There are a number of threads about these two topics, I am going to consolidate my findings here.
First off root works great on the Sprint variant, secondly so does Xposed with S-Health and private mode. You just have to be careful how you set them up. There have been a lot of posts about freezing S-health and Private mode then clearing data but from my experience that is hit or miss. There are four basic steps to getting everything working and it should be done from a factory reinstall of software.
Root using Chainfire autoroot for Sprint and Teamwin 2.8.1.1 for Sprint (NOT THE RECOVERY IN THE EASY STEP ROOT THREAD) It will fail just pull the battery and boot to download to install the recovery (buttons HOME, VOLUME DOWN, AND POWER) boot to recovery then install supersu
Download and install Xposed (not Wanam) download and install XSecure Health module install Xposed framework reboot
Activate Xsecure Health module reboot
Clear Data for Health Service and S-Health reboot
Run Private mode and set up, run S-Health and setup.
Setup your Google and Samsung accounts
If you do these steps exactly without doing anything else I can promise you will have a rooted Sprint version with Xposed, Shealth, and private mode working. When I say exactly I am serious there are a lot of things that can/will mess you up like
Signing into google or samsung on reboot after installing factory software
Starting private mode before setting up xposed
Shortcutting by doing a factory reset instead of a factory software reinstall
Restoring your data Nandroid backup (Use Titanium etc for a program by program reinstall of apps)
BTW the problem here is a little bit deeper than uninstall xposed everything works. There is a something that is changed in the software with either xposed or wanam that can permanently kill private mode until you do a factory install. At the moment I am doing Nandroids before any change I make in Xposed.
The X secure module help my 915k to get s health back after trying all other advice, thanks

No problem, I've found that the xsecure can help with s-health, all these steps are for getting both working

Hey Guys i finally flashed the official lollipop rom (Poland) to my note 3 but after that i can't open the clock app, at the beggining i was thinking that it was a bug cause i didn't do a factory reset on the phone and i only erased data/cache from recovery.
I tried to reflash the rom without deleting the data but the problem was still there, so after that I did a factory reset and delete cache/data from recovery but nothing i can access the clock via svoice with commands such as:
set timer
set alarm
and only via alarm widget every other action that i tried didn't work i tried also via safe mode or to install a clock.apk from aptoide and from a custom rom but nothing.
Does anyone else face that issue ?
Thanks in advance.
Two days age i received my note 4, and i rooted it. The problem came after installing some exposed modules. Apps start to randomly crashes i could not use a phone anymore so i went back and flashed ot with official rom. The problem keep on and this time around all google apps are crashing i can not even sync or open any google app and also other samsung apps keep on crashing and the phone on some occasion will restart itself. Anyone with an idea on how i can fix this
Go to Recovery and wipe data and cache.
Not all Xposed modules are compatible with LL or MM.

I did that and the problem is still the same
Hi all,
I have a G900I running Nougat. Recently My phone started getting slow, so I reset the phone. Here is where the issues occur, I had restored some apps and it worked for sometime but took a very long time to restore my existing apps that were installed, so I figured lets reset again and start without restoring at all.
Now the biggest issue is to get apps download at all. I can only update the existing apps that were installed. I have tried many solutions from google but no go from disabling the google play store app, clearing cache and for Google Play Services. as well. I keep on getting the Google play error of 905 and 495. I am quite stumped on how to fixed this issue.
Is there any method to fix this issue? I hope I am not resorted to root and install a custom rom to fix this issue. I have attached a screenshot of the stock rom I am running.
reset your phone from zero
i know it will take some time to configure your apps but it will fix your problems
NOTEont restore anything from google
Steps
Install TWRP
go To wipe

now go to reboot menu

flash stock rom lol
login to your google account and uncheck restore my apps
disable sync lol
I did a full unroot of SuperSu to root with Magisk. After I root with Magisk, I get a few 'App has stopped working', I get
Unfortunately Logs Provider has stopped working
Unfortunately Media Storage has stopped working
Unfortunately Contacts Storage has stopped working
Unfortunately TouchWiz Home has stopped working*
Unfortunately User Dictionary has stopped working
Unfortunately Weather has stopped working
*I use Nova Launcher
I usually get them upon boot but sometimes I get them during regular usage
I've Tried
Reflashing correct firmware through Odin
Wiping Cache and Dalvik
Factory Resetting
Unrooting Magisk and Rerooting
How do I fix it, I am Running OS 5.0.2
Edit: Download Manager doesn't work as well when downloading APKs
Reflash it
