2 don't send SMS

Hi, i flashed Laurentius Ultimate Power ROM and my HD2 is not sending sms now. If i write some sms and send it, sms is in outbox folder, but never will be sent. If i choose "retry send" options on unsent message, nothing happen. Message stay in outbox folder. I tryied restart phone, but i cant still send sms. I am not sure, that HR will help me. In sms settings i have "Delivery" set on "immediate". Have you some advice to me, where can be problem?
Thanks, Q.
Two options: Search for the same topic inside the forum (there are quite a few threads about this), or ask in the L26 ROM thread, maybe others have the same issue, too.
Get the latest sms function update from htc website.

Help me i cant send sms text messagess

You will need to explain a bit more. What app are using to send the text - the stock one of chomp or handcent? How are the problems showing up? Can you type the SMS and when you try to send it does not go? Or are you not able even to type?

Having issues with Gmail

i had to Nandroid the other day. im on stock rooted EVO rom. i noticed i tried to send an email and it is stuck on sending status. In fact, it doesnt send. I recieve email with no problem, but if i check it on my phone, it does not sync up with my desktop gmail. im thinking something is wrong with the outgoing service... has anyone else had this issue? any ideas on how to fix?
hmm, i seemed to have found a fix... went to manage app's and force stopped, cleared data, and cache. syncing is back in order... hope this helps someone in the future.
Had the same thing happen to me recently. I tried force closing and reopening, but that didn't help...didn't try wiping the cache.
I did find another workaround that helps:
Issue 2565: GMail: message stuck on "Sending..."
Comment 8 by travis.swanston, Aug 09, 2010
WORKAROUND TO THIS ISSUE:
This is somewhat labor-intensive if you have a lot of stuck messages, but it worked perfectly for me:
1. Open "outbox".
2. Open thread with stuck message.
3. Reply to the first message in the thread, but when it presents you with the reply window, simply save the empty message as a "draft".
4. Back out of "outbox", and enter "drafts".
5. Open the appropriate thread. Instead of the draft you just created, it will instead open the first stuck message as a draft. From here, I think you can do whatever you want - either discard or send. If there is more than one stuck message in this thread, simply keep opening the thread in "drafts" - and each time it will move you to the first remaining stuck message in that thread. When you finally make your way down to the (empty) draft you just created, you can simply discard that.
6. Repeat this process for all stuck messages in the threads in "outbox".

SMSC update error

Hi everyone,
Im new in i9505 forum
So I've one problem with my new SGS4. I cant send any sms. Tried to fix it by setting SMSC number in messaging app, but when I try to save it, toast message shows me update error. Temporary fixed it by installing GO SMS PRO, but how to fix it permanent?
Any one knows where it is stored? Database or where?
