Is it possible for have a cm10.1 for l3 e400??
I know that there is a official cm9 by the cm team
But since the galaxy 5 (a lower device) can use it(with some lags)
Probably the l3 can do better
There have been some crashes on the official cm9 such as hanging and sudden reboots
Not saying by any means that the official team is incapable in any way(they are trying very hard) and yes that there is some devs on xda that can do miracles
With the Jelly Bean ROM coming for the L5, I hope it will be on th L3 soon, but until there, no CM10.1 for us
You can use CM9 and SDMergeE400, that combo is great for gaming, internet browsing and all of our daily needs!
you can expect CM10.1 when CM10 goes stable. currently it's still WIP though... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2229798
You know, not even CM9 is stable for some devices, we have to wait for the devs...
maybe, but i don't have problem with CM9 for now. it's stable enough for daily use.
yeah i agree..cm9 is gud for daily use...nd wth gellmar ..i hope one day ..cm9 will b bug free ..

No hope left i guess the saddest part being that even cm9 nightlies have stopped coming and that wip cm10 project by Deatharrow seems abandoned. No one at modaco seems interested in lending a hand either. But thanks to guys like gellamar at least we have a less buggy cm9 nightly btw we might end up with that nothing more, nothing less
yep...i want it

All devices. Relax, rmcc is probably just busy with something else. His contributions in May have been very few. If CM9 was abandoned, you'd expect him to contribute more to CM10 or CM10.1, but nope, very few contributions as I said.
Yes I can help anyone that would make the cm 10.... I'm not an expert developer but I can help...

Being a total Android n00b, I just finished converting my SE X10 mini pro from stock to MiniCM-2.1.9+ nAa-11 kernel, and now I want to go on taking care of my ZTE Blade, but as far as I have seen by now, development for the ZTE Blade is quite different.
The official stable CM7 seems to be stuck at 7.1.0 since autumn, somewhere it was mentioned that nightlies have been discontinued, I could not find any info on kernel development, and progress only goes on with builds called KANGs?
Has official CM7 development shifted to CM9 only?
Can someone explain please, what KANG means?
Which CM 7.2 KANG is the current recommendation (I read about targetBSP, BurgerZ, burstlam and sej7278) and what are the differences?
You can say these as unofficial nightlies built by other people with their own small modifications but with all the official CM updates.
The names you mentioned are the one who built them
The one that i found fastest was the burstlam build but they're all pretty similar....except..targetbsp's version is more like a vanilla version meaning using all official cm updates only no extra mods etc. s
CM7 is still being developed, the only thing that stopped were the nightly builds, think it was hd failure on the server or something. CyanogenMod recently took donations for new servers, so they should be back up & running soon.
KANGs are just versions built from CM7 source, but not by CyanogenMod. There isn't much real development going on with them. They're just more recent because the CM7 nightly builds stopped months ago.

Go for Burstlam's build. Has good options for UI customisation and also has lesser battery consumption.

When it will be out and maybe everything will be working since it's a minor update and works with the fixes and modules we have in CM9
the source isnt even out for another two weeks! and even ics isnt fully working (and it will never be). jesus, people, first of all, devs are people too, they have the right to LIVE besides porting roms to devices, second of all, why so impatient? what do you want in jb that ics cant give you? accept that the defy is an outdated phone (especially with the old kernels and drivers). if you want a fully functional ics or jb, go buy the galaxy nexus or the nexus 7 (its only 200$). so, again: the defy will never have a fully working port of either ics or jb.

I think the devs at CAF are working on JB. Also, Blefish is going to work on CM10 as soon as it reaches RC.
If I knew how to do it. i will start with JB for huawei u8800 :crying:. But i dont know how started with development for huawei u8800.
There is no driver for msm7630. Qualcomm probably won't relase drivers for JB. And ICS drivers will be extremely buggy. So This is over guys, no need for cry.

Thats funny. You think devs are born knowing how to make custom roms? Everyone learnt it. Easy, if you want something, DIY. Thats the android culture.

