can anyone tell me how to plack correctly in pc?

You can use avi (MJPEG codec) on XDAI, but you will get much bigger files and you need a pc codec too

Playback of .ASF files with G.726 audio codec

I have a Panasonic DMR-E100H DVD & hard disk recorder that also records onto SD card. The output is an ASF video file format with G726 mono audio codec. My XDAII will play the video via Windows Media Player 9 for Pocket PC but there is no built in G726 decoder, so there is no sound produced.
Is anyone aware of a plug in that can be downloaded or installed to help WMP for Pocket PC play G726 encoded files or has anyone developed software that will play .ASF files with G.726 audio codec? I have searched Handango and not found any application that will support this.
Alternatively, as a last resort, are there any software applications that will translate ASF/G726 files into other playable formats?

Panasonic .ASF MPEG-4 video files with G.726 audio codec

I have asked this question before but the problem was not solved.
I own a Panasonic DMR-E100H DVD & hard disk recorder that also records onto SD card. The output is an ASF MPEG4 video file format with G726 mono audio codec. My XDAIIi will play the video via Windows Media Player 10 for Pocket PC but there is no sound produced, so I assume there is no built in G726 decoder in WMP10 for PocketPC.
Is anyone aware of a plug in that can be downloaded or installed to help WMP for Pocket PC play G726 encoded files or has anyone developed software that will play .ASF files with G.726 audio codec? I have searched Handango and not found any application that will support this.
The only way I have managed to get to watch the files on my XDAIIi is by using Windows Media Converter to convert the .ASF file into a .WMV file with a playable audio codec. This process takes hours for a full length movie so it defeats the purpose of being able to use my Panasonic HDD recorder to record TV programmes to watch on the train etc.
Please can someone help or share their own experiences with Panasonic home video SD recording and playback on XDA software.
To help things along I have attached a short video clip in .ASF format as recorded on my Panasonic DMR-E100H this morning. Please try playing it to see if it plays on your XDA and let me know how your device is configured. Mine is a standard O2 XDAIIi with WMP10 for Pocket PC.

Codec issue with video

When I record a video with my Incredible and try to play the file on my computer with Windows Media Player, I get a codec error and there is no sound. Has anyone found the WMP codec that would help?
What I did was use vlc player because of the sound issues.
I had to convert it to avi so I could edit it in movie maker because of the no sound issue.
Pretty sure it records in aac format. Google man. Google.
Mine records in 3gp. Not sure if you can set the output file format.

[Question] Coverting MKV files to playable format....

I have certain MKV files which can be played and ones which cannot be played on my SGS, after a little searching i found it can be due to certain codecs not being supported by the sgs natively.
does anyone know a decent quick converting windows application?
example the MKV file i have is 6 channel audio, which i believe is not supported. i need to convert the audio codec of this.
You need three separate applications to convert your DTS audio to AC3 format that SGS can read. Note that 1080p is not supported so i can't help you there.
The applications you need are:
1. MKV Extract GUI - to extract the dts audio
2. DTS2AC3 - To convert the DTS audio to AC3 audio
3. MKV Merge GUI - to merge the newly created AC3 audio with your mkv file
You can do a good search to find these apps and instruction on how to use
Hope this helps.

check 'popcorn mkv audio converter' - it does all by itself using the tools mentioned by dipac. No hazzle for us, it takes less than a minute to convert a video song without modifying the video quality.
Suggest me an app to do the same for mp4s please.
Dont know if it helps with 6 channel audio, but i could play all mkv files after upgrading to JM2 firmware. Some files didnt play on the old firmware, JF3.
