Exchange email sync problem - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hi I just got this phone. I use my emails very frequently and the sync option is on. Also the auto sync option, the problem is my emails won't push unless I manuallu go in there and refresh any ideas?

I have heard similar complaints about this and googled the issue. It seems that a corporate exchange account won't sync automatically and has to be done manually. There was a work-around suggested by someone that recommended running the exchange email through Gmail and then routing it to the S4 (which will apparently sync well with Gmail). This seems bass ackwards. How can this superphone have his problem? Ironically, when I was doing the reading it seemed that the TMO version does not have the same issue.

google sync problem?

hi everyone,
I'm having problems with push email and calendar sync with my HD2. I followed the guide on Google's site and it worked well for a week. But now, sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't and I don't receive neither email nor calendar updates. Is there any way to have a reliable connection to Google Sync so that I always receive my mails and calendar (by push of course). Thanks.
I am having the same problem. Oddly calendar ALWAYS works for me but mail sometimes.
is there any other reliable service (free or paid) then? I came across with nuevasync during search but read here that couple of people had problems with it too. I really need this functionality running.

[Q] E-mail sync w/ Hotmail stops

Apologies up front if this has been addressed, but I couldn't find a answer.
My wife has a Samsung Fascinate (stock). I've set up, using the stock e-mail client, her hotmail account. After setting this up, everything seems to sync ok (contacts, e-mail) initially, then continues to work for the next few days. For some reason that I have yet to figure out, the sync simply stops working. She usually complains after a day or two that she hasn't gotten any e-mail on her phone, although she can see it on her PC.
Anyone else run into this? It's not a Windows Live 'Pro' account, but the fact that I can initially sync makes me think such an account is not needed.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Exchange sync issues with the Epic 4G

When I try to add a corporate exchange email account, it stays stuck on a "loading" screen. I can get out of the email app and use the phone, but when I go back to email it's still on the loading screen - this will go on for hours (even if i soft reset the phone). Won't sync contacts or calendar either. It seems many have had this issue on other forums, but I haven't found a solution or a reason why it's happening. Anyone have any info on this?
I have not had any issues with 2.1 and now on 2.2. When you setup the account sync try not sycing mail maybe only contacts if that works then do calendar and so on. I have seen problem mail and calendar items that cause issues like this on other mobile phones at my work.

Gmail App & Exchange (Lack of it...)

Soooo, I've been using the Gmail app for my work's exchange on my HTC One, but after receiving my S7 edge yesterday and attempting to setup exchange on the app, I noticed there is no option for it? The only way I can setup exchange on this phone (w/o downloading Outlook I suppose) is to set it up on Samsung's native email app... Anyone else notice this? Kind of BS if you ask me. The Gmail app is better IMO for my email needs.

Download the latest version of Exchange Services from here - http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/exchange-services/
You'll have to enable unknown sources for install. Close the Gmail app before install, reopen and add account, and you'll find Exchange access there.

You are the man! Thanks!
I did this, and email is working, but I am getting an error on calendar. It won't sync.

Same here. I am getting the dreaded "Sync is currently experiencing problems, it will be back shortly." message when it is trying to sync the calendar. Emails have been coming through just fine the past couple of days but the calendar does not seem to be synching properly. I also get this error message when it tries to sync contacts as well but I'm not as concerned with the contacts. I've tried several workarounds that are out there on the web but I have stopped short of doing a factory reset, which I would prefer to avoid if possible. Has anyone tried the factory reset option and can confirm that it actually resolves the issue?
I am wondering if the issue may be a bug with the latest version of the Exchange Services apk that we are using (5.0.106634657).
I just decided to run my email through Gmail but use MS Active Sync for Calendar.
Has anyone had any success with the Gmail Calendar sync issue yet?
I may have to go the MS Active Sync route.
You could also set up the account in the default mail app, and turn off sync for everything but the calendar. I'm using that app to sync my exchange account, and everything works.

Anyone having email sync issues?

I decided to try and consolidate email apps and just use the stock email app for all of my accounts instead of having separate apps for each service (Inbox, Outlook, Yahoo, Gmail).... This was primarily to try and take full advantage of the interactions between my Gear S2 & the S7E. I THOUGHT everything was going smooth until I just noticed that the only email account that seems to be syncing (Push) on a reliable basis is surprisingly Outlook. Both gmail accounts and my yahoo account haven't synced since 730am this morning. And trying to manually refresh isn't working either.
EDIT:
If I turn off wifi, the accounts sync just fine. Turn wifi back on, no syncing. Does the phone not know to attempt connections over 4G if it encounters issues over wifi?
