Bird or a Plane
What ROM/OS are you using.....
Once I click on Advanced/Resolution....it shows the current setting, then at the bottom there is a page scroll to view the settings and I can successfully select to my desire. If that does not work I take it you are on a custom rom maybe...possible bug

Cm10.1 performance settings

Just flashed cm10.1 from cm10 and noticed that the performance tab in settings is no longer there... Am I missing something??? Did it get moved or removed?
Had a hard time finding it as wel after updating, but this worked for me!
Tyler83 said:
Yes, it's integrated as of the last updates. It switches directly by touching the icon and it doesn't bring you to the settings
Quick settings works and you can also change the i/o scheduler, I just did it. If you don't see the performance section under "System Settings" you have to enable it by touching 7 times in a row the "build number", which is the last item in the "Phone Info" settings.

I see this is a month old thread, but it was the first hit on Google but the answer wasn't clear. Performance settings are unlocked the same way as Developer settings. Open settings, scroll down and select About phone, then scroll to the bottom and click on the Build number several times. After clicking it a few times you'll get a message that says you're only a few clicks away from being a developer. Keep clicking.
That worked... Sweet thanks for the tip!!!!

[Q] USB Debugging Mode Option on the s4

Hello guys, I have quick questions. I have been having a lot of problems with Samsung Kies:
picture thumbnails not showing
taking forever to sync music
abruptly disconnects halfway
etc.
And i was reading around, realising that it could be due to the USB debugging mode being switched on. I want to switch it off but cant seem to find it anywhere in the settings menu. I know for previous phones you can do so via settings>applications>usb debuggig mode. However, on the s4, i dont even have the 'settings>applications' option... I only have 'settings>application manager
Help appreciated!

USB debug mode is off by default
You have to go to about phone and click on build prop 7 times to enable developer options

Really odd on this one. Settings > More > About Device and then tap the greyed out "build number" line 7 times. Then go back a screen and you'll see Developer Options as a choice in the "more" menu.

[Q] Icons missing from Galaxy S5!

I'm frustrated!
I want to edit the order of my "Quick Settings" in the Notification bar, but there is no icon (the pencil icon on the right side up) where it should be!
Also, when I press the "Options" button (the three squares) in the Settings page, most option are missing!
The only one that appears is 'List view' (to a total of 2 views - 'Grid view' and 'List view'), whereas the third view, the 'Edit quick settings' and the 'Help' options are missing!
I've got pictures to prove my point and help you see my problem but, unfortuately I can't post them here.
What is wrong? Is it because of the edition of the phone?

Depending on the device model and also the firmware version, there are some variation of the Settings menu. So I cannot realize what is your Settings menu structure.
You can open the S Finder and enter 'notification panel' to search.

Same thing happens. I sadly think it is because of the firmware, as you say, and there is nothing I can do about it.
Thanks for your reply, though!

What does that mean? Did you find this menu using S Finder?
If you cannot find this settings, here is another way:
Install Shortcut Master app, open Menu > Search > enter 'notificationpanelsetting' to search. Finally tap on the search result to open this settings.

Yes and, again, the notification panel had no pencil on the uppermost right corner. :/

I had high hopes for this (on my search on the Net, I found no solution like this) but, alas, the search came back with 0 results. Searched both 'notificationpanelsetting' and 'notificationpanelsettings', and 0 results for 'notificationpanel' as well!
edit:
Oooh! That's why I thought I recognised the name of the app creator - it was you! Nice job, btw!
Sorry, I have searched on my Note 3, not S5.
However the function may be missing because of different firmwares.
You can bypass this problem by flashing another firmware.

I have no idea what this sentence means!
So, I guess, I'll just have to get used to it...
Thank you, anyway!

Can't find Developer Options to unlock OEM

Like the topic says. Above 'About device' I have 'User manual'.
Is this something that my carrier has done? If so, is there any hope other than get a different carrier?
I have the SM-G935F, and using the carrier Telia in Sweden if anyone is wondering.
The developer options menu is hidden, go to settings, about phone, and tap build number repeatedly until it tells you that you are now a developer.

Go to About device -> Softwareinfo - then tap 7 times on Build-Number.
