1) Sure there is, it just auto-hides.
2) Sure there is. On most keyboards, it's between the Ctrl and Alt keys on the left side.
3) Sure there is. It's in the Charms bar.
4) There are at least four third-party programs, at least one of which is free and open-source and has been ported to RT as well, for displaying the "classic" Start button.

oh you mean the metro screen!

Is there a way to insert images into the default "Wallpapers" menu?

I just upgraded to ICS I really like one of the the HC wallpapers.
I'd like to get a hold of the black and blue hexagons wallpaper and add it to the list of factory ones.
The reason I want to do it this way is cause of the crazy cropping you have to do to "set as".
Crazy 365 view yet no replies. To be honest I'm kinda in the same boat but there's a thread with a working downloadable template. I'll try and find it for ya

Any way to get rid of the back/home/app switch bar

Basically I've got gestures for these tasks set up so this bar at the bottom is completely useless. Any way to get rid of or hide it?

It's a common feature that's available in custom roms, but not in stock that I'm aware of
This will definitely come in many custom ROMs. I wish there was a way to switch the position of the buttons. The back button on the left just doesn't do it for me.

I just found this, does the exact thing you're looking for but you need to be rooted (the nexus 4 has many methods if you aren't, look in the development section)

Hi, what gestures do you have?

I wish I could change the Recent Apps button to be Settings. I can't think of a single time I have used the Recent Apps button.

this :cyclops:
i would like to see how much better the phone would look while utilizing the ENTIRE screen.
I think the black nav bar is far too big. should be half the size.

I believe once apps are correctly updated to support ICS/JB then a menu (3 dots) button should appear next to the recent apps button. I remapped mine on CM10 on my HOXL, but I now do find myself long pressing for recent apps quite often.

Missing My Stock Android Features

I'm coming from a romed Samsung Galaxy Nexus using Android 4.3. The reasons why I bought this phone are:
1. The large, bright, crystal clear screen
2. The ability to multitask (having two apps pulled up and interacting with both of them).
3. The new S Pen
I miss some of my stock android features. Reallllly hoping someone creates a stock android rom for this. Miss the ability to reply to texts from the pull down notification window and miss the stock keyboard auto correct features.

[Help needed] Volume mod

Anyone know how to increase the volume like we did on the S3? I no longer see snd_soc_msm_2x in the system/etc folder.
I've tried the hack from this thread, but it didn't work as expected: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729652
Cyanogenmod s DSP manager might still work
Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I don't think so. The volume hack increases all volumes (ringer, alarm, notification, etc). DSP is good for music.
ViPER4Android FX, almost towards the end of the page. Under downloads: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39156703&postcount=1
You're welcome.
Viper's not going to do it either. Have you installed this and got louder sounds?

so you want lpuder sounds but dont want to use volume hack? i love viper it works well but it might not necessarily increase the volume.. maybe you can increase volume with the mod and use viper or other on top of it to make it sound better and adjust volume so its not too loud

Well I installed Viper and I think that did the trick. Weird because I've tried it before but never experimented with all of the settings. Phone is louder now to make up for my poor hearing!

Did you just enable SpeakerFX and then bump each level to the max? That's what I did and don't see a huge difference in sound levels...

I enabled eXtra-Loud and choose Extreme for the effect strength. I left the equalizer flat.

removing navigation buttons

Just wondering if there is a mod out there that can remove navigation button until you need them? I know they had one for MM to where you can press button at bottom and make them go away until you actually needed them....do they have one for N? Thanks in advance to all who reply. :good:

Xposed hasn't been updated for N and I wouldn't expect it to be until they actually post the factory images. Don't use any Xposed module on N at present. I did, however, play with this mod that has been enabled from the actual stock OS in the system UI tuner ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/themes-apps/mod-navbar-tuner-android-nougat-t3446791 and it worked pretty well. Also, this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/themes-apps/mod-theme-dynamic-navbar-android-n-dp4-t3401451 will allow you a dynamic nav bar. There isn't much to add in the first, but you can remove nav buttons and change the layout/spacing.
lol... my bad buddy.. I have no idea what I was thinking.. of course Xposed is not ready for N yet.. I broke my 6p last month and have be been using my old LG Op L90 (no 4g) and with that being said haven't been paying much attention about N due to envy... jp.. sry tho
