When i apply a stock s4 wallpaper the status bar is transparent but when I use any other wallpaper the status bar goes black? Any reason as to why?
Yeah, Touchwiz only has transparency for stock wallpapers and live wallpapers. Nova 2.1 Beta 1 supports the GS 4 transparent notification bar on all wallpapers.

Hello all,
I'm running Paranoid Android and am absolutely loving it - but I'm looking for a way to possibly make the bottom bar (back, home, multitasking, notifications, time) completely transparent.
Anybody know how?
Thanks,
Kevin
You need a launcher like Apex or Nova that supports it.

It works on stock launcher as well. Just go to the hybrid settings, go to apps, find the launcher and set the nav bar transparency.

Just go to themes and there you'll find only one theme available, that one will give you all those things you seek in transparent!

Is there a way to have 5 row in the touchwiz launcher ? 4 icons are just not enough.
I have tried other launcher, but then i was not able to have a transparent status bar, so i am back to tw. Or have you found a launcher with transparent Status Bar ?
Thx for your help
5X5 Launcher
I would love a 5X5 Launcher.
4X4 is definitely not enough.
Can anyone help out with this.

hmm...hopefully someone will do that and make it install-able?
i am not experienced enough for that...haha
There will be a mod(s) out in no time for touchwiz and alternative grids will be there just as it has been.
I'm on at&t so I won't be doing this mod as the at&t bootloader looks to be locked...with out custom recovery its to much of a risk to mess something up

I just got my s4. And restored my apps from titanium and now my status bar is not transparent but gray/black life the way it was on my note 2. How can I get this back. I really like the transparent look.

Are you using a launcher other the default touchwiz launcher? nova has the option for transparent status bar , but it is very buggy!
Hi, I like the stock touchwhiz notification bar, with its fading effect, but that's really the only thing I like about TW, so I'm using Nova Launcher Prime, is there a way to enable this in Nova? There's an option in Nova that completely makes it transparent but I prefer the fade one that is on touchwhiz.
Thanks

Is it possible to set a live wallpaper on the lockscreen in this Beta? I only see an option for static wallpapers. No biggy. Just curious.

There is a thing named motion wallpaper which supports a color changing effect on lockscreen although it delivers a couple wallpapers.

I don't think that's quite what OP wants. I was looking for the same thing but it seems the stupid ass wallpaper theme store only supports static wallpapers and I can't set lockscreen wallpapers from the homescreen. I think it's a bug that'll go away when the release is official
Thanks. Yeah, saw that. They are a little... underwhelming. Was hoping for full control over this.
Note 7 Rom had the same got round it by using wallpaper picker doesn't work on nought maybe someone knows how to get it working

Is there no work around for the live wallpaper?

I tried a few different wallpaper choosers and launchers, and can't get Live Wallpapers to work. Looks like Samsung removed LWP on Lockscreen functionality. Too bad. I really wanted to use some of those gorgeous pixel wallpapers.
