You could flash the pre rooted stock rom from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250824

I rooted my mdm version with the following method:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255190
You'll have to use the MODIFIED CF_AUTO_ROOT. Read chainfires thread for instructions.
If you follow the steps then this will work
Good luck sir!

Hey.
Iam waiting for kitkat to be released for my region and i wonder if I can instead use mobile Odin Pro to update? I just hate to connect to my pc.
Rooted mk2 9005
Thank you
Umm, sure I have seen that it can be done, there's a post somewhere on XDA with it.
Searched forums with taptalk didn't find it?
This is the thread for updating via MOP, from what I can gather updating to KK is similar, except you have to update the BL. Have a read through the last few pages it should be there I think.
It's post #488 in the above mentioned thread, that has the step by step guide. But you have to be fully rooted before which can't be done on the MK2 bootloader.
I'm stuck on the MK2 bootloader with no root.

I mean to root the MK2 with knox 0x0. Is this possible?

Not currently possible no, I would be bold enough to say I don't think it;ll be achieved on JB, however, it's possible it may indeed happen on KK. But it seems just as locked down especially with this new NA6 BL
Hi
I just got my NOTE 3, it was already rooted with SUPER SU, and region lock free with Region Lock Away
Android 4.3
Kernel 3.4.0-1628120
Baseband Version N9005XXUBMI5
Build JSS15J.N9005XXUBMJ1
Questions that I have
How do I get updates? it seems OTA is not allowed, and installed kies and same issue not possible
I have checked in SAM mobile and for my country I have the fw available N9005VJUBMI7 , how do I install this fw? Can I just use Mobile ODIN ?
I appreciate your response..

Yes you can odin it, i suggest doing it through ODIN and not the mobile version. You'll have to re-root after

If KNOX is still 0x0, and you want to keep that, you MUST use Mobile Odin. With Odin and CF root KNOX will become 0x1.

It is 0x1, so it would be just Mobile Odin, or Odin and I should have no major issues moving to N9005VJUBMI7 ?
Once Kit Kat becomes available, would be the same?
Thanks Again

The update process should be flawless. If you want, you can also flash polish firmware and have kit kat today, then you can flash a rom like X-Note 10. But if you just want to stay stock rooted, use ODIN to flash stock firmware and re-root afterwards

Thanks, I was still doing some research as I have seen some comments regarding current KK, having lots of bugs..
But for my future reference, I would just download KK and flash it with odin as well?, what about the X-Note ROM, i will need to do some research on this one, but if you can point me on some references will be great to start, as well of know issues, or downsides of this ROM

It's the same phone! The bootloader has nothing to do with anything, its only relevant when we talk about upgrading and downgrading. The guy just wants to upgrade to KK, he can go in xnote thread and there are instructions for the upgrade, and in case you didnt know, xnote is designed for 9005 and W8 is not officially supported, so next time you try to open your little piehole, do your research first

I unrooted my G900T (previously rooted via Towelroot V2) using SuperUser so that I could update my firmware via Kies (OTA kept failing every time regardless of being unrooted). Now I'm unsupported by Towelroot... T_T

You can root using cf-root method be chainfire even if you are on the latest firmware
but be carefull it will trip knox and void your warrenty
if you dont want this you have to wait an update for towlroot to be able to root the latest firmware
I dont think towelroot will be updated seeing as geo works at google now...

Ah yeah, I was using towelroot precisely because I didn't want to void knox. Blah! I've only had it rooted for less than 2 months, so I haven't really done much to have it bother me anyway.

Or you could do a forum search and stumble across better options.
No need to wait for a towel root update.
The latest update may block the Towel root exploit.. but you can still use Odin to install a pre-update version of your stock firmware and [drum roll], towel root will work again. And no Knox increment.
Samsung may eventually add another qfuse to block this method, but for now it works well. You need to revert to a pre June 3rd build of your stock 4.4.2 S5 software to do this.
.

Oh, I updated my Note using MOP and still running Kitkat Bootloader.
and I guess, Once bootloader is updated to Lollipop, then downgrade to Kitkat isn't possible.
If you try to downgrade you may get stuck in bootloop or null IMEI.

Well,
Apart from Bootloader, it is possible to downgrade from lollipop to kitkat without issues. (I can confirm because i have done this before).
My question was if I updated to lollipop and downgrade to kit kat again will the new bootloader trip knox to 0x1 when trying to root ?

No it won't trip Knox unless you flash something which is not officially signed from Samsung. Or unless you play with kernel and recovery.
@tahim. Download Samsung Phone Info app from playstore which shows all details of Note 3.
Thanks to @vndnguyen for this app.
