Hi there,
I am looking to buy a HTC desire Z and I am from New Zealand, I see clove and ebay have several options, is there anywhere else I should consider? Mainly want the cheapest price and genuine HTC (unbranded carrier) phone.
Thanks
I'm also kiwi mate. Checkout mobicity.co.nz. . I have used clove but freight took ages and I got stung with gst by customs. Mobicity ship from ozy and refund you if you get hit with gst. They also have great support

Another kiwi here... got mine through expert infotech, wasn't the cheapest I could find, but, was in stock & got it the next day...
Hopefully won't have any warranty probs, but, if I do I won't have to ship it back overseas...

Thanks guys, yeah I found mobicity and expert infotech but they are about $100 more expensive than buying from the likes of clove or ebay
hi guys
After bouncing back and forth between the SGS II and sensation forums, i decided to buy the SGS II
SGS II seems more powerful in terms of performance and has better hardware, while the sensation seems to be better in terms of it UI (sense 3.0)
The SGS II has not been released yet where i live so i'm gonna buy it from expansys or handtec and get it shipped, and i have been hearing about SGS IIs faulty on arrival units (circles on screen and stuff like that)
So my question is how frequently are people facing faulty on arrival units. It will be a hassle for me to get a faulty unit and then ship it back to the UK and pay for shipment (around USD 50).
Which online store do you recommend i buy from ?
Thanks for the feedback
Id also like to know too
Look into clove.co.uk as an option

Surprisingly carphone warehouse was cheapest and had stock. That's where I got mine from.
Next day delivery free too. Though you'll have to check re: international shipping.
Always found mobilefun really good + if you use topcashback site you'll get 26 pounds back.
Hope this helps

Howdy,
I've finally aligned the stars and am ready to by the international note. Before I buy, I'd like to know how everyone feels about buying through Expanys USA vs. Amazon. I've used both companies before so I am very comfortable buying phones from them.
I just want to make sure that I get the version that has been updating the fastest. Not talking about ODIN, but software update to come to phone.
What versions are they selling - German, Hong Kong, etc?
Thanks!
You can probably get it for a bit cheaper off Amazon. If you're buying via Expansys make sure you look up for some discount vouchers. I bought my white international Galaxy Note from Expansys just 2 weeks ago and wow, next day shipping was AMAZING!
I got mine from expansys its German.

Amazon price has dropped significantly. Bought mine there. Came with KK2.

At this point just get it for the cheapest. If you choose amazon, make sure to check out the seller feedback. I personally went with expansys when it was first released.
Unless its under a certain price, i rather spend the extra for smooth transaction. Amazon is to much like ebay.
just wanted to vouch for global mobiles on amazon..i bought by note from them about 2 weeks ago ($30 more expensive then..=(), and they were fantastic. perfect condition German model, packed well, very attentive to detail.
also had 1-day shipping for 3.99 on prime..and it arrived less than 24 hours later!! =O
i just got mine last week from amazon...with 2 day shipping....super awesome service....my experience with amazon has been very excellent...no complaints so far.....i would suggest amazon

From a hardware standpoint, each version is exactly the same. The only real difference is the pre-loaded software/firmware. If you're planning to update via Kies, then it's probably best to flash a Euro firmware and take it from there. I know you mentioned that you don't want to deal with Odin, but honestly it's the best firmware solution for Samsung devices. It's really not that difficult either honestly.
Amazon, even if you have to pay taxes.
Amazon shopping
Got mine from Amazon. $608.99 sold by TRD Trading GMBH white unlocked. Ordered Thursday March 30 Amazon Prime plus $3.99 shipping upgrade I got it Friday. Came in Samsung sealed box. Shipper included a US plug adapter to work with the international Samsung charge adapter and a couple of printed notes for how to change the language at startup from German to English and to setup the APN to AT&T. Had to look in here though to get MMS working.
All in all I'm extremely happy and finally enjoying my Note this weekend.
I got mine in November thru Amazon and TechnoTradingHouse.
Excellent experience with them. Mine was slightly delayed (5 days) and they bent over backwards to keep me posted as the delay was out of their control (customs).

