Market wont download anything...

Market wont download anything when using my phone.
However apps obtained from the market via computer will install.
I have updated prl , profile.
I have unistalled market updates, clear caches on market, google services framework.
I have changed my password.
I have tried different roms. Cm7
I even tried different nandroids.
Flashed latest combo Radios from caulkin.
All the same result market wont work properly.
Market tried updating 15 apps simultaneosly, then froze my phone, had to batterybpull, now im left with no market, and a jacked up netflix.
I just called sprint they advised firmware upgrade, (lose root no thanks).
Think I might need to email market support.
Any suggestions?

Yup.
Wipe your android_secure folder on your SDCARD.

Still dreaded Download unsuccessful please try again notification.
I just emailed google market support, I'm sure they can already tell i'm rooted by the apps I 've downloaded the better question is , will they help?

Try clearing cache and data from the gmail app. Menu/settings/apps/all apps/gmail

I just tried it, rebuilds my mailbox. Sadly the market starts the download then fails. Unsuccessful try again.
Fixed netflix by obtaining Apk, that doesn't do intro check found here.

At this rate I can only side load, and install apps started from a pc in the android market. Double ugh.

I think we got something.
1.I reflashed to a nandroid.
2. I flashed radio pack from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1128135
3. Cleared cache and dalvik-cache twice.
4. I reflashed NV 1.77_003 Radio from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715485
I think from the past threads i read NV and PRI radios had to match.
Tried the market for a paypal update, and the phone finally started to download and install.
I cant say that I fixed it, it just works now.
Do you think the market will ban your phone if you attempt to download an app too often, kind of like if you flood an FTP server, and it auto bans you for 24hrs?
(Seems the more likely case IMHO)
I'd like to thank all of those who helped me trouble shoot this!!!

[Q] CM7 - Android Market - Not installing Apps!

Been trying to solve it for hours!
I NEED my Android stylin' for school!
I press install, then it downloads, but doesn't say the app is installed / the app isn't installed. Help meh.
How do I fix this, so I can install apps?

I tried CM7 again but this time, a little combination of two instructions.
Before, I couldn't fix the market problem, like anything I tried (clear cache, data in the manage applications settings) didn't work. And the uninstall updates wasn't visible. So today I tried again but with some different instructions, and this time it worked! So glad I can use CM7 on my phone, so awesome.

Are you using a stock ROM or a custom ROM?

I've been having this problem lately (on both Bandroid's ROM and rdannar's "diet" stock ROM) with the new marketplace.
Even on updates some apps will go through the whole process, and even act like they're downloading, then will still show up as needing an update.
This didn't help you, but you're not alone?
Rebooting (sometimes) helps.

Do you have the new market yet? I notices when my phone switched to the new one it took a few hours for it to get back to normal. Also, it mat not show its correct status in the market app and if you leave and go back it may say it is finnished.

Rebooting didn't help either.
This is crazy, I don't know why it's doing this, I can't even do gapps because the market won't install the apps.
Market
version 2.3.6
and their is no unistall updates button either. Mannn this is so frustrating.

Wait... are you installing Gapps after installing a ROM? Which ROM? Are you using 3g or wifi?

I just said beep it, I went back to 2.2.1, and installed spb shell 3d.

I have this same problem. I can't successfully install any app via the android Market. I tried clearing Market cache and data with no improvement. If I choose install an app, it looks like it downloads in the status bar, but doesn't actually list it as "Successfully Installed" as it normally would.
If I look in the Market's My Downloads it lists the app but says "Free" next to it instead of "Installed" or "Update". If I then try to install it I get "Sorry! The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Force Close.
I also rolled back the updates on my Android Market with no improvement in functionality.
I think the issue started when I went to Android 2.2.
I'm not clear on how to solve this problem.

unmount SD Card
A temporary fix would be unmounting the sd card and then installing the app. It happens on some roms..hope it fixes...works in my case.

Tonight, I cant DL anything direct to Nexus, nothing.
cant use Titanium back up either
I havent done anything and it was going great on Smoothrom 3.1
it will open webpages and browse the internet but will not download anything direct and says insufficient storage even though there is 9GB free
Any ideas folks?

Did you upgrade to 3.2? It was a problem on 3.2. I had the same issue. Check out the smoothrom thread there are some solutions there. Sounds like the only one that works is to start completely fresh and install 3.3.

Tried full wipe of everything and then installed an AOSP rom, same problem.
Did another full wipe of system, dalvik and cash and installed SmoothRom 3.4.............same problem!
Can anyone help?

Before any of this have you ever filled up your n7 to 500 meg or less?

