Plz help my usb port is not working ,AND I NEED TO REVERT BACK TO STOCK FIRWARE

HI,,
SOME HOW MY USB port IS NOT WORKING ...I HAVE TRIED ALL THE METHODS TO FIX IT ,BUT I COULDN'T AND IT IS NOT DETECTED BY ODIN ..!!
NOW I need to revert back to stock,TO CLAIM WARRANTY ..!!

YES i have the nandroid backup of stock firmware 2.1 in my internal sd card....but i need stock 2.1 kernel to get it working ....

i have the same problem my selfe.. win 7 64bit cant install drivers.. every driver says just "unknown device", if i force install a driver, it comes up with no 10 error.. cant start the device..
i have CF-root 3.1 and docs jvb 2.1, with no usb connection at all...

i had the same problem.. at home and at work i couldn't connect to a pc.. but i connected before on these pc's..
what solved my problem was to connect my phone to a pc where i never connected to.. so without any drivers.. after that my pc recognized it again.

so you are saying the problem lies in the phone, and not on the computer? cause, i have uninstalled the drivers and rebooted.. so it should be as a "new pc"..??

I had to install some drivers that I have downloaded somewhere to make it work. You should start by that

Tnx, I have tried all drivers with the same result.. if I force them,result is "failed to start" error code 10

I can confirm, that your capslock is working! Well done!

Do you have samsung kies installed? You need that for your drivers

I'm pretty sure you just need the drivers and not Kies. Well I don't have Kies anyway. Have a look for "SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_x86.exe" ... that's what I used. No crappy Kies.

Call me stupid, but have u enabled debugging mode?

After doing several researches , i found a post in androidforum which almost solved my problem....!!!

after reading this i cleaned my usb port ,,still i cant mount my internal sd card in MY system.....BUT THE GREAT NEWS IS USB WORKS FINE IN DOWNLOAD MODE NOW..!!!
I FLASHED STOCK 2.2 FIRMWARE ,I CAN CLAIM WARRANTY NOW.!!
i hope it will help those who have same issue with the usb..

your phones are working right ? just no usb connectivity ??
easiest way would be : download required ROM, copy onto a external sd card using a card reader (who doesnt own one ?? ) boot phone, copy to internal, boot into recovery and flash the .zip

Yea, that's whats odd. Phone works just fine, but no USB Conn. So I can't flash with Odin, or transfer files to and from computer. All happened after I installed cf-root.

Cant Access COM Port on CleanGB HELP!!!

I flashed with CleanGB, and it is a phenominal ROM. But i cant access the COM port on my phone. I tried ##8778# and switched back and forth on PDA/USB/MODEM settings, but nothing... does anyone have any ideas? Please and thank you.

Have you heard any way to do this? I really dont want to flash back to the sprint ROM, but i will if i need to, i need to change some numbers......

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers on your computer? Different cable? Different USB ports?

I have tried everything on my computer... My wife epic works fine..
I believe toad said something about it being possibly related to canceling a reboot from the power button. It's in the clean gb rom at the end....
I've just been living with it so far... Plugging it in after power down and removing the battery gets it to boot again...

Then a quick Odin to EC05 stock should get it going again, then root and flash. Don't restore any system data.

Not even in download mode huh? You can try restoring an old nandroid to see if that fixes it.

I think you guys have broken phones.
EDIT: Or in the case of your PC not seeing ODIN, something is probably going on with the PC.

ive had the same exact problem you will have to take your sd card and try to install a stock rom from phones cwm recovery or which ever recovery you are running

I have the exact same problem on the exact same rom.
But only on my home PC.
I tried it at work and Odin recognized the com port. Not sure what is changed on my home PC. I dont have to Odin often, and this is the first time I've noticed this.

I'm trying to update my rom using ODIN but my phone is not being recognized when its on recovery mode.
It is working fine when it's powered on normally.
Im running on Creed v2.1
Please help.

First of all i am using Galaxy Y S5360, and using crees's rom v2.1 and today i did a factory reset and from then i am stuck at boot animation and recovery mode not working it's automatically rebooting & i can't flash it through ODIN!

To flash in odin u need to be in download mode
Press and hold home+vol down+power..then it will prompt u to proceed to download mode, vol up for yes..odin will recognise it

Guys, need sum advce on what wil i do,. Im planning to change my sd card from 4gb to 8gb but my doubt is, how wl it be done c0z i already rootd my phone, im realy confuse on how wl it be done, and im using n0w c0stume rom and apps 4 bter per4mance.

root will stay root even if you change SD card,
hmm insert new Sd and format it with ur phone, then use a card reader and copy everything in old SD even hidden files, and the copy to newly formatted SD..thats it

And please post creed related issues in the sticky!

U have correct driver in pc?
If have then backup ur Rom Through CWM [if any imp data u have]
Try To Install Stock Rom And Then Connect if phone connected then Install New CM Again

How install a recovery from pc?

Hi friends, i'm new here.
I connected the computer to defy the cable and made ​​the mistake of pulling the cable before disabling usb debugging and it crashed . I tried restarting the system but how the system is on the memory card is not starting .. tried reinstalling the rom by recovery but he does not enter the custom recovery . Is there any way to reinstall the rom or at least the recovery by the computer ? thanks for the help .

Reflash SBF, root with framaroot, install 2ndinit app. Restart your phone, Then press volume down when blue led appears. Then flash the ROM of your choice.