After posting my reply... I dont think you can go wrong with Expansys. They are top notch too.

THANK YOU EVERYBODY! Amazon it is
Ive been going back and forth with expansys for the last 2 months with a defective sgs2 that they refuse to replace. Its currently at the uk samsung now going through "tests". Theres a quarter size blemish in the screen thats obvious yet im still jumping through hoops to get a replacent. I will never go with expansys again.

Thanks for the recommendation! I think I am going to go with Amazon due to nostock fees. I remember when I used Exp in the past, they tacked on a nice nostock fee with my return. Although, in the end they are excellent too

Wow. I'm soo sorry to hear of your bad experience. I guess this reinforces my first instinct to go with Amazon. I swear you can buy everything including your spouse on Amazon
There are so many sellers out there selling Note from different countries. Is the one from German is the best one?
I heard it's better to get the one from UK since:
a). They have good customer service and ACCEPT service request from out of UK
b). All the manuals are in English
So which country should I get the Note from? UK, Germany? ROM I can deal with, defective hardware.. well.. if it's not covered by Samsung in the origin country, I just lost $600!!
PS: Global Mobile in Amazon sells their Note from Germany

Sounds like user error to me. They only replace up to 30 days. Never had a issue with them. They actually contacted me to give me a full refund so I can take part of a 100 off promotion they did shortly after my purchase. You kept a sgs2 with a blemish longer then 2sec. Sounds like your fault.
Cant go wrong with expansys. Mine included overnight shipping for free on both devices.
Amazon is much better than Expanys anytime
I got mine from Amazon cos its cheaper
What are your guys thoughts in term of WARRANTY? I spoke with one of most popular seller in Amazon and they said the Note they're selling are Germany version and comes with 2 years warranty.
For warranty work, their approach is:
1). Send the phone back to THEM
2). They'll prep the phone to send it back to Samsung in <insert country here>
So the turnaround time could be in many weeks. I.e. ship to reseller --> reseller ship to Samsung outside of US --> Samsung fixed the phone --> Samsung ship to reseller --> reseller ship to customer.
You gonna buy new Samsung Galaxy S III soon?
Yes, I have mine pre-ordered from Amazon and will be taking the 30th off work to take delivery and play with my new toy. []
Im putting mines straight into service playing music off my network drive between bands that night.

Define as good, personally I believe it's better. Hate HTC, worst battery out there and now they sealed it. Nahh thanks.
I will buy it when it's available on Verizon in the US. Like, the 1st day it's available!

I might when the price is down, whether the screen still retain all the issues from previous Samsung phones and with the news of upcoming Nexus devices, I'm waiting for now.
No pre-ordering yet, just waiting, but I will see what people think about it, and then consider buying it later.
For one thing, the price does matter.
Definitely yes

I'll get it around the start of June.
Getting it off Handtec UK.
It's around 720 Australian dollars with shipping.
Since I'm an international customer I won't have to pay for VAT.
That'll make it much cheaper than buying it here, it's like 799 for 16GB.

You guys think it's a good site and good deal?
Waiting a month or so might be a good idea. Price will drop

Hello,
I am living in the Netherlands and a week ago I bought a Nexus 4! Very happy with it but, I want a bumper case for it.
I saw that the bumper was available in the UK, so my question is... Does anyone want to buy one for me and then send it to me? Am willing to pay a high price.
Thanks in advance.
Patrick
I ordered my bumper on the 13th of november, just because it says its "in stock" doesnt mean that it is.
I ordered it on the 16th...still waiting...

Hmm... If you already have one, would you like to sell it? (To people who already got it)
Ordered mine on the 21st. No sign off it and order still pending. What a joke.
