Hi
My S4 seems to have an issue when playing mp3's podcasts etc when the screen switches off.
Plays 100% with the screen on but when the screen powers off the MP3 starts playing slower. Push a button to switch the screen on again and all is back to normal.
I assume that this has something to do with power saving of some sorts, any ideas how to sort this out?

Lately my music will stop playing or not advance tracks when my screen is off. Also on occasion when I turn the screen back on the audio will crackle like the headphone jack is not in all the way.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
I saw in the atrix 4g sub forum someone else had this issue and fixed it by take the gallery app out of the Auto-End list is there a similar list on our transformers?
thanks for any help
Mod please delete this thread I found a similar one in the forums by doing a more refined search

I have the same problem, having to turn the screen on at the end of each song is very annoying!
Hi All, so I'm fairly new to the game, installed CM9 on my Galaxy Note yesterday and today I found something fairly odd....
So when I have my headphones plugged into the unit and receive a text msg while music is playing, the music lowers as usual and you hear the text msg sound...but the music volume does not go back to normal.
Without the headphones plugged in, the music will lower as you receive a txt and it will begin raising up back to normal.
Anyone else getting this for their phone? I'm using stock music player btw, so I'm going to try downloading a new music player and hope that works..
I didn't see this under the "known issue" list nor did I find any result as I googled the problem so I apologize if it's a repost.

You'll find it in the [Nightlies] Thread. It's been discussed before, hopefully a nice new version will come along and fix that as well, if it hasn't already (I'm a bit back on my flashing )
While listening to music on Google Play on (headphones) I went into settings and was looking at my wifi settings. I pressed the menu button and accidently hit the option for WPS push button. Knowing I didn't mean to press that I immediately hit the Cancel button and then BOOM my volume increased dramatically. So much that I can't even listen to it all the way up now because it's insanely loud.
Can anyone else duplicate this? Weird I'm going to see if it effected the external speaker...

Did not effect the external speaker. Headphone is back to normal. I dunno lol. Probably a volume spike due to the notification of reconnecting to my wifi. That's the only explanation I have.

When im in the music player listening to music and go to music player settings my volume increases until I leave settings.

I just bought a new Subaru BRZ after driving 10 year old cars and I'm trying to get my music situtation figured out. What I'd really like is to be able to get in the car, have my phone connect to BT automatically and have Spotify start playing as if it were regular radio. What I have is almost sorta close. The Google Music app will start playing and stop when I get out, but there are a few issues.
1) The onscreen controls are "alright." I can see the track info and skip forward and back in my playlist. Anything more advanced and I need to pull the phone out.
2) That doesn't work at all in Spotify. I basically just have a streaming music player if I want to listen to Spotify.
3) Most importantly, the connection is quirky enough that I don't want to use it. It will disconnect (I think there's a pattern but I haven't figured it out yet), music will start playing from the phone speaker and continue until I fumble around with it and either stop it or get it reconnected. (At that point I'm frustrated and usually just stop it)
The other biggest issue is -- and I don't know what I was expecting -- SMS on this thing is truly a nightmare. I haven't played around with it much. The day after I brought it home I got in and was bombarded with every text I'd gotten since I parked it. After hitting ignore 100 times I turned off notifications in the HU settings. Is SMS worth using on this HU at all?
And finally the navigation isn't very good. It's really a low priority but I thought I'd add it.
So.... can anyone tell me what I want? The connection issues are really the killer for me right now. BT A2DP streaming is more trouble than its worth. I doubt a different HU would solve those problems.

Hey guys thanks for opening the thread.
I'm simply looking for a mod (possibly xposed?) that lets me retain music playback without muting it when a notification comes in.
It would be preferable if the notification sound played over top of the current music playing.
Please don't recommend vibrate. I walk around a lot while listening to music and hardly ever feel it.
I used to have it on my I9000 in the gingerbread days and currently it seems like if my notification volume is close to silent it seems to behave in the way i'd like buuuut then i can't hear anything so its about as useful for me as vibrate.
thanks again!
