removing navigation buttons - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just wondering if there is a mod out there that can remove navigation button until you need them? I know they had one for MM to where you can press button at bottom and make them go away until you actually needed them....do they have one for N? Thanks in advance to all who reply. :good:

Xposed hasn't been updated for N and I wouldn't expect it to be until they actually post the factory images. Don't use any Xposed module on N at present. I did, however, play with this mod that has been enabled from the actual stock OS in the system UI tuner ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/themes-apps/mod-navbar-tuner-android-nougat-t3446791 and it worked pretty well. Also, this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/themes-apps/mod-theme-dynamic-navbar-android-n-dp4-t3401451 will allow you a dynamic nav bar. There isn't much to add in the first, but you can remove nav buttons and change the layout/spacing.

lol... my bad buddy.. I have no idea what I was thinking.. of course Xposed is not ready for N yet.. I broke my 6p last month and have be been using my old LG Op L90 (no 4g) and with that being said haven't been paying much attention about N due to envy... jp.. sry tho

Search for Xposed framework. It has mods for transparent status bars which don't require modifications of system apks.

Which module do you recommend? I tried wanam exposed but didnt work
Sent from my GT-I9500 using xda app-developers app
The wanam app should of worked. After you installed the xposed framework app and installed wanams app did you activate the module? You can activate it directly from the xposed app. Without activating it, it wont work even if it says to reboot for changes to take effect.

Another good one is called XBlast Tools. Theres a forum here dedicated soley to the many different xposed modules and what they can do.

Transparent status bar with custom wallpapers?

Hello my friends, im on my second day with my G2 and im loving it. It has so many features, so many bells and whistles, its just a great phone! One of the features that i like most are the full screen wallpapers with transparent status bar. It works great with preinstalled wallpapers but i cant apply the same effect to wallpapers that ive downloaded, does anyone know how to do this? Thanks!

[Help needed] Volume mod

Anyone know how to increase the volume like we did on the S3? I no longer see snd_soc_msm_2x in the system/etc folder.
I've tried the hack from this thread, but it didn't work as expected: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729652
Cyanogenmod s DSP manager might still work
Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I don't think so. The volume hack increases all volumes (ringer, alarm, notification, etc). DSP is good for music.
ViPER4Android FX, almost towards the end of the page. Under downloads: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39156703&postcount=1
You're welcome.
Viper's not going to do it either. Have you installed this and got louder sounds?

so you want lpuder sounds but dont want to use volume hack? i love viper it works well but it might not necessarily increase the volume.. maybe you can increase volume with the mod and use viper or other on top of it to make it sound better and adjust volume so its not too loud

Well I installed Viper and I think that did the trick. Weird because I've tried it before but never experimented with all of the settings. Phone is louder now to make up for my poor hearing!

Did you just enable SpeakerFX and then bump each level to the max? That's what I did and don't see a huge difference in sound levels...

Verizon Hotspot toggle?

Does anyone know of a hotspot toggle that works with the Verizon Mobile Hotspot app? I've tried Mini Launcher, Tockle and Wear Toggles and all dont turn on/off the hotspot for VZW.
The toggle in Wear Launcher seems to work for me.

I contacted the dev. with logs, I guess it's denying permission to launch it. That's why it doesn't work, he never replied to me again about it.

infinity wallpaper - remove it from AOD?

I can't seem to be able to use the infinity wallpaper without using it on the aod screen.
Any way to do this? Thanks
From the looks of it no. Even selecting it warns you that it affects AOD.
Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
It wasn't there at initial setup. Until I set the actual wallpaper in the Samsung themes app.
Initial setup it was already selected. From what I remember it had the infinity wallpaper on AOD

Guess I overlooked. Thanks.
Infinity gfx don't show up on AOD if you have a bg pattern selected for AOD.
