[Q] Any way to pair a Revue keyboard to the OUYA? - Ouya General

I'm just wondering because I hate my Revue but love it's keyboard. I would like to use it on my OUYA. I read up on it some & think that you'd need a "Unity USB" and possibly software. Is this even possible?

get that instead. The logitech revue keyboard uses it's own wireless signal and probably would be near impossible to actually set up.

Using that same keyboard currently on the Ouya for web browsing and XBMC and I am disappoint. While the mini receiver is plugged into the Ouya the console acts up not registering game pad button presses and just generally acting glitchy. So bad that I need to unplug it when I want to game.

I used a Logitech wireless mouse and the USB unified receiver to setup nova and do some installs, but didn't try gaming. It did register as a controller though, because the actual controller shows up as 2

Yes you can use the Revue KB. Just buy the Unity USB and download the K700 software from logitech.com and your done. You will be able to use it anywhere. I use it on the G-box Mx-2 Midnight. The Revue KB K700 is also smaller than the K400 KB.

So the K700 software from logitech.com is able to be installed on the OUYA?
Edit: I couldn't find a software download on the Logitech website. Here's a screenshot

Not as nice as you're thinking, since the trackball is actually just over a dpad. It only registed up down left and right, not any diagonals.
GMote lets you use your touch screen as a touchpad for your computer, try it out, I use it to control Hulu Desktop.

Can you actually hook up a real hardward keyboard to your hd2?

I was wondering if you could connect a real keyboard to your hd2 to use for programs such as word or one note.
Any info?

i would imagine maybe blutooth? not sure if it would require drivers though... search google...
Heres a thread on Bluetooth keyboards: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583553&highlight=diNovo
I can confirm that my Logitech diNovo Mini works on the HD2, just simply pair it up and it works a treat. Its a pricey method, but I didn't buy the keyboard originally for the HD2

Yup yup, I use mine on occasion with the HD2, it's not exactly portable but it does the job!
I use this one sometimes if writing a long email or word doc. it's a bluetooth keyboard but folds up nice and small

Use MyMobiler to link your HD2 to your PC via the USB cable and you can use your PC's keyboard to type things on to your HD2.

I paired my Logitech Dinovo Edge to my HD2, just for fun.
For portability I use a Stowaway bluetooth.

[Q] keyboard and touchscreen as mouse for remote controlling pc? >not remote desktop<

[Q] keyboard and touchscreen as mouse for remote controlling pc? >not remote desktop<
Hello,
I'm a total noob regarding to software for WM6.5, but i wondered, is there some kind of program that allows me to use my phone's keyboard and touchscreen as keyboard / mouse for my desktop? Would be nice for my plasma tv with desktop connected to it..
Thanks in advance.
Bouke
I use this
I use GRemote. It's a client-server program. One part runs on your PC, the other on your WM or Android phone. I think there's a free and a Pro version, not sure, might just be the paid version (which I have) and it's *AWESOME*, I use it just like you'd mentioned - I have my PC hooked up to my HDTV as a HTPC/media center, and I can use my phone as a trackpad, air/gyro mouse, hardware keyboard, media remote, generic remote, and gyro joystick/racing wheel/etc for gaming. It can connect over WiFi or BT. I don't want to sound like I'm going to marry it or anything but it is a pretty awesome program. The media remote functions work with Winamp, WMP, XBMC, VLC, others.
EDIT: Sorry, got so hot and bothered talking about the program, forgot to mention the website. It's at gbmsoftware dot com.

Keyboard + mouse for games?

I just paired my bluetooth keyboard and mouse to my N7. I should have tried this sooner. It's an awesome experience.
Is there a way to play games like Dead trigger using the keyboard and mouse like a PC FPS game?
Curious - Which keyboard and mouse are you using?
Im curious too how could i use my keyboard and mouse as gamepad, in dead trigger all i can do is move with WASD buttons.
when i try to customize gamepad in settings. but i cant change anything from the defaults.. and that is frustrating.
Phon eis SGS3 mouse is microsoft bluetooth notebook mouse 5000 and keyboard is microsoft bluetooth mobile keyboard 6000.
Its really awesome using my xbox controller with onlive and any other game that supports it. I would love a true list of games that support different inputs.

This app should do the trick. Need root though. I haven't tried it myself yet but looks awesome. I wish there was a way for devices with hdmi out to actually turn off the tablet while playing on a large screen

check this video out of someone mapping it for a fps:

I'd like to hear someone's review specifically for a fps and how well the mouse handles. It doesn't look like he has the sensitivity that high and I'm not sure if it can be set so you can do a quick-flick 180's.
anyone get it working?

I used ShareKM and then, for dead trigger, this is the default weird configuration :
1) Directional keys to move around.
2) I,k,j,l to look around.
3) a,d to switch weapons.
4) 7 to use ironsight, 8 to reload and 9 to fire.
Too bad cant change the configuration of this. Also, I seem to have some trouble using the new app "TinCore Mapper".

[Q] Remote Desktop "Mouse Mode"

I am looking for a remote desktop solution, like LogMeIn or TeamViewer that doesn't require me to do any detailed configuration.
The problem is that LogMeIn, for example, won't treat my Note 3 phone as a tablet, so I can't use the mouse like a normal mouse. (The settings for mouse are "move mouse" and "move screen", but there is no direct mode available for phones to use a mouse like a regular mouse.)
My device is a Verizon Android 4.4 KitKat Samsung Note 3 phone (unfortunately rooting is not an option for me), and I am using it with the Note 2 dock with an external monitor and wireless usb keyboard/mouse. Everything works great except I can't find a good remote desktop solution that will allow me to work "normally" in terms of the mouse.
I also have Win 8 Home version on my desktop PC and do not want to configure port forwarding and a fixed ip to solve rotating external IP address assignments. (Please excuse me if I didn't say that correctly, but the point is that I really don't want to deal with those kinds of complexities.) Yes, I realize that I may have too many constraints - don't want configuration challenges (which I think rules out VNC or standard RDP), and also no rooting of the phone. But I am willing to pay a small monthly subscription, e.g. I looked at PocketCloud with $5/month, but that doesn't seem to support my requirement either from a quick look at the manual.
Is there anyone who can suggest a good solution for my needs?
Have you tried the google remote desktop? It's free. I've been pretty impressed with it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I hadn't thought about that because it was relatively new. But I may try it (after some more reading). Unfortunately, it doesn't look good for external mouse support. Here's one review...
Review from Jim Fox
Great, but no external mouse support I have been using Splashtop for a while now, but was super excited to use this when I saw it come on the play store. The problem I have is that when I take remote control of my computer, I use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. The program works like a trackpad to control the remote mouse with touch, which is great when you don't have an external mouse, but makes it near impossible to control when you do. You have to hold the right mouse button down in order to move the remote mouse and then click with the left. Near impossible to use. Please fix.

On the other hand, the comments make me wonder if I should try LMI and TV again with an external trackpad instead of a mouse. I wonder if that behavior might be better?
