So, when I turn on the bluetooth and connect it to anything, like headset or stereos, speakers, there is some wifi drops every 10 seconds or less which is so annoying, cant watch a youtube video or browse easy and everything is ruined, so how to fix that? And is that only me? Im rooting my phone next week, cause that was a replacement and on my old nexus 4 never used bluetooth after 7 months , so dunno if i had that on my old nexus 4 or not.

I have the same issue, when you use Bluetooth it interferes the 2.4GHz radio waves created via WiFi chip, 5GHz works fine on WiFi with Bluetooth on.

Sorry im not good at these hardware stuff, but how can i change it? Is it in the router settings or inside the phone, thanks!

Unfortunately that is where the problem comes in, I am not sure if it is hardware or software which is causing the issue.
If you want to keep connection on WiFi with Bluetooth then for now you have to use a Wireless Router which supports 5GHz (to enable support on Nexus 4 go to settings, WiFi, advanced and then Wi-Fi frequency band which will show up a list, choose "Auto" for 5GHz and 2.4GHz).

It's not fixed when I receive a call in my car the n4 drops wifi. And that was the main reason for getting a wifi router in my car. I'm on 4.3 My galaxy Nexus does not have that problem. This needs to be fixed soon.
I dunno, its fixed since i flashed the 4.3 paranoid android rom, and google support sent an email saying that its fixed in android 4.3 and they said that cause i called them several times because of that issue, Ive never had this issue on my gnex, but I had the gnex when it was on 4.1.2, i heard that its a bug in 4.2.

Hey all, I have the WiFi only 8gb model and just as of recently it cannot connect to WiFi AP's. It has the ability to see signal strength of AP's but the WiFi icon in the status bar remains empty an and it can't authenticate to either the home router or my phone as a hotspot.
NFC is off, device is rooted, tried wiping everything, no gaps cracks or bumps in back cover, etc...
Anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks

Try using WPA/WPA2 PSK encryption is you are not already using encryption.
What's changed? Now ROM? New router? New software installed?

Nothing, I haven't used it since July 4th. Now visiting my patents and it won't work with either AP. Unless it got damaged on the flight out but it was with me the whole time.
Also yes both are encrypted with WPA2.

Here are my specs:
Phone
16gb galaxy s4
At&t
Not rooted
Touchwiz
Android 4.2
MF3 baseband
Router
Apple airport extreme
Auto channels
WPA password protected
I have seen some threads with the s4 running slow on dlink WiFi, but I have an airport extreme base station at home. My phone rings perfectly on 4g/LTE, but nothing seems to work on Wi-Fi. YouTube is slow as hell, play store takes forever to load. A few weeks ago, everything was working great over Wi-Fi too, so I wanted to ask if anyone else is currently having this issue?
My wife's iPod touch works fine on the same Wi-Fi, as well as a thinkpad and macbook air.
I've already tried disabling Wi-Fi power saving mode, but haven't touched any other settings. Any thoughts on what to do? I was thinking about taking it to best buy and switching out the phone, maybe a bad phone? (Not likely because it was working fine a few weeks ago)

Try adding your device to the DMZ. If that fails, get rid of the Apple junk. ;P

I'm interested in any option that doesn't require me to buy another router. Like I said, wifi working fine for everything else. I appreciate your suggestion, but I'd love to hear other options or approaches.

Aaaaaaand back to 1 mbps with "network errors"
I just upgraded my n7100 to 4.3 and the wifi bug (slows down after a while in standby) is STILL present! Is there a reason why this is never fixed?
I have tried with CM10.2 and that bug is not there.
I have same issue on 4.4.2 omnirom. So annoying.

I think that, this affects only specific models. I have wifi always on, connecting to different networks through the day and no issue, no slowdowns and great range. Maybe you should see an service center.

I had it on 4.1.2 but not on this one. In fact I didn't use Wifi because of that and the huge battery drain. I can now use it again ase both problems seem to be solved

Maybe it has to do with the internet router?! I had the same issue with galaxy s3 a year ago. But i have changed routers aswell so it has to be a combination of router bands/model/speed etc.
But since it works with CM10.2 custom rom, it is likely the wifi drivers on the phone that is somewhat incompatible with my kind of router...
You know that you have a option in wifi defenicions to switch between networks if wifi is weak

That is switching from wifi and mobile data... The problem is not weak wifi signal.

I know.....I solve the probleme with that. .for some reason the wifi is weak for 'code' and then switch.....tell me when u disable that feature