"(early sample)" I don't think it will pass early sample stage. Maybe end of october we had a JB.
Drivers are not the issue. Older Snapdragon devices (Nexus One, HTC HD2) have working JB ROMs thanks to the drivers released by Qualcomm, my daily driver HTC One V has fully working JB ROMs with those drivers too (Snapdragon S2, Adreno 205).
Be realistic. It's been what, a month since JB code was released? As such I wouldn't expect working ROMs for at least another month or two. And by working I mean booting and e.g. working radio. Our community isn't the biggest after all.
Of course ICS was a huge leap. JB isn't. But that doesn't mean you can quickly build a ROM using ICS-parts and expect a good experience.
I'll try it (make Jelly bean for huawei u8800). I have ubuntu. And i downloaded cm compiler. It will be hard work.
Good luck!

Our community used to be big but since march or february we lost a couple of important devs like genokolar, only a few heroes like blefish or dzo try to work on our little big device, with some work by a dev i'm pretty sure we would have a jb working rom. There's lot of users and only a few devs that's the problem. Our phone is a powerful one with one of the best single core processors and also a good gpu and i think jb would work on it like a charm.

Do you remember Francisco Franco work for U8800? Todas he is focus on other machines (nexus, note, etc) It's ligeiramente and U8800 ligeiramente is ending.

according to the latest news of Ivan Autumn, “u+年后由drt团队更新。目前仅限于4.1,我准备跳过4.2,等5.0。 @pikachukaki4 @ax918” --- quoted from Ivan's Sina Weibo (a chinese mini blog like twitter), which means U8800pro's devs are gonna be updated by the drt team (a branch of Shendu team) after Chinese lunar new year, but only supporting 4.1 so far. He himself will skip 4.2, and wait for 5.0.
so as we can happily see 4.2 is NOT the END of U8800pro!!!
everybody hooray!!!

Shouldnt ppl try to make stable ICS rom first? JB is buggy as hell, and now they talk about 5 already?
And maybe someone could point out most stable ICS rom which is most stable right now?

Good joke
That's good news but I think that a stable 4.1 or 4.2.1 would be better. Now about drt team. I'm quite sure that pika has already said that. Ivan stopped working on U+ and gave his work to drt team to continue. Now about KLP is STILL just a rumor. Nothing released yet. Remember that Huawei has completely abandoned this phone (oldest rom by Huawei for U+ is ICS)

i'm using the one i attached below, i get this directly from a Chinese forum, so i'm not sure if it is the same one as Pika have posted (but i guess so). so far for like 2 weeks i have not yet come across any random reboots..... not once it's working stable to me.
Good News
We can try the new features on our phone is a good thing, If someone need stability can go 2.2 ROMs, And someone need good features can try the new version. I don’t think that everyone updating their phone is for stability. Waiting for it…………………
Oh no ... 2 weeks, it will write sh1t here in this thread. There is nothing new but still a new topic. Someone has to clean up. Please!

Hi,
I just got a Nexus 4 and love the device. I come from a HTC Sensation and used to run CM.
I am running stock 4.3, non rooted but lack some options.
I would like to ask your advice on what to do, should I;
- Unlock / root and flash CM 10.1? (should I flash a custom kernel?)
or
- Stay on stock until a stable CM 10.2 releases or wont this release for a couple of months?
I dont want to hassle with nightly builds, just want a stable daily driver and dont want to flash every week.
Thanks guys!
Wait for 10.2. Kindle fire CM 10.2 has already been released so I can imagine that it won't be long.

I hope you do realize that even nightly releases are quite stable on the Nexus 4? Unless you're doing some hardcore mission critical work, I'd say 10.2 nightlies are just as stable as 10.1
I'm not one of those flashaholics who will flash broken builds and half broken features just to have the latest new gimmick, so when I'm telling you it's solid, I mean it. CM10.2/Android 4.3 does have its issues, and I'd say the biggest is the battery drain issue that has to do with location services. If you're willing to disable half the features of location services, then the issue is less apparent, but to me 10.2 is good enough for me to run as a daily driver. I'd say the issue is more of an Android 4.3 rather than a CM 10.2 issue. So even if you go with a stable ROM like AOSP, you're doomed with battery the same as CM.

Thanks, I didnt realise this, the experience I had with nighly releases is not that good. After reading this I am considering to flash 10.2
I tried 4.3 and liked it quite a bit but I decided to stay on my favourite ROM (not cm but sabermod) on 4.2.2 until it gets updated to 4.3
and I haven't looked back
