I've noticed that the metal rim around the screen is slightly raised above the screen. Is it the same for you?
It doesn't feel as good as the smooth edges around the GS3...

Samsung were smart and have gone back to the SGS2 design. It fared much better in side on drop tests than the SGS3 thanks to the metal/plastic edge.

Also allows to to put a screen protector on without the edges sticking up like it did on the STUPID S3 screen (just as bad as the HTC One X with its curved edges btw)

"Screen Corners"
Starting with one palm holding one of the corners of the note, reaching with your thumb?
I can manage three relatively comfortably. About 2cm away from the last.
I can touch all corners..... No problem..

I like a shiny smooth protector. Want it to feel like the glass on the screen. Easy to install.

Does anyone have any idea where the top part of the back plate is removable? Seems a little weird as there isn't anything under it.
My only thoughts are that it could be a place to store the SIM if they bring out a 3G version, or its for some sort of official case which would clip into this
its for the case to attach on dude

Hi guys! Just want to share how my stock anti shatter film became anti fingerprint which is cool.
After few days with my xz, ive notice some scratch on my lcd without doing anything rough.
I made a decision of using PLASTx to remove those scratches. Applied little drops, lightly wiped with a microfibre cloth in a circular motion. And after few times. The minimal scratches were gone and i noticed that, unlike before, my fingerprints are almost invisible now.

The anti shatter film is not made of tempered glass......
Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk 2
That is true but there is still a glass behind it, so I wonder if it could affect the glass.

The OP mentions "minimal scratches", so I doubt that they had penetrated through the anti shatter film. Therefore the plastx will not have come into contact with the glass screen.

I scratched my screen with key(with very little pressure applied) although it's a very thin scratch but I am disappointed with the Gorilla glass 3 they say it is stronger than previous versions gorillas I do not concur. .so my advice to ppl who are using their galaxies without a screen protector should get one ASAP!

Why did you scratch your screen with a key? Your wording made it sound deliberate.
Gorilla glass or not, I had a screen protector on this thing within 5 minutes of taking it out the box and I did exactly the same with my S2. All glass will scratch if you try hard enough or if you're unfortunate enough to have a few grains of sand in your pocket.

I took those Gorilla Glass 3 test reviews for their word for it (-;

Hahaha. Well did it?
Yea it did with scratches here and there

Metal does not scratch glass (especially a typical key). It was probably something you had on your key, like a bit of sand or dust. That will scratch any kind of glass no matter what you do to it.
