if you haven't do nandroid backup. you are on a very bad luck side. there is nothing you can do.
unless you can get someone else nandroid backup.
but if they give it to you. both of you have the same imei..

You should have made efs backup ,

What did you do in the first place?

stock rom or recovery does not restore your imei, since efs partition is not flashed with these.
and i think that nandroid backup also does not backup your imei neither.
always do a backup of your efs partition after rooting.
see this if it helps.
if not, unfortunately, take it to service center.

always remember to backup efs partition . specially if your going to install a custom ROM :fingers-crossed: ..

[Warning] IMEI NULL NULL

Guys I am posting this to warn you guys to have efs backup before messing with your phone as I already messed it up after flashing this mod
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1924021
Now my phone is working but there is no signal as IMEI & Baseband is unknown.
So After doing a lil research I repaired it by flashing a stock ROM.
Now my phone is unrooted for now till I found ktool or a working tool to have backup on my PC.
Here's the working tool for efs backup..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1922473
All should Backup their efs before flashing anything to your phone..
Count it as a warning!!!
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Done backup but posted as a warning as its the first time as i messed up with efs.
Everyone should take caution. I think there is something in this N7100 device which causes this.
IMEI & Signal Blank ...
Same here.. In my friend phone signal & IMEI Blank after flasing that mod and reboot.
when we flashed different version of custom rom no use.

Something in that mod must be wiping EFS then, you need to tell the DEV of that MOD asap so he can pull the mod-offline and investigate

The same thing happened to me with the same Mod
Lost contact and IMEI
And tried to reform by efs i take it before by EFS-NOTE 2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1922473
Did not solve the problem
Solved the problem with me by restore my backup from cwm recovery
dunno wht he had written in script actually...
Fired From My FireDevice.
This is nothing special. I used to mess with SecPhone.apk to change the layout xmls and recompile. When I messed up with signing the file the result was Unknown baseband no signal and null.
I restored the original SecPhone.apk and rebooted - things went back to normal.
When flashing mods always take a look inside the zip file and backup the files that are going to be replaced.
That said, EFS backup is highly recommended.

And have you tried flashing a modem on it's own?

If you have efs backup then restore it
Otherwise
Read toolbox in my signature and find efs repair
Still failed then send to service station

Don't do that
Most of countries it is illegal and both devices will get banned

Hence always follow the steps as said!
Dr.Ketan's thread clearly states that after rooting 1st thing that must be done is backup your EFS!
Now suffer.

What is ANKWONE ???
Wrong IMEI restore backed up EFS folder .
Or take to a service centre if no backup .
But before that you could try reading the ten thousand previous no IMEI/EFS posts .

You seem to have a corrupt efs folder, just restore a backup of you have one.
If you don't have a backup you will need a service at your local service centre. Run triangle away, flash stock, factory reset in recovery and remove any indications of root or custom firmware before hand.

Then your out of luck if you don't go to a service center.
Should always backup the EFS when flashing. I had this on my Galaxy S1 a few days ago and didn't have a backup. Going back to stock fixed it so try that if it doesn't work then goto a service center or put up with it.

Galaxy I9505 with IMEI null. I need help

Hi, my brother in law bought this galaxy I9505 but was carrier locked, so he thought it was good idea to give the phone to someone to perform an unlock with software, not with imei. The guy messed up the EFS or something like that since the imei its null and does not recognize any sim card. Im reading the forum but I have not find any solution. He didn't back up the efs folder, just did a dd backup but we dont know if we can do something with that. He also have a backup on kies but kies don't recognize the phone maybe because all codes (product vendor etc) are wiped.
If someone managed to solve this I would appreciate sharing the solution.
Thanks
Try flashing the original stock rom again. Your friend must have flashed the wrong varient.

I flashed the phone with the stock rom, not the one that came with the since its from chile (entel). I dont know where I can get that rom but what I read thats because a failed flash
according to my research your stock firmware isn't released yet.. i also think your phone EFS got corrupted because may be he tried to mess with nvdata files to unlock.. so its always safe to take a backup of EFS and i don't think flashing a stock firmware can recover EFS if this happened due to EFS issue... goodluck

Exactly, the guy who messed this was trying to unlock the cell phone without an unlocking code, now the cell phone its just an expensive samsung player... I'm still waiting for a solution like the galaxy I9305, if not I guess samsung can repair it at some cost :crying:

- First try re flash the stock firmware for your device.
- If that doesn't help, try this post.
Gud luck
Note done I tried your frist nd second post also
Your EFS partition has been wiped or corrupted. Did you not backup your EFS with TWRP or another EFS backup solution? If not you likely need to get it repaired by Samsung. But if you flashed MIUI your Knox will be tripped so they might charge you.
Backing up EFS is essential if you're going to mess around with your phone for this exact reason.

Nope, KNOX cannot be reset.
The cheapest solution for you is to find an unlocker near you, or just to buy an Asansam box, http://www.ipmart.com/main/product/...ged,with,2,pcs,cables,,341410.php?prod=341410 . They are not to expensive

IMEI Corrupted Galaxy S5 g900f

Hello everyone,
I am trying to fix my not registered on network problem on my galaxy S5 G900F
Until now I tried flashing various versions of stock ROMs, but none of them worked. I mean I was able to flash them properly, but it didn't fix "not registered on network". So I am thinking that my efs folder is corrupted. I rooted the device and installed a custom ROM: xXx_NoLimits_4.3_G900FXXU1CPE9, Kernel version 3.4.0-7182592 [email protected] #1, Baseband version is G900FXXU1CPCH.
After that I tried EFS Pro software, but I am not sure what am I supposed to do there. Any pointing to the right direction will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
if you are using twrp recovery and have done a backup of a rom then you can see if you have done a backup of the efs folder and flash it again

I just got the phone with corrupted efs, so I have no backup with a good efs. Any other ideas?
If you purchased the device with a corrupt imei then the only option is to return it to the seller to get them to sort it out. If you don't have a backup, then giving advice on how to 'rebuild' it is not going to be given as this same advice can be used to modify or change an imei number which is illegal in most countries....
Sorry fella but that's the way it is....

+1 here. I have lost my imei after install xxxno limits v4.7.1 with stock kernel in G900M
Same here. I tryied several things:
- reflash an other ROM, MODEM, BOOTLOADER. Same issue.
I have a backup of the EFS partition but, it's impossible to write it back. I tried almost all the program we can find they said it's ok but no. IMEI is not back.
Any idea?

There are two XDA accepted ways to fix this.
1. A successful restore of a backed up EFS. (backing that up on a samsung device should be common sense by now. This has been happening for years with them)
2. Send it back to the OEM for repair. (most times they charge you for another board)
Due to the different laws around the world concerning the IEMI of a device and who can legally mess with it. This is XDA stance on the matter.
Now no further talks about how to edit the imei in anyway shape or form. Even if it is to put the correct one back.