I have an issue like this too.
I cant download through anything that uses the download manager, this started happening after i flashed stock 4.1.2, and is persistent with other roms. Tried downloading through tubemate, rom manager, and some download manager on the market, all work fine. Try to download with xda or the browser, failure. I have 8gb free and have tried it on paranoid android an stock 4.1.2. I've also tried clearing the download manager data, didnt help.

I fixed the problem. It took a complete system format as in wiped HD clean as well.
I backed up the HD to my laptop first and then took back all the files I needed after installing Smoothrom 3.4 using JROM tool.
Just made a titanium back up of everything again and all is well.

No worries. when you make the back up to your computer, you can copy your titanium backup files back to the formatted drive and then it wont be as time consuming for you. Just dont copy system settings

[Q] [HELP] Download again Android 4.3 via OTA

Hi to everyone,
I downloaded Android 4.3 via OTA but I didn't install it immediately. After some days by mistake I cleared all the data in the Cache, so I couldn't install it because I lost the data.
I tried to clear the data in google service framework process after I checked for the updates but my phone says the system is up to date even if I have the 4.2 installed on it. How can I download the 4.3 update again in the simplest way?

Keep trying the same trick as it won't work in the first attempt.. I had tried it for almost 15 times a day..
Simple way is why dont you try any 4.3 custom rom if you are rooted??
Rooting your phone won't harm you or your phone... all upto you. :good:

Yesterday i received my RMA Nexus 4 and it was shipped with 4.2.2. I received notification for 4.3 to installed but when i clicked on restart and install. Notification disappeared and nothing happen to phone. since then i'm not getting any update for 4.3 at all. Triad many times since yesterday.
Any advice or trick would be welcome.

Go to System update and your update should be there.

I havent rooted my phone because I don't want to lose warranty. I rooted my old HTC desire and partitioned the SD card as it had no space for apps. So I'll keep trying. Do you think Google will let me download again the ota? Or I'll be disabled for downloading the 4.3 seen that I already downloaded it?. Thank for your reply

I did it but the phone says always the system is up to date the checkin didn't change anything. Any other advice?

Try it a couple of times. And make sure to clear cache AND data.
Maybe also Force close it.
You can also try the following:
Do exact to same but instead of typing *#*#blabla#*#* after deleting cache etc you gonna restart. After reboot go to system update it should be there.
I was lucky it worked for the first time but I remember members here tried it 7+ times and then got result.

1) Once I get the URL and I direct download the ota how can I install the updates? I mean (no root, no custom rom) just upgrade "legally"
2) Does the OTA delete the apps I have installed or any data like photos or music on my smartphone?

hahahahaha Legally? you act like rooting is going to get you thrown in jail.... LOL, well I have never done it "legally" as you say but I would assume there are directions in the link or on the web. Probably download zip to phone and there should be an update.zip option to use in stock recovery. OTA wont delete anything you have on your phone but ya know if you rooted it you would be able to nandroid all of that.
The pros of rooting out way any con you could possibly have but hey its your phone so enjoy. Also 4.3 stock is not exactly a major upgrade that you will notice but hopefully it fixes something you may have had an issue with on 4.2.2

Tried both tricks planty of times and still no luck.

I'm also having the same issue since yesterday, had the update downloaded for like 10 days but didn't install it due to the issues that I've heard and now it has disappeared
I'm on stock btw

odd. I'm having the same problem.
Phone is on 4.2.2 and is fully stock and it doesn't show the 4.3 update.

4.4 Update, HUGE PROBLEMS

After updating my tablet is useless. YouTube app keeps giving me the same message "An error occurred" and I can't watch anything. Google Now keeps saying I have no internet connection. Google Play Store won't load screenshots. I can browse the internet just fine but none of my google apps work, WHAT A MESS!!!
If you guys have any solutions for this please help me out.

Did you start with a clean install, or update and keep all your data? If it's the latter, you might consider a factory reset.

Started out with an update, saw the mess then did a factory reset from the device itself. That didn't help at all so i did
fastboot -w update *image name here*.zip. Still no success.
In a fit of desperation I actually flashed everything manually
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
etc...
NOTHING WORKED!!

If nothing works you can make a clean 4.4. install. With the google images. Or you make a clean 4.3 install.
If you have changed someting, like xposed framework or root or wrong recovery... that this could be the problem.

Already made 2 4.4 clean installs. I think I've traced down the problem though.
It'a DNS problem as the ads on webpages have an "error resolving dns" error on them.
I've tried changing my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but to no avail. None of the Google apps work.

Try uninstalling Facebook app. I had rotten issues with network performance until I removed this app.
All working great now.
