Blue images when using stock samsung browser. - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

As the title says, I am getting predominantly blue images on the stock browser. This started 2 days after purchase and it's only on the stock browser. I cleared the cache and all data and still same issue. Don't really want to factory restore seeing as I just got everything set how I wanted it to be. Any ideas?

Have you enabled Power Saving?
That turned my stock browser bluish on my GT-N7000

Colors changing on s4, not adapt display

So yeah does anyone else have this issue? My s4 colors tend to get warmer and like have a green tint when the keyboard is pulled up any keyboard for that matter in any app with adapt display on or off and auto brightness off or on. Like the status bar turns greenish too. It's so strange.

do not understand you well , do you mean the icon of notiffication bar getting green sometimes , and some times they do not?
Yes. But only when the keyboard is up. The color of the whole phone gets warmer

Maybe power saving mode?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
Nope. It like changes the
Saturation a little when the keyboard tray is displayed.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
interesting.
I want to see if someone else can test this. Open up or even reply and look at the status bar and tell me if the black becomes like a greenish tint as well as the whole screen. Then close the keyboard and watch it change back to normal.

I see it change a slight bit, but my face has to be pressed up against the glass when opening the keyboard to even notice. Is this really an issue?

No but I was just curious as to why it did it

I have exactly the same problem on Verizon S4. It really bothers my eyes as it seems to be changing the white balance / tint simply based on what's on the screen all the time. I have of course turned off all options that have anything to do with automatically adjusting the display.
I have the exact same problem with my GS4 international version. The problem gets even worst when playing a youtube video. The colour of the youtube video and the whole screen changes when the status bar is present and when it is not. The whole screen becomes reddish when the status bar is present and greenish when the status bar is not present. Any help on how to disable or fix this?

No but people seem to not realize it's even there. It's built into touchwiz. Only goes away in like cyanogenmod or something. But I'm sure it can be fixed if a dev wants to help so let's all keep this rolling. Anyone else notice it?

I noticed all the Hues are screwed up, even with out a keyboard being displayed. Internet surfing, playing games, Navigation.
I miss my Galaxy S2 because it didnt have this issue.
Edit:
Compared my s4 with Note2, and note 2 cilors and hues are so much better.
I don't see a change. ..

I have the same issue but mine happens very rarely. It's super annoying. Has anyone tried deleting colorblind.apk?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337
After I noticed it a few days ago, I think it is ok now, at least not as bad as the first time i saw it. Youtube video seems to be ok now with very very tiny bit of change in colours and contrast compared to yesterday with the same video. I think it might just be some bugs in the software. I did try restarting it many times yesterday and also disabling auto brightness, auto adjust screen tone and adapt display and that didn't help at all but now it's just kind of fixed itself
I just realised that this only happen when the brightness is set at a very low level. The effect is less noticeable when the brightness is high.
Yes so it's throttling the display to save battery and such
Does flashing cm10.1 fix the issue?

What the lag? You obviously haven't did a search cause this has been addressed in numerous threads. to damn many, I might add.

Occasional home button response delay
Sent from my Galaxy S4
Your definition of Lag is definitely different than my definition. However, the "home" button has a short pause because it is designed that way. It is waiting (just a fraction of a second) to see if you are going to use it for it's double tap option or not. Disable this feature (you can search for how) and that very little delay should go away.

change S-Voice setting to not open via home key. home button response delay solved.
You did a 10 minute video for that???? I believe when you say you have OCD. I suggest you to seek professional help, and not from Samsung support
I agree there's nothing wrong with your phone.. But they're might be something wrong with you if a .01 millisecond delay bothers you to the point of making a 10 minute video and rambling on and on about it. I would try and get laid if I were you and stop worrying about the phones home button.. Not that big of a deal

Thank goodness for fast forward or that would have been a painful 10 minutes.
You should all kinds of weirdness with your launcher - how about going back to stock 100% first. But from what I see things are fine. Maybe the mechanical home button is slower then the touchscreen. You could always return it for an iPhone.
Hahahahaha is this guy serious

Limiting the process to four will negatively impact your performance.
More ram usage does not mean more battery usage, in fact it should usually save battery because the applications are already loaded in ram when you go to use them. If you are constantly killing them you'll have to reload from nand flash and back into ram.
Also you should probably try to make shorter videos
Do you have any idea why when I have maybe 5 apps in my recent list my home button response has a slight delay but then if I clear all recent the home button response is basically instant?
Sent from my Galaxy S4
I actually went to at&t yesterday to compare mine to the display models and the home button response was exactly the same, until I started loading multiple apps then mine was a tad bit slower. You guys might think this is ridiculous but I'm just trying to make sure that I don't have a defective device. I have like 6 more days to return it to Verizon if i feel I do.
Sent from my Galaxy S4
If you feel your device is a defect. Just go get an exchange. Let us know how your second device is doing.

your not crazy, the lag is def there. however, it is designed to be like that, so there will be no changing it. just ignore these trolls, everyone loves the opportunity to come out from the shadows to spew spite all over the newbs and repeat posters.
Well I took the s4 back and they exchanged it for another. Seems to be working much better.

I noticed screen banding on grey/ darker backgrounds, is this a normal issue? Is it a software issue or what?

[Q] HELP Molang-like bunny face lock screen

Hi Guys,
I just got my S4 in the mail yesterday and after adding my Google acct. I noticed I had the cutest bunny lock screen which cooed when petted, cried when punched, blow a kiss when lips are touched, sneeze when nose is touched, and sees stars when forehead is swiped was on my phone. If fed the carrot he spits it out but if fed the soda bottle the phone opens showing a bright orange/yellow version of his face before loading the home screen. (BY THE WAY HIS FACE KINDA LOOKS LIKE MOLANG)
NOW THE DILEMMA:
My 4yr was playing angry birds which for whatever reason froze the screen up. I could not get it to shut down, so after pulling the battery it just started up like new, asking for my language and Samsung account. After adding all accounts previously on I noticed Google only added the app that I added AFTER receiving the S4 (about 6 apps) and my cute bunny face lock screen was gone. I REALLY WANT THAT LOCKER> It is not in my list of downloaded apps in the Play Store and I have tried without fail for 6 hours to Google it in every word variation i could think of to no avail. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

It's not in the app store, which would explain why it's not in your app store.
Honesty, I don't think anyone in the xda forum would have anything like that, so we would have no idea what you're talking about.

GS4 ACTIVE [Home button Wake]

Does anyone know how to disable the home button from waking the phone? Its very annoying when it wakes it in my pocket. Since the hardware buttons poke out so far its a lot more prone to happen and its killing my battery.
