In some of the feature listings for the Galaxy S4, I've seen "Additional Display Support" listed. In a side-by-side comparison with the GS III, it was listed as a feature for both phones.
What does "Additional Display Support" mean?
I downloaded the S4 user manual from the AT&T Wireless website, and the phrases "additional display" and "display support" do not appear in that document. Google searches for [ samsung "additional display support" ] only hit pages that list that as a feature in a bullet list, with no explanation of what it means.
Thanks in advance...
All share cast? Screen mirroring..?

NOTE: I can't post this in the correct forum because I don't have enough posts yet.
EDIT: This was supposed to be in the "Samsung Galaxy S III I9300" forums not the "Galaxy Note II" :S
The S3 has a custom launcher which allows you to double tap the home button and launch an app.
Currently there are 5 apps that appear for me to choose from when I do this on the phone I am testing: Assistant, Robin, S Voice, Vlingo, Vlingo InCar.
Does anyone know how I can list my app with these "personal assistants"? I can't figure out the intent I should be listening to.
Thanks!
So basically when I tap and hold a picture to select a picture I always get annoying voice that says "the picture is currently checked" and "the picture is currently unchecked" I checked in settings but I cant find a way to disable this. Anyone have any ideas?
Look in settings> my device>accessibility >talkback

Is it when you select pictures in the Gallery (put a green check mark on it)? I just selected a few pictures and didn't hear anything.
I have the same problem. I narrowed it down to when you enable another accessibility service it turns on part of talkback.
I have a pebble watch and when I turn on the accessibility service for it it the phone prompts that talkback will be enabled, If I cancel Pebble stays off. If I choose ok, The pebble service is enabled and it displays talkback is off but I get that stupid checkbox is checked and unchecked in the gallery. A bug for sure
Long standing bug in Samsung code. It was suppose to be fixed in the next release. The author of lightflow ha been battling it for a very long time. He has links to specifics on his Web site.

Damn that sucks. I never had an issue with that on my GS3 so it just kinda sucks seeing that present here =/

Hey everyone, so I'm in stock jwr66v and my WiFi is off in settings. But it is still using battery power as well as GPS shown in the screenshot. Would this be kernel related or ROM?

copied from pcmag site because I don't know the correct translations from dutch menu -> english menu:
Fire up the Settings app and tap your finger on the Wireless and Networks option. Tap on the Wi-Fi option, and then tap on the Overflow button on your phone's screen (the triple-dots icon). When this submenu pops up, tap your finger on the Advanced option. From there, you'll want to make sure to check the "Scanning always available" option if you want to participate in the new Android 4.3 feature. Otherwise, if it's checked, you need merely to uncheck it to ensure that "Wi-Fi off" really means "Wi-Fi off."
I did that, but thanks for trying to help!

I installed the Vision X ROM on my S4 the other day. I went into Settings/My Device/Language and input, and clicked on "Google voice typing" I unchecked the "Block offensive words" box, but I still get the stars if I say something that's considered offensive. I tried going into the text program itself to see if there was another setting in there, but of course there wasn't.
I know this may sound trivial, but I would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Ace

Never mind, I figured it out. I had to uncheck the "Block offensive words" in 2 areas.
1: Settings/My Device/Language and input "Google voice typing"
2: Settings/My Device/Language and input "Voice Search"
Can someone check to see if this is available on your Verizon phone?
Go to settings on your "Phone" and find security, inside there find "Notification Access"
I am trying something on my gear watch and the stock LG G2. I am unable to find Notification access.
Notification access will let me list apps that can be notified of course. The guy who gave me the path to it wont respond with what carried his LG G2 is on or if its stock/rooted.
Below is what I am following to try and make this happen.

There is no "phone" setting. There is a "call" setting, and a "security" setting. But they are separate (not call> security> etc) , and neither have a "notification access" setting. So not sure what that guy is talking about. Isn't gear only compatible with Samsung devices?

Well....technically but where there is a will there is a way. :victory: I dont get all the notifications because you really need 4.3 to make the root and rom shine.
Just installed NotifierPro Free version and its settings - > service menu gives me access to the "noticication access" system menu that LG hid.
