It didnt do anything, but after two hours the battery is empty and it turned of itself. Then i plug in, red light blinks three times and phone is opened. Now it seems there isnt any problem but do i have to afraid?

Must be a software crash. Nothing to worry about!

[Q] Is my screen broken?

I got my Nexus 7 about a week ago and have been loving it. However, I woke up this morning to turn the screen on and it is not turning on at all. The screen stays black, even though I had it plugged in all night. When I connect it to my computer it makes a sound which leads me to believe that the tablet works, but the screen has unexpectedly died on me. Are there any tricks or tips you could give me on how to possibly get it to work, and if not where do I go to get it fixed (Ordered from Gamestop.com with store credit, 16 GB model).
Have you tried holding the power button on it for around/over 30 seconds to force it to power off and back on? I had the same problem with mine, and doing that fixed it.
I had the problem. Hard reboot sorts it

Nook Color Won't Turn On

I have a problem with my Nook Color. I had left it plugged into the charger for 2 days straight, I don't know why , but now it can't turn on. I unplugged it, and tries holding down the Power Button with and without the SD Card inserted.
If I feel the Nook Color, when it is plugged out of the charger, I still feel it warm, like the battery is still charging.
Any solution to this? I'd really like to know What is the problem here exactly, and how to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried holding the power key + the n key for 10 seconds, release then hold down the power key alone until nook starts. It may take a couple cycles of this to her nook to reboot.

I did that at first, but it didn't work.
But I found out the problem and solution. >.<
I guess it was just overheated, and I left it near an AC for a hour or so. Right after that, it worked perfectly. I think I just need a bit more patient next time.

Nexus 7 Power?

OK so I have a wierd problem with my nexus. When I turn it off it won't turn back on doesn't matter if there's a USB or not. After a few hours sometimes it works sometimes it still doesn't. This is a huge problem and it stops me from getting into the boot loader. Should I just go to the store and get a new one or is there a fix?

I kinda have the same problem too, sometimes it takes a while to power on. All i do is hold the power button until the google logo shows up. Try that.

How to hard reboot / no battery pull

I have not got my phone yet should be here in a day or two but I have been rooting and flashing for a while and when things crash I have to pull battery out. What do you do on nexus 4? You if holding power down doesn't work.

You're screwed then as holding the power button down for ten seconds is the only way to force shut it down.
It's slightly different than my N7 where you hold that power button to reboot, this one just shuts it down and I have to release and press again to start it back up.

It's just just like doing a hard shutdown on a computer.

[Q] How to force shutdown/reboot?

So I've gone and done something incredibly dumb. I am running AOSPA 4.3 Paranoid Android 3.99, and I love the Halo capabilities. But I didn't realize that there is a limit to Halo, which I discovered when I opened an SMS through Halo and then tried to open the camera through the SMS app all while running a game.
My device is frozen, and I don't know what to do. Is this considered a soft brick?
The command window prompts aren't working because the device isn't being registered by the computer, even though when I go into Devices and Printers, an LG device is there.
How can I force shutdown this thing? OR even get it to recovery? Are either of these possible, or do I need to wait it out until the battery goes kaputz?
Thanks!
Hold down power button till it powers down. Does this not work in your situation.

Thanks for the suggestion! Wow, I guess I wasn't holding down the power key long enough? Now I really seem like a noob, which I am. It took some 10 seconds before the screen completely turned off. (Before, the screen had dimmed down but was not off).
Thank you so much!
No problem. Glad it was something simple. Not bricked.
