You can also get the feature by searching for Android 4.2 camera apk on Google.
http://www.chip.de/downloads/Jelly-Bean-4.2-Kamera-Android-App-APK_59836907.html
By this variant there are no extras like HDR, it is the pure Google Android Camera.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33499248 --> here you have a flashable zip. But I dont know what functions it includes.
Sorry for my bad english

It certainly is not.
Panorama... is panorama (180 degrees). 360... is Samsung version of Google's Photosphere...

Its a nexus camera feature. But there you can install the s4 google edition camera which has the fully functional 360 (photosphere) feature. Have search for the app,its on the themes and apps forum section somewhere.

thank you, I know all this.
what I meant (and the OP), is that Samsung presented a device with a camera mode called 360, that is not present on any existing ROM...
as a P.S. - I am not a real fan of Google Camera, I find it quite limited sometimes....

I don't know if it's different if you are outside but when I use panorama mode in my room I get a 360 picture (see attachment).

sorry, stupid me... I forgot a circle has 360 degrees.
still, it is not 'that' panorama, but this one: http://cdn.gsmarena.com/vv/reviewsimg/samsung-i9505-galaxy-s4/shots/thumb/gsmarena_040.jpg
(look at the one called 360)
like mentioned before, it is the same as photosphere...

Had a look on google and could only find this related post with someone enquiring about the feature. It looks like it may have been initially included but removed. Possibly because Google wanted to keep it as a 'nexus' only exclusive feature??

samsung camera

I hate touchwiz... so rooted and flashed a new rom, but i want the samsung camera? is this possible is there an APK? please and thank you
If you flashed an aosp ROM you'll never get the Samsung camera working. You should really search cause this had been talked about so many times it'll make your head spin!

as mention on the first reply, the samsung camera will not work on any AOSP launcher and etc.
the Sasmung Camera apk needs the TWLauncher in order for it to work.

woops xD haha sorry. i just woke up and i'm not myself now...
maybe i should grab breakfast. hahaha
Maybe instead of flashing aosp rom. Could you not keep tw rom. Install a launcher with aosp theme. This way you get aosp look and feel while still keeping the stock camera mate.
Just a thought

If you hate touchwiz you should not buy a samsung galaxy s4??
Skickat från min GT-I9505 via Tapatalk 2
I remember when people used to ask about the HTC apps being able to be transferred to AOSP yes it's possible in theory but no one will do it because of the ever changing updates and such and also the fact it's a lot of framework to change, however if it was done it would be seriously good, also i'm sure Samsung probably would say something along the lines of a lawsuit if we did manage to port it all over.

Looking for a "Best of both worlds" ROM.

I eventually got round to rooting my i9505 the other day and now I'm looking for an AOSP ROM that has the Samsung camera, video player and other useful apps. Has anyone seen anything among the numerous options available that offers this?
Cheers.

not gonna happen... best you'll manage is a touchwiz rom with JB domination theme...
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
So at very best, a GE ROM or even CM10.1 with the Galaxy camera APK that I've seen mentioned would be a good start!?!?
Sent via telepathy
I will leve that. To many good features are does not exist on custom Roms that are already available in the ugly and not usable touchwiz interface

And that's the only thing putting me off taking the plunge at the moment. I think I'll just start with getting some bloatware off there as it is and see how that goes.
Cheers.

[REQ] Android Kitkat Camera in LG G2 [no root]

Hello guys,
I am new here so wanted to know if there is a working Android Kitkat Camera APK for a non root LG G2.
Photosphere in LG G2 Stock Camera is not that good for me and I wanted to make use of the Camera app used by Nexus 5.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, i'd appreciate it.
Thanks,

Similar question except on ROOTED phone.
I'm running AOKP Nightly from 2/8/14, but the camera options only let me adjust to 8MP which seems kind of a waste on a 13MP camera. Any suggestions on fixing this (app or instructions on flashing apk)?
Thanks in advance

4.2 Camera OR 4.4 Camera?

As for my perspective, when I managed to switch into 4.4 Kitkat OS via OTA download of LG, I would say I am satisfied with the quality of 4.2 Jelly Bean OS version than the 4.4 Kitkat OS. I don't have a clue but did LG have changed something with the settings or quality of the camera in Kitkat version? Please Let me know

i have same problem with camera after 4.4 update :S
You have issues with camera after update to KK? Interesting, i'm on ls980, and the kk update improved camera 100 times better. I have Parkinson's so the ois was a feature I looked. Kk camera takes great pictures now, where it took forever to focus before and quick click of the shutter would give junky pictures before.

No I did not. I'm afraid to.
camera is fine in main app, but using video calling with wechat and hangouts and tango is very very bad, this wasn't the case before the update? what do i do here , i didn't root the phone, stock everything stock
We have to report it on LG since some of the owners of G2 are fret to do such rooting right?!

that's rooting in process.. I'm afraid doing that again.
Ah, yes, so it is... well, that is the only thing I could suggest. I will soon get 2 D802 units, one for me and one for my girlfriend. I am not too bothered with the camera but my girlfriend is very fussy about it. So I will attempt this update on hers and see how her camera performs vs mine and let u know
Would that be possible to root your phone just for the camera app?
